The Gray’s Inn Road supported accommodation project in Camden offers 16 short-stay places for people moving away from the streets and has quickly become a vital part of our mission to make rough sleeping in London rare, brief and not repeated. About the role
Always motivated to achieve brilliant standards of service, our Housing Partners (Housing Officers) are the first point of contact for our customers.
You'll be a visible presence in your patch, ensuring the effective management and maintenance of tenancies. Moving into a new home is an exciting life experience and your role will have a positive influence on our customer journey from the moment we onboard new tenants.
Sometimes things don't always go to plan, so you'll also support customers to manage their rent accounts (including taking cases to court as a last resort), manage anti-social behaviour utilising a multi-agency approach as required, resolve customer complaints effectively and use appropriate legal remedies to ensure tenancies are ended efficiently and in line with legal and regulatory requirements when necessary.
You'll develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners and build strong community bonds to make moments that matter every day.
Salary
The Housing Partner (Housing Officer) role offers a salary of £36,339 per annum for candidates who fully meet the role requirements.
If you're still developing in some areas, we'll support your growth with a starting salary just 5% or 10% below the spot rate, depending on experience.
You'll also receive a regional allowance of £2,908 and an essential user car allowance starting from £1,250 per year, plus mileage for travel around your patch - helping you stay mobile while making a difference in your community.
About you
You'll need experience in delivering housing management services, plus an understanding of tenancy and neighbourhood management. It would be ideal if you have a CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing - or you'd be willing to work towards it. You'll bring a proven track record in managing anti-social behaviour, as well as a strong knowledge of rent collection processes and legal frameworks around income recovery. As you'll be travelling across our Accent sites and estates, you'll need a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
The successful candidate will undergo a DBS check as part of the pre-employment checks.

Each Support Worker holds a caseload of residents and meets with them weekly to build a support plan and help them achieve their goals.
We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Worthing Foyer team. Main areas of responsibilities are:
Housing:
- Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living
- Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law
- Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team
Coaching and Engagement:
- Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives
- Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community
- Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries
- Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance)
General:
- Work as part of a team, on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day/evening, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
- Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations
- Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice

JOB PURPOSE
The Group Manager will have strategic management responsibility for all services delivered within the Housing Service. The Group Manager's role is to ensure that the operation of the housing service is managed professionally and that the Head of Partnerships and Housing is competently supported in the provision of housing related services to residents in Bridgend County Borough Council.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
· Oversee and manage the Housing and Homelessness Service for the Council and provide advice to the Head of Partnerships and Housing on all Housing related matters.
· Oversee the planning and delivery of the overarching commissioning and planning objectives for Housing and the Housing Support Grant, ensuring they contribute towards targeting those most in need in the community.
· Initiate and develop partnerships and multi-disciplinary working with other local authorities, regional and national bodies and other public/ private/third sector partners necessary to deliver the housing service.
· Manage the delivery of new affordable housing, oversee the monitoring and management of grant to maximise the investment in in Bridgend County Borough Council including but not limited to Social Housing Grant, Transitional Capital Programme, s106, Recycled Capital Grant etc.
· Proactively develop relationships with all departments across the Authority, providing strategic input regarding the delivery of housing related services as part of a wider review of developments across the Authority.
· Oversee and promote the delivery of the Leasing Scheme Wales by working with private householders or landlords to bring properties back into use to support the social housing market.
· Oversee the development of temporary accommodation options in the area including the use of HMO accommodation and modular housing
· Oversee the Disabled Facility Grant service.
· Lead on all aspects of housing and homelessness services working by with Elected Members, corporate managers and service teams to achieve excellence.
· Initiate and develop partnerships and multi-disciplinary working with other local authorities, regional and national bodies and other public/ private/third sector partners as necessary to deliver the housing and community regeneration service.
· Keep up-to-date with best practice in Housing and Homelessness services with the aim of delivering a modern, innovative service ensuring all aspects of the service meet Bridgend County Borough Council’s ambition to provide the best local services in Wales.
· Lead on the creation of all Housing related policies across the Council and to advise the Head of Partnerships and Housing accordingly.
· Implement and manage service level agreements, contracts and negotiations with external suppliers and partners to ensure they meet the appropriate needs of Bridgend County Borough Council.

About you

We are recruiting for a brand-new role to join our Asset Management Team which works closely with colleagues across housing, compliance, and property management to deliver excellent housing services.
As our new Compliance Housing Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality housing services and ensuring property compliance across our sites. You will ensure all statutory and regulatory obligations are met, particularly in relation to health and safety, property standards, and landlord responsibilities. You’ll also oversee responsive mechanical and electrical services, ensuring safe and reliable housing for our residents. For an initial six months, the role will take the lead on coordinating the onboarding of new properties in and around Hove whilst also providing essential support across our property portfolio.
In delivering the role, you will be responsible for:
- Managing onboarding and tenancy processes, including home visits, occupancy checks, and emergency protocols.
- Coordinating repairs and compliance checks, ensuring timely completion
- Monitoring housing regulations and safety standards (e.g. gas, fire, legionella, asbestos).
- Conducting inspections and audits, maintaining regulatory registers, and supporting contractor management.

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

As Housing Rights Worker, you will deliver high quality housing advice and advocacy in line with the hub’s local community priorities. We are looking for a Housing Mobile Night Worker to provide floating support to our teams in high support 24-hour projects as well as medium support and transitional housing units to ensure that our properties are safe, secure, and welcoming through the night.
Your shift will commence at Eastbourne Foyer and will support the static night worker there during the night as well as undertaking your mobile duties across Eastbourne, Hailsham, Bexhill and Hastings.
Working on site you will be responsible for ensuring the service is safe by keeping clear records of night time activity within the building. You will regularly complete building checks and monitor CCTV upkeeping health and safety regulations in accordance with YMCA DLG's policies and procedures. You will work to prevent any anti-social behaviour from impacting our neighbours and other residents. You will work alongside other support staff to maximise the wellbeing of residents by completing one to one interventions with young people who may be experiencing mental health crisis and/or who may need medical assistance.
You will also be lone working as part of the role, so you will need to be comfortable with decision making and following procedures.

This is a dynamic and varied role; you will be passionate about being involved in the support and growth of young people.
Ideally you will have experience working with young people, those considered vulnerable or with multiple and complex needs along with being able to demonstrate a real passion for wanting to work with young people. You will have an understanding of the needs of single homeless clients aged 16-25 and the ability to engage, motivate and inspire, with a strong commitment to changing the life of others for the better. You will already have clear verbal and written communication skills, good IT and keyboard skills and the ability to self-motivate. You will be an effective communicator who is able to deliver robust, clear handovers and build strong relationships with other members of your team. In addition, you will have the ability to de-escalate volatile situations and manage challenging behaviour appropriately.
