Our Muscle Group meetings provide a warm, friendly space for people affected by muscle-wasting and weakening conditions to meet with others in their local area. The groups meet either in person or on Zoom; three meetings per year are held in each of the 14 regions. Muscle Group meetings are a relaxed, confidential forum for people to ask questions, share experiences and learn from guest speakers. They should be fully accessible to all, including family, friends, and carers of those living with conditions.
You will lead on the organisation of these meetings and management of the volunteers who chair them, ensuring throughout that meetings meet the needs of our community.
You will also support the Volunteer Engagement Manager to ensure that volunteers across the organisation are recruited, trained and managed effectively. Here at MDUK, it’s important that all our volunteers are supported in their roles – this includes an induction process that sets clear expectations and provides the training and resources they need, regular open communication with employees, and opportunities for peer-to-peer volunteer support. Team members will work with volunteers to ensure we’re making the best use of their skills and experience and that they get the most they can from their role.

The role of the Outreach & Development Worker is to ensure carers of all ages and backgrounds are aware of their rights and know how to receive support from Gaddum and other services they need at the right time for them.
The job holder will provide outreach & support sessions, deliver groups and events for carers and other relevant partners across Salford. Creating exciting new opportunities for carers through networking and building partnerships.
The role will focus on the outreach provision, being based in different locations across Salford including hospitals, community venues, mental health settings and others accessed by people with caring responsibilities. The role will include supporting the continued development of the service, assisting with the creation of resources and training. The role will also support our involvement offer; ensuring carers are at the forefront of service change and service delivery.

We are an agile social enterprise looking for a qualified Finance Manager to manage and operate our existing finance function. Working flexibly from home, you will perform a core role in our small, friendly virtual team helping to maintain financial stability and control as we focus on our mission to deliver successful projects across a range of settings globally. You will report to the Strategy Director. The role is advertised at 15 hours per week and the preference would be for these hours to be worked over 3 days, however this can be flexed in line with the cyclical nature of some of the finance activities, particularly during quarter end.
This role has management & operational responsibility for all finance processes including budgeting, cashflow, VAT, Payroll, and overall management of our bank accounts and treasury. The Finance Manager will also manage the relationship and coordinate with our outsourced financial service providers.

New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. About the Role
Our young carers team are commissioned by statutory services to provide one-to-one support and opportunities for time out and fun to young carers across Surrey.
We are looking for an adaptable and confident leader to line manage a team of five remote-working staff, who are passionate about supporting children and young people and helping them reach the best possible outcomes.
You will either be an experienced line manager, looking for a role that can offer you flexibility, a great work-life balance and the opportunity to manage a team who really care about the work that they do. Or you will have supervisory experience and be looking for your next role. Either way, you must have comprehensive experience working with children and young people in health, social care, education or the voluntary sector.
Key Responsibilities
- To motivate, encourage and lead a team of front-line staff.
- To advise and the support the team on managing their caseload and workplan and on safeguarding matters.
- To network and represent SYC in professional meetings, with stakeholders and doners.
- Deliver awareness raising sessions to professionals in health, social care and education on young carers.

About You
- You will be a confident leader and have the management skills to effectively lead and motivate a team
- You will have a proven professional experience of working with children, young people and families

- You will have experience of recording service user information on databases and have confidence in using a range software packages.
- You will have a clear and confident communication style, and be able to engage effectively and inspire professionals, young carers and your own team.
- You will have had a proven work history in managing safeguarding concerns and have a good understanding of data protection legislation.
Events and activities for Young Carers are held during evenings, weekends and the school holiday period. You must be available to attend these events from time-to-time for monitoring and coaching purposes and to provide cover, for example in the event of sickness.
This role involves hybrid working, based at home and working at our offices in Burpham, Guildford.

New Horizon Youth Centre has been commissioned by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) as part of an Alliance with Safer London, St Giles Trust and the Anna Freud Centre to deliver on their Children and Young People’s Violence and Exploitation and Reduction support service. In2scienceUK’s aim is to promote social mobility and diversity in science, technology, engineering and maths. We do this by leveraging the skills and passion of researchers and STEM professionals to support young people (16+) from low socio-economic backgrounds to achieve their potential and progress to degrees and careers in STEM.
The successful applicant will be joining In2scienceUK at an exciting point in its mission having recently launched a number of new initiatives, both in-person and online, to support young people build the skills, knowledge and confidence to build successful careers in STEM.
Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Safeguarding Manager to join our growing team and own our safeguarding processes end to end. This is a crucial role to ensure the safety of the young people we work with and that In2scienceUK provides a safe environment for all.
This role is part time and contract based and would be ideal for someone who has significant experience of safeguarding and child protection law, as well as experience
in carrying out safeguarding audits, implementing safeguarding processes for both in person and online offers, as well as internal and external safeguarding training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
