Whether your background is in gambling-specific treatment or in the wider addiction and recovery field, drug and alcohol services, mental health, or related social care, being a Gambling Support Practitioner is a strong fit for people with real experience supporting behaviour change.

You'll find plenty here that's familiar: full structured interventions using CBT and motivational interviewing, supporting people through assessment, formulation and recovery planning, as well as brief check-ins for clients further along in recovery, all delivered within GamCare's Model of Care. Sessions are delivered face to face, by phone and by video, alongside outreach and partnership work with local services and referral pathways. You'll manage this with your own professional judgement on complex cases, working within clear governance and safeguarding frameworks and backed by regular supervision, using the core skills you already have, applied in a new context and grounded in a proven, structured model. 

About you

We're looking for someone with real experience delivering CBT-informed or motivational interventions, wherever that experience comes from. You'll be confident managing a caseload with genuine complexity and risk, comfortable using both low- and high-intensity interventions, and able to work within clear governance and safeguarding frameworks while using your own professional judgement. Experience specifically with gambling harm is welcome but not required, and many strong practitioners in this field have come from adjacent addiction or mental health backgrounds.

Role Purpose: 

The Helpline Advisor will be the first point of contact for individuals reporting incidents of anti-Muslim hate. The role requires delivering empathetic, confidential, and high-quality support to callers, as well as accurately recording reports and ensuring all relevant procedures are followed.

About the Role

To be a key member of the staff team delivering the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Services. Taking part in a rota covering 7 days per week, ensuring the delivery of high-quality crisis support, and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the Crisis Cafe/Helpline services. Working closely with other staff such as the Service Manager, Team Leads, Coordinators, Support Workers and volunteers in order to ensure services are of the highest quality and to support the continued growth and development of the service.

About the Service

Hertfordshire Mind Network’s Nightlight Service (Cafés, Helpline, 24/7 Crisis House, A&E Liaison service and Daylight provision) is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention, and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways.

We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our Helpline, Cafes and 24/7 Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary. As a member of our diverse team, you will work closely with service users in crisis, by using a person-centred approach to ensure that everyone is supported with dignity and respect. By honouring the individual experience of each service user, we are able to respect their autonomy as well as encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery.

The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s (HMN) Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Services are:

The position will support victims to navigate the criminal justice system (CJS), civil and family courts, and wider statutory and voluntary services. We have an exciting opportunity for a Carer Engagement Lead to join our team, in a new role working directly with the CEO to ensure that carers lived experience is heard and understood and that carers, including young carers across Essex, have opportunities to participate and contribute. This is a rewarding and varied role, combining direct engagement with carers alongside analysing data and communicating evidence of need to help effect real and positive change.

You will be an engaging communicator with active listening skills and the ability to interpret and apply lived experience to strategic and policy decisions and planning.  You will ideally have personal experience of unpaid caring responsibilities and may have previously facilitated service user involvement. You'll be passionate about harnessing the voice of local carers to secure improved outcomes for carers of all ages across Essex.

Action for Family Carers is a thriving charity which for over 35 years has been providing support for Adult Carers and Young Carers – people with unpaid caring responsibilities for others. We are a Carers Trust Network Partner and hold the Excellence for Carers quality mark. We provide support including information, coaching, counselling, peer support, respite care, and Young Carer clubs across Essex, working within schools, GP practices and a variety of community settings.

Your responsibilities will include:

       Coordinating participation opportunities that enable adult and young carers to influence local, regional and national policy decisions and help achieve positive change

       Harnessing and amplifying local carer voice and experience and engaging carers in service planning, delivery and review

       Identifying themes and trends and ensuring these are communicated to key stakeholders

       Monitoring and reporting on outcomes.

       You will need to be:

       An excellent communicator with empathy and active listening skills.

       Proactive, highly organised and equally at home analysing data or producing reports as in engaging with carers and senior local decision makers

       Confident in the use of IT including Microsoft 365 and CRMs (databases).

       Passionate about improving outcomes for local carers.

We’re looking for a Marketing Automation Officer to help us spread the word about our work through email marketing and other digital channels.

What does this role do?

As Marketing Automation Officer, you will:

• manage e-marketing campaigns throughout the full lifecycle, from developing campaign briefs and agreeing timelines, to building automated journeys and monitoring their performance,
• manage audiences through ensuring data quality and compliance of email distribution lists and supporting with audience segmentation, ensuring messages reach the right audiences,
• work closely with colleagues across the Marketing and Communications division to coordinate campaign activity, regularly updating campaign stakeholders on performance.

Interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for week commencing 24th August 2026 and will take place on Teams.

Could this be you?

To be successful in this role, you’ll need email marketing experience, specifically with experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud. We’re looking for a strong technical candidate for this role, who has significant experience of building and delivering campaigns, as well as SQL proficiency to support selections, integrations and customisations. You’ll be an excellent communicator, with the ability to translate organisational objectives into compelling marketing campaigns. A passion for animals and the work we do is essential.
