WHAT YOU'LL DO

You'll provide varied administrative support including managing correspondence, processing post, sending membership materials, and helping with event administration. You'll maintain accurate records by entering data into Salesforce- our customer database, checking reports match, and organising documentation. You'll also help keep the office running smoothly by liaising with suppliers and assisting with health & safety compliance.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You'll have experience in general administrative roles with strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. You'll be proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), reliable, proactive, and able to work independently whilst being a supportive team player. Experience with Salesforce is desirable but not essential.

About the role

Sightsavers is looking for a Finance and Support Services Intern to gain experience in running the daily finance and support services functions for the Zimbabwe country office, under the leadership of the Finance and Support Services Officer (FSSO). This is an excellent opportunity for someone to begin their career in Finance.

As the Finance and Support Services Intern you will prepare payment requisitions and deposit slips for cash to be deposited into the bank, process expenses payments, maintain accounting files and records, and update and maintenance of fixed asset register under the direction of FSSO.

Further duties include:

• Support logistic for travels and activities.

• Track and following up on outstanding advances and ensure timely reconciliation.

• Updating and maintenance of fixed asset register under the direction of FSSO.

• Assist in gathering /photocopying of documentations.

• Assist in providing support during seminars, workshops, etc.

• Assist in periodic verification of physical inventory.

• Ensure the office facility is properly maintained for good work environment.

• Assist in booking hotels and shuttle services for Sightsavers Staff coming into the country.

• Assist in sourcing out quotations for both programme and office procurement needs.

Skills and Experience

As the ideal intern you will possess a recent graduate degree in Finance/Accounting (or be within the last year of your degree) and hold a professional accounting qualification or are working towards gaining one.

• Ability to work with minimum supervision

Join Universify as our Programme Co-ordinator! This is a great opportunity for someone experienced in working with young people and interested in joining a friendly and passionate team to deliver a core aspect of the charity’s objectives. 

Who we are

Universify exists to create a fairer, more equal society where every young person can fulfil their potential regardless of their background. We equip young people from low socio-economic and underrepresented backgrounds with the skills, knowledge, and belief to fulfil their potential through education.

We work primarily with Year 10-11 students (aged 14-16) to increase their aspirations, improve GCSE attainment and to gain a greater understanding of post-18 pathways, particularly university, to make a more informed decision about their future. To achieve our aims, we currently run two year-long programmes. Our main Oxford programme includes a week-long residential in summer of Year 10, a 3-day GCSE-focused revision residential in the spring of Year 11, and regular online coaching. Our Step Ahead Bristol programme consists of a calendar of day visits in Bristol and Oxford in Year 10 and 11 and regular online coaching. 

The role

As the Programme Coordinator, you will work within the programme team to co-ordinate and deliver our national programme and communities programme for over 100 participants. You will also support the planning and oversight of our activities for partner-led programmes. 

Main Duties

• Preparing and delivering our programmes
  • Organise programme logistics- including managing room bookings, kit preparation, individuals’ requirements
  • Co-ordinate recruitment and onboarding for students, tutors and volunteers
  • Manage general enquiries and administration alongside the programme team
• Coordinating the coaching programme and managing enquiries

The Catalyst Collective is an innovative and rapidly growing non-profit organisation. Since our pilot programme launched in January 2021, we have expanded significantly. Now in our fifth year of operation, we are seeking an organised and proactive Programme Manager to play a pivotal role in driving our growth and ensuring the successful delivery of our mentoring programmes.

• Be the Programme Manager for The Cumbrian Way programme including:

About Bright Futures UK

 Bright Futures UK supports children and young people aged 5 to 24 whose education has been disrupted due to serious long-term physical or mental health conditions. We offer online one-to-one tutoring, befriending, and mentoring programmes, as well as group activities including hospital workshops, industry events, and advocacy initiatives. You’ll deliver a range of engaging financial education programmes to young people, adults, and professionals. Trainers love working with our participants and are the front line of our work; representing our exceptional programme quality in a variety of settings.

The role requires significant travel to locations across London and surrounding areas, to deliver face-to-face sessions to diverse learners. Occasional virtual sessions also need to be delivered. You’ll receive a TFL travel card, provided by Money Ready, to cover all travel costs.

We’re proud of the quality of our trainers and have a great mix of people. You’ll join an excellent team in London with a wealth of experience, so there will be ample opportunity for you to learn. You’ll also be encouraged to provide feedback on where our programmes might improve.

Importantly, you do not need to be an existing expert on financial education; we will train you on everything you need to know. Rather we are looking for people who will be great trainers!

We are now recruiting for a Lead Coach in Islington - an outstanding opportunity to work as part of a local church to deliver the Spear Programme.

You’ll be working with the local church to manage the delivery of Resurgo's award-winning Spear Programme. Over the last 20 years, Spear has supported more than 11,000 young people across the UK with the work-ready skills and mindset they need to succeed in employment, no matter the challenges they face. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.
• Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room.
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.

Delivery of Spear Career [20%]

• Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees.

Training the Asssistant Coach [10%]

• Contributing towards the training and developing of the Assistant Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback.

Trainee recruitment [10%]

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics.

Continuous professional development

• Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and supporting the Church Partnerships Managers with overall team training and development.

Personal qualities we're looking for:

• An active Christian, passionate about personally representing the values and beliefs of Resurgo and the partner church
• You have demonstrable experience as a coach, or a background in youth work or teaching, and are keen to develop these skills further
• You have a heart for young people and releasing their potential, no matter what challenging circumstances they are facing
• Effective interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence with a sense of humour and fun
• You are great at building relationships, with solid communication skills
• Good administrative and organisational skills, working well under pressure with the ability to prioritise workload

We are excited to be re-launching our Give it a Go programme, which offers one-off events and activities designed to help our diverse student body build connections and feel settled. Give It A Go (GIAG) is a programme of events open to all students at the University of Kent with the aim to provide a variety of activities for a broad range of students to try out. These could be craft sessions, sports, trips off campus and much more, we want to help students make connections, encouraging belonging, try something new, meet new people and develop their skills.

We also want to enhance the events we deliver for university open days and offer holder days to showcase why students should choose Kent. What you will be doing:

• To oversee and co-ordinate our Give it a Go Programme, ensuring a variety of safe, inclusive and engaging events, trips and opportunities are delivered across the year. Day to day activities might include planning, setting up and delivering events through a small student staff team, liaising with our marketing department to promote the programme, monitoring attendance, seeking student feedback and completing risk assessments and ensuring the safety of attendees.
• To co-ordinate our presence at Arrivals Weekend and deliver a series of events as part of Welcome Week including supporting the delivery of Welcome Fair.
• To co-ordinate Kent Student Union’s presence at University Open Days and Offer Holder Days held on Saturdays, ensuring they are staffed, interactive and showcase Kent Students’ Union’s impact on the student experience to prospective students.
• To support the delivery of wider KSU events as and when required such as Summerball.
• This role involves regular manual handling tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving items. Training, guidance, and appropriate equipment will be provided. Candidates must be able to perform these duties safely, with reasonable adjustments considered where applicable.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience of managing people (paid staff or volunteers) to deliver outstanding results.
• Experience of financial management
• A track record of working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and building effective relationships
• Experience of promoting and delivering a wide range of events

Knowledge

• A good knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice in the management of health and safety including the completion of risk assessments.
• An understanding of the current issues affecting higher education institutions and students

As part of our small, dynamic and purpose-driven team, you will play a key role in helping to grow support for our work. You will bring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to collaborative working and high professional standards. Alongside your core responsibilities, you will help maintain our organisational database and support the coordination and delivery of a diverse programme of supporter events—ensuring that every guest enjoys an exceptional experience. A key feature of this role is the comprehensive training programme built in to support your professional growth. You will receive structured development across all areas of fundraising—including trust and foundation fundraising, individual giving, stewardship, event management and data management. • Work alongside colleagues to deliver bespoke supporter events in Leeds and at venues across the UK

• Be supported with an in-depth training programme to develop your skills as an arts fundraiser

We are looking for someone who

• Has administrative experience, organisational and time-management skills – able to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Has experience using or an interest in learning how to use CRM systems (ideally Spektrix) to manage data and support fundraising activities
• Is a motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to engage with Northern Ballet’s supporters
