We are looking for a Head of Resources to join our team.

Emmaus Bristol is a local charity, working to help people out of homelessness. The work we do here changes lives.

This is a new role for Emmaus Bristol. Through our five-year-planning process we identified a new staffing
structure that will allow our charity to thrive and to grow. The Head of Resources is needed so that the core organisation runs smoothly, and policies, processes and systems allow the team to do their jobs efficiently and effectively. This will be crucial as we develop new streams of work, and help more people out of homelessness or into work.

The Head of Resources therefore, will have a key role to play in making Emmaus Bristol an effective charity.

This is a senior leadership role, but as we are a small charity, all roles are somewhat hands-on. You’ll need to be as confident discussing our reserves policy with trustees, as you would be resolving a cash discrepancy with a retail team member, and just as good at strategy as you are at detail.

The Hepatitis C Trust has developed projects nationally whereby peers use their lived experience of injecting drug use and hepatitis C, to provide education and training to service users and staff in drug and alcohol, hostel and homeless services, increasing hepatitis C awareness, access to testing and referral to treatment for people living with hepatitis C.

Working under the guidance of the Peer Programme Manager, this post will continue the development of the project, recruiting and coordinating peers across Cornwall.

Working in partnership with hepatitis C clinical teams, drug and alcohol services, homeless service providers, primary care and community pharmacies, and targeting marginalised and disadvantaged communities, the post will coordinate delivery of educational workshops, hepatitis C testing and harm reduction interventions to ensure that service users are referred and supported through hepatitis C treatment and care. 

This post will require extensive travel across the region and the post holder is required to hold a clean driving licence and have their own vehicle for work related travel.

SHP (Single Homeless Project) is one of London’s leading homelessness prevention charities and a dynamic and growing organisation changing 10,000 lives every year across London - from supporting people in crisis, to helping them take the final steps towards independence and employment.

We are seeking experienced and highly motivated staff members for our Complex Needs Accommodation Service. The role will require you to work alongside the Regional Services Manager , to provide a high level of support to these clients at our Ashley Road and Milton House projects.

You will be in a specialist role designed to work with people with complex support needs relating to: mental ill health, physical health & substance use needs. You will also play a key part in reducing the risk of re-offending, liaising with external professionals, preventing homelessness and promoting the independence and social inclusion of these clients.

The working rota for this post is Monday - Friday. (no weekend shifts) and a mixture of earlies (8am - 3.30pm) & lates (3pm - 10.30pm)

About you:

• Previous experience of working with people with complex support needs.
• Ability to manage a caseload and deliver positive outcomes utilising your knowledge of the health, social care and criminal justice sector.   
• A flexible, innovative and creative approach to working with a sometimes hard to engage and challenging client group, is also required.

Hostel Support Worker

Position Available: 2 Support Workers

Shift Pattern - 11-week rolling rota including weekends:

Early Shift: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm

Late Shift: 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Appointment Shift: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Description:

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our social care client's team as Hostel Support Workers. This position involves providing vital support to individuals with complex needs, including substance misuse, mental health difficulties, and criminal justice issues. Our clients, both men and women, often come with their faithful companions, and we accommodate a few dogs in the hostel.

Responsibilities:

• Key-working and case management for a caseload of 5 to 10 clients.
• Providing individualised support and guidance to residents, addressing their specific needs and challenges.
• Facilitating group activities and workshops within the communal spaces.

Overview of Role:

As a Support Worker, you will be working with young people aged 12-25 years old who have experience of self-harm. Within that age group, you will predominantly be working with young people under 18. The post would suit an experienced support worker, preferably with knowledge of the issues experienced by young people who are trans / non-binary.

You will play a key role in providing them with support and advocacy both on a one to-one basis and within a group setting; working with them to develop their emotional skills which will allow them to cope more effectively with the difficulties in their lives. The nature of the work means role that the successful candidate must focus on inclusivity for the young people.

The successful candidate will have considerable experience in working with young people aged 12-25 and will enjoy the challenge of working with adolescents in difficult circumstances. You will need to be able to work within a non-discriminatory framework, ensuring the services are provided in a qualitative, responsive, and accessible manner.

The Amber Project exists to support any young person (aged 14-25) in Cardiff and the surrounding areas who has experience of self-harm. With our Constellation element working with young people aged 12-25. Since The Amber project was established in 2002 individual support and creative
workshops have been key elements of our work with young people.

Salary: £13,406 per annum (£26,812.00 per annum FTE).

Hours:  20 hours per week. Working pattern to be agreed with the line manager but will include late afternoons and early evenings to facilitate meeting with young people outside of school hours and attending workshops. Occasional weekends.

Pension: Church Army is an auto enrolment pension employer. You will be assessed under pension auto enrolment criteria.

Annual Leave: 132 hours, inclusive of bank holidays (264 hours FTE).

Contract:  Part-time, Fixed Term - expected for 12 months.

As Human Resources Advisor you'll be joining a small, friendly and supportive HR team providing advice and support to managers and staff across the full range of employee life-cycle activities. This is an additional role providing HR advice and support, primarily for our Key Project at Marylebone. Our Key Projects are at the heart of our Church Army vision and seek to bring transformation to the lives of those they work with.

Around half of our staff work within our Key Projects, so the HR Advisor will be lead for HR advice and support for these colleagues. Working collaboratively with the local Substance Misuse Service in Liverpool, we are expanding this commitment through the introduction of a Harm Reduction Peer Support Lead to support the delivery of a peer led Harm Reduction service in this area.

About the role:

As a Resettlement Worker and Domestic Abuse Specialist, you will work in person and remotely with clients who have support needs, in particular, those who are survivors of domestic abuse. In conjunction with other members of the Partnership, you will support our clients to engage with services and find accommodation solutions. You will work in a person-centered way to get the best prevention, relief and support outcomes for the client.

Main duties:

• To work with clients with support needs, to engage with their prevention, relief or advice goals by; Agreeing with them a support plan to deliver the actions identified in the Personalised Housing Plan. 
• Undertaking specific short term interventions to progress a client’s prevention or relief goals, including providing advice and support to enable individuals to improve their health and wellbeing. 
• Providing advice and signposting to support clients to access relevant housing and wider support services. 
• Working in partnership with RMG Caseworkers to deliver holistic housing and support service. 
• Providing support to clients to access private rented and supported accommodation options. 
• Referring to specialist internal and external support services as appropriate, including health, addiction and employment services.

We are looking for people to join our Bristol Complex Needs in St George as a Project Worker. The service provides accommodation and housing related support to people experiencing homelessness; dedicated to providing a safe, high quality and inclusive service to people while they are living in the hostel, and a positive move-on into independent housing. 

In the role of Project Worker, you will:

• Oversee a caseload of clients and provide ongoing 1-1 support in an approachable, caring and person-centred way.
• Provide practical and personal support to clients with complex needs around areas such as housing and health. 
• Have a good understanding of a person centred approach and how to provide the right support to clients to meet individual needs, identifying personal aims and ambitions and making plans to achieve them.  
• Work with the team, external statutory agencies and voluntary organisations to ensure everyone has access to available support.  
• Continue to develop your skills further around working with clients in a holistic way, and to gain a deeper understanding of housing and benefits law, and other specialist areas through training, supervision and line management support. 

In this role you will work on a shift rota Monday – Friday 9am-5pm. In some of these role’s staff can claim an additional 20% pay premium for hours worked between 8pm and 8am Monday to Friday, and all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday.

We are looking for enthusiastic people with experience of dealing with complex and difficult situations in relation to people and helping people throughout difficult periods and a process of change. You should also demonstrate:

• A sound understanding of the issues faced by people experiencing homelessness, and the difficulties they can experience in accessing services.
• Some experience of liaising with a number of individuals or agencies to achieve effective outcomes for others.
• Excellent communication and listening skills and the ability to work with a variety of different people.
• The ability to work in a role that supports vulnerable people and maintain high level of contact with clients on a day to day basis.

Thames Reach’s Outreach teams operate across London and helps those who are rough sleeping to find routes away from the street. The teams respond to referrals and work flexibly to reach London’s most vulnerable. Individuals are assessed to identify their support needs and support plans are created, including work to obtain identification, access health services and refer to other specialist agencies, including those with immigration issues.

We are looking for a Lead Worker  to join the Hillingdon Streat Outreach Team.

You will:

• Lead outreach shifts, providing a rapid response to referrals for people who are rough sleeping in the borough 
• Take a lead role within the team, working closely with support workers and assistant support workers to identify the quickest and most appropriate route off the street for people found rough sleeping, and devise plans to achieve this 
• Provide direct support to people who are found rough sleeping to enable them to move away from the streets and into accommodation 
• Work alongside partner agencies to ensure that clients are accessing appropriate support to access and sustain accommodation. 
• Represent the team at multi-agency meetings 
• Accurately record all work completed within given timeframes 

To succeed as the Lead Worker, you will have:

• A strong commitment to providing a high standard of service 
• Experience working with people who have rough slept or vulnerable adults and supporting them to access services 
• Excellent organisation and time management skills in order to remain strongly outcome focused, with the ability to coordinate a high number of cases and complete tasks promptly and efficiently. 
• Good communication skills and confidence in public speaking when representing Thames Reach externally 
• Experience in forming strong working relationships with partner agencies, being able to challenge them when required 
• Strong IT skills with the ability to use Outlook, online recording systems, Excel, and Word, using a tablet and a smart phone 
• A clean driving license (desirable)

About this role…

Thames Reach’s Outreach teams operate across London and helps those who are rough sleeping to find routes away from the street. The teams respond to referrals and work flexibly to reach London’s most vulnerable. Individuals are assessed to identify their support needs and support plans are created, including work to obtain identification, access health services and refer to other specialist agencies, including those with immigration issues.

We are looking for an  Assistant Support Workers  to join the Street Outreach Rough Sleepers Team

Thames Reach welcomes applications from people with transferable skills.

You will:

• Complete outreach shifts, providing a rapid response to referrals for people who are rough sleeping in the borough 
• Work alongside senior colleagues to identify the fastest and most appropriate route away from the streets for the people that we are working with 
• Provide direct support to people who are found rough sleeping to enable them to move away from the streets and into accommodation 
• Maintain and support relationships with partner agencies 
• Accurately record all work completed within given timeframes 

To succeed as the Assistant Support Worker, you will have:

• A strong commitment to providing a high standard of service 
• An understanding of homelessness which can be based on your professional work, voluntary experience or personal experience 
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• A mature and thoughtful approach to equal opportunities and diversity in service provision
• A clean driving license
