About the role:

This role is based at our National Contact Centre in Cardiff. There will be an initial induction period that will run Monday to Friday 9am-5pm for a 4 week period. After successfully completing your induction, you will move to your fixed rota hours.

As a Helpline Adviser you will:

• Able to respond to victims of and those affected by crime by providing emotional support, information and referrals on to Victim Support services and other agencies
• Providing immediate support, advice and trauma first aid referrals to victims of and those affected by major incidents and terrorism.
• Seamlessly working across multiple services with different processes, procedures and recording mechanisms.
• Managing and responding appropriately to competing priorities, services and needs.
• Responsible for taking disclosures and responding appropriately by either escalating the safeguarding concern to the 'Designated Safeguarding Officer' or to respond immediately to life threatening situations.

You will need:

• Experience of working in challenging and changing environments with the emphasis on excellence in service delivery.
• Experience of organising and prioritising a complex workload.
• The ability to deal sensitively with challenging and emotionally charged situations, demonstrate empathy and control own emotions.

Role Purpose: 

The Helpline Advisor will be the first point of contact for individuals reporting incidents of anti-Muslim hate. The role requires delivering empathetic, confidential, and high-quality support to callers, as well as accurately recording reports and ensuring all relevant procedures are followed. 

Helpline Advisors will support service users via multiple channels—phone, email, SMS, WhatsApp, online chat and web form, by listening actively, offering appropriate information, and making referrals to specialist services where required. They will work closely with the Helpline Supervisor and participate in debriefs and reflective practice after each shift or reported incident. 

Advisors will also play an important role in ensuring accurate data capture, safeguarding procedures, and upholding the values of compassion, non-judgement, and confidentiality. 

Role Responsibilities:  

• Answer incoming calls from victims of hate crime with empathy and professionalism. 
    

• Provide support to service users using a variety of methods, including telephone, email, SMS, online chat, online forms, and other written reports. 
    

• Provide clear, appropriate advice, support, and information to service users, using a non-judgemental and person-centred approach. 
    

• Keep accurate, detailed electronic records of each contact, including advice given, support offered, and agreed referrals. 
    

• Understand when it is necessary to seek support from more experienced colleagues or external agencies and take appropriate action. 
    

• Make referrals to other agencies when necessary, including child and adult protection concerns, on the advice of senior staff. 
    

• Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with data protection and safeguarding policies. 
    

• Engage sensitively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those who may be distressed, traumatised, or in crisis (trauma-informed approach)

Person Specification:  

• Experience in helpline, support work, or similar client-facing roles. 
    

• Understanding of hate crime and its impacts, particularly on Muslim communities. 
    

• Excellent listening, communication, and note-taking skills. 
    

• Ability to manage emotional content and maintain professional boundaries. 
    

• Strong understanding and knowledge of anti-Muslim hatred and Islamophobia. 
    

• Excellent understanding of British Muslim communities, their diversity, and everyday practices. 

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote/hybrid setting. 
    

• Experience working with marginalised communities or individuals affected by discrimination or trauma is an asset. 

• Familiarity with call-handling software or CRMs (e.g., RingCentral, Zoho) is desirable but not necessary.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Volunteer & Digital Services Coordinator to manage our volunteer programme and our Helpline & Digital Service.

In this role, you will recruit, train, supervise and support all volunteer roles (Helpline & Digital Service, art group and admin volunteers) and develop the volunteering provision at SARA, including organising SARA community events to engage volunteers. You will also have oversight of SARA’s Helpline & Digital Services (helpline, live chat and email service) for survivors of sexual violence. To do this, you will promote SARA’s digital services in Greater Manchester and beyond, develop the digital services procedures, line manage helpline sessional workers, ensure service user confidentiality, safeguard service users using the digital services, coordinate the on-call safeguarding rota for the digital services, identify service user themes, and collect and record all service area data.

Are you an experienced IDVA, ready to work with a creative and dynamic team, advocating for women, families and the LGBT+ community who have experienced Domestic Abuse? Then join us to lead a team of specialist caseworkers, supporting survivors to address practical issues and empower them in their recovery!

The RISE Team Leader will be a skilled independent domestic and sexual violence advocate who will oversee a small team of case and group workers as well as managing Helpline volunteers. She will be a qualified IDVA and ISVA or be willing to complete the accreditations in the first six months in post.

She will hold a caseload of her own and coordinate a team providing support and guidance through a range of interventions and support offers working closely with an experienced Manager and other Team Leaders. Together with their team they will build, maintain and create links to deliver survivor-focused, trauma aware/ responsive support to help survivors and their family to cope and recover.

They will be the lead on developing, implementing and coordinating the Helpline, Casework and Projects with day-to-day practice oversight of staff and volunteers. The Team Leader will work co-operatively and flexibly alongside RISE colleagues providing expert input and contributing to the effective running of the organisation as a whole.

We are looking to recruit HopeLine24/7 Advisers to provide individually tailored suicide prevention advice and guidance to young people and those who are concerned for them via our national multi-channel helpline HopeLine24/7 and deliver suicide prevention training online and in community settings across the UK.

What you will do:

• Work as part of a team providing suicide prevention support to a range of clients via multichannel communication platforms.
• Work on a 7-day shift system
• Use professional judgement to assess the needs of the service users who present with risk to life and manage and report any matters related to safeguarding. 
• Maintain accurate records and input data monitoring into the data base system.
• Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practise. 
• Provide training, mentoring and coaching to new recruits.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• a degree or professional qualification in Health or Social Care, Community Work or a related discipline
• previous experience of working in an advisory capacity in suicide prevention or mental health
• a proven record of working directly with vulnerable young people
• experience of providing advice and guidance via multiple communication channels
• the ability to empathise, support and build rapport with suicidal people and those who care about them, remaining non-judgemental and adhering to the remit of the service

Salary: £16,230.50 per annum progressing incrementally to £17,944.67 per annum. (Scale point 24-28). As a night shift worker, you will receive an additional allowance of £10 per night shift. This will be paid on a monthly basis along with the salary.

Hours:  16.5 hours per week – 2 nights per week.

Working arrangements:  This role will work shifts starting at 10:25pm and finishing at 7:40am. Shifts will be on a rota bases across a 7-day working week.

You will develop and maintain datasets, dashboards and reports, helping colleagues monitor performance, understand outcomes and demonstrate the impact of our work.

You will also review and improve the systems and processes that support service delivery, ensuring data is accurate, consistent and reliable. This will include developing automated solutions, improving reporting processes and working closely with colleagues across service, data and IT teams to help them access, understand and use data effectively.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need advanced experience of Power BI, including semantic models, star schemas, DAX, calculated columns, hierarchies and performance optimisation. You will also be proficient in Power Query Editor and M Language, with experience of Power BI datasets, dataflows, semantic layers and SQL for querying, transforming, testing and validating data from multiple sources.

You will bring experience from an analytical or data-focused role, working with large and complex datasets to produce reports, insights and recommendations. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills are essential, alongside excellent attention to detail, knowledge of data governance and GDPR, and experience of handling sensitive data.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead IRMO’s Advice programme. As our Senior Advice Programme Manager, you’ll manage a dedicated team and oversee a range of initiatives that provide high-quality information and advice services to respond to the changing needs of our community.

The Advice programme provides trusted information, resources, advice and casework in Spanish and Portuguese on key areas of need, including immigration, welfare entitlements, housing and homelessness prevention. IRMO is accredited by the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) at Level 3. We are also members of Advice UK and receive second-tier support from Southwark Law Centre.

Alongside this, the programme works with local health boards to run initiatives designed to improve access to health services, such as HIV testing, sexual health and family planning advice and Chagas disease testing. Our team provide a vital service available to older people and anyone seeking advice to support an older person in need. Our team of trained Advisors are dedicated to providing accurate, impartial and comprehensive information and advice to help support those in later life.

Many older people are concerned about the cost of rising energy bills, poor housing, accessibility to health and social care services. This is where our Information and Advice Advisers play a vital role in raising awareness and empowering older people to access the support they need, and to understand their statutory rights.

Overall Job Purpose:

 As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be instrumental in developing and driving forward DENS community and prevention services, during an exciting period for the charity, as we move into the new DENS Centre and relocate our Foodbank. As an ambassador both internally and externally, you will work collaboratively with the CEO and the wider leadership team to deliver DENS strategy and role model organisational values. With a focus on building and maintaining a strong network of external relationships, you will identify opportunities for growth and partnership working. You will be responsible for a diverse range of services in the community.

You are a strategic and visionary leader with a solid background in the homelessness sector, a deep understanding of the challenges faced by the client community, and a firm grasp of safeguarding principles. With proven line management experience, you know how to motivate teams, coach peers, and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture. You excel at building strong external partnerships with local government and funders, using your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to influence, negotiate, and champion DENS’s strategy. Our aim is to be the first port of call for people in Dacorum who are facing homelessness, poverty and social exclusion; to support and empower them to take the next positive step in their lives, secure and maintain a long-term housing option and be an active member of their community.

We ensure individuals have access to temporary and short-term accommodation, and individuals and families have access to emergency food and provisions. We provide a range of services so that people can develop the resilience, skills, and confidence to take the next step in their lives.

We’re looking for a collaborative, highly organised Youth Engagement Project Officer, who is passionate about building opportunities for children and young people in libraries.

You’ll have great communication skills and enthusiasm for platforming young people’s voices.
