About the role 

You’ll provide a personalised service that enables appropriate levels of self-advocacy and/ or advocate on behalf of clients, signposting to other services as relevant.

This role is fixed term until 31st December 2027.

• Provide in depth, person-centred information and guidance to clients via our helpline service. 

• Keep accurate, up to date online client records in line with practice.

Helplines Partnership (HLP) is looking for a creative, digitally skilled communicator to join our small, friendly team. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of the UK helpline sector, with real scope to grow our reach, membership and influence.

You will support and deliver HLP's Marketing and Communications Strategy managing social media, building email campaigns, leading on website content, and producing graphics and video. You will co-create sector campaigns including our annual Helpline Awareness Day, develop press releases and media commentary, and report on performance across all digital channels. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage budgets and lead cross-team projects are essential.

The ideal candidate will have experience in digital communications or marketing, be a confident copywriter across multiple audiences, and be comfortable with CRM software and a website CMS. Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, Google Analytics or Wagtail is desirable, as is knowledge of the charity or membership sector. Key Responsibilities

To support the delivery of effective and dynamic public and food bank facing support services. Ensuring that food banks have the technical support and information to work and report effectively and that people facing hunger or hardship receive compassionate and practical advice. Responsible for answering public and food bank enquiries, providing technical support to food banks to ensure the delivery of high-quality services that support the network to work towards an end to the need for food banks in the UK.

This role is part of Trussell’s Food Bank Resilience programme, the goal of which is to support every food bank to develop and sustain the core offer of a warm welcome, food and advice for every person, for as long as their services are needed, while orienting their organisations towards an end to the need for food banks. This role is focused on the successful delivery of the overall programme outcomes, contributing to the fulfilment of our long-term vision of a UK without the need for food banks.

Role responsibilities

Responding to customer enquiries
Respond to calls and emails from the public, food banks, and referral agencies, ensuring each person receives accurate and timely information to support their ongoing journey. This includes providing details of local food banks and other food‑aid providers, signposting to relevant national and local agencies, replying to emails, answering phone calls, responding to complaints, and directing customers to the appropriate teams or resources so they can operate confidently and access the support they need for their current situation.

Supporting Volunteers
Provide support to our Support Team Volunteers ensuring they have a positive experience volunteering for Trussell and are well-equipped to respond to incoming enquiries. This includes managing rotas, supporting training and regular team meetings, leading on volunteer recruitment and providing ongoing recognition. Additionally, monitoring the wellbeing of volunteers throughout their shifts, providing support after difficult calls and promptly responding to their queries. This ensures that Public Support Team Volunteers feel valued and supported and can carry out their duties effectively.  

Generate and analyse data reports
Generate and analyse data reports to support accurate monitoring, insight development and effective decision making across programmes and partnerships. This includes ensuring information is accurately logged and generating regular and ad-hoc reports, analysing and verifying data for accuracy, and sharing insights with with internal programmes and external partners to ensure reliable information is used to guide planning, demonstrate impact and improve service delivery.

Develop and maintain accurate internal signposting information
Develop and maintain our internal Signposting repository. This includes ensuring the information is kept up to date, simple to use, and contains well maintained information that supports colleagues to deliver accurate and consistent guidance to callers.

Co-ordinate, advise on and implement offers and pilot projects
Co-ordinate, advise on and implement projects that support the ongoing development of the Public Support Line and the delivery of offers and pilot projects to food banks. These projects will be driven by insights and user feedback and include establishing new systems and ways of working to ensure the phone line is relevant, supportive and in line with Trussell values. This also includes coordinating and communicating offers and pilot projects to food banks, sharing clear and timely information, gathering and responding to queries, co-ordinating participation, and ensuring updates and requirements are communicated in accessible ways. Provide technical support
Provide technical support to food banks and referral agencies to enable efficient use of systems and tools provided by Trussell. Endometriosis UK is the leading UK charity supporting those living with endometriosis. Formed in 1981, we offer information and support to all those affected by endometriosis, for example through our website, webinars and information leaflets, and via our local support groups, Helpline, webchat and online forum. As well as directly supporting those with endometriosis, we work to raise awareness of endometriosis amongst healthcare practitioners, the public and the media; lobby for improved treatment and management; and support research. We have a big job to do and ambitious plans. 

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a new National Lottery Young Start funded project focused on improving menstrual health awareness among young people aged 13–25 in Scotland, with a particular focus on Glasgow and disadvantaged communities.

As Youth Engagement Coordinator, you will lead the design and delivery of a youth-led programme of community engagement, events and digital content. You will work directly with young people to co-produce resources, campaigns and activities that improve understanding of menstrual health conditions, including endometriosis.

Addiction Family Support is the leading UK-registered charity supporting adults affected or bereaved by a loved one's harmful use of alcohol, drugs, or gambling.

The role: Family Support Worker (Bereavement)

As a Family Support Worker at Addiction Family Support, you will be responsible for delivering a range of services to provide crucial emotional and practical assistance to individuals bereaved (and affected) by the loss of a loved one due to addiction. Through both individual and group support, you will offer a compassionate and understanding presence, helping people navigate grief and loss in a safe and supportive environment.

Our service delivery takes place via several methods, including taking calls on our telephone Helpline, responding to emails through our email service and delivering remote 5-Step Method informed intervention to individuals and groups via an online platform.

• Offer empathetic and non-judgmental structured emotional and practical support to those affected by the bereavement of a loved one due to addiction (via a Helpline and 5-Step Method informed one to one and group support).
• Provide or signpost information, literature, and resources to help individuals and groups manage grief and cope with their situations.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate bereavement support group meetings, creating a safe space for participants to share their experiences and provide mutual support.

This role is key in ensuring effective delivery of a range of business services to clients. Working within a small, dynamic team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring our range of services focused on worker wellbeing are delivered professionally and sensitively. This is an exciting role that sits at the heart of Unseen’s response to worker exploitation, engaging with clients, interviewing workers at diverse client sites across the UK, supporting colleagues on providing allegation management and business portal services for clients as well as supporting on delivering the Seasonal Worker Scheme Support Line.

The role requires a professional individual who is a confident communicator, self-motivated, displays empathy and is an independent critical thinker.  Experience working in a corporate environment or with business clients is highly desirable, along with experience transforming data into actionable insights for a range of stakeholders, large-scale project management, and the application of auditing principles or experience visiting labour-based sites.

Knowledge of how to engage with vulnerable individuals and businesses of all sizes is a strong advantage, particularly within the construction, manufacturing, and agricultural sectors.

Salary: £30,139.86 per annum. We are an accredited member of the Living Wage Foundation.

Location: Unseen’s head office in Bristol (Hybrid approach with some working from home days. This role will require you to attend the office on an ad hoc basis and a degree of flexibility will be required.)

Contract type: Permanent, full-time – 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday).

Unseen is working towards a world without slavery. We provide safehouses and support in the community for survivors of trafficking and modern slavery. We also run the Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline and work with individuals, communities, businesses, governments, other charities, and statutory agencies to stamp out slavery for good.

Purpose of the role:

The Senior Policy & Partnerships Officer will deliver policy and research projects and facilitate lived experience voice into Unseen’s policy, research and practice. You will work closely with the Head of Policy & Research, the Survivor Involvement Coordinator and Unseen’s Survivor Consultants and be responsible for the Survivor Consultant groups.

You will also support the Head of Policy & Research in the coordination of the Southwest Anti-Slavery Partnership. Unseen facilitates the Avon & Somerset Anti-Slavery Partnership board, the Regional Anti-Slavery Partnership board and Bristol Modern Slavery Operational Partnership. We support the chairs of other force area partnerships in the region and act as a point of contact in the Southwest, driving forward responses to modern slavery in the region and providing advice and guidance to partners to improve their practice.

You will work closely with Unseen’s Policy & Research team and have regular interactions with staff across Unseen’s wider teams including Business Services, Helpline Services, Support Services, Fundraising, Communications, and Operations.

About you:

Patient & Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Manager

The PKD Charity is looking for an exceptional communicator and relationship-builder to lead patient involvement in groundbreaking PKD research.

This is not a standard engagement role.

You will help ensure that the voices, experiences and priorities of people living with polycystic kidney disease directly influence research, clinical studies and future healthcare decisions across the UK.

PKD affects around 70,000 people in the UK. It causes kidney failure, lifelong health complications and reduced life expectancy. There is currently no cure.

We believe research is stronger when patients are genuinely heard — not consulted as an afterthought.

The Opportunity

As our Patient & Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Manager, you’ll lead and shape involvement activity through the PKD Research Hub, working alongside patients, researchers, clinicians and partners to make research more inclusive, meaningful and impactful.

• Lead and support our Patient Involvement Panel
• Facilitate high-quality patient engagement and focus groups
• Work directly with researchers and industry partners
• Champion authentic lived experience in research decision-making
