About the Role
- You will manage and lead a 24-hour 16-18 bed new therapeutic support & accommodation service for women from across South London who have experienced homelessness and severe and multiple disadvantage.
- You will lead and develop a team that is focused on building trust through relationships, so that every woman who is supported gets the person-led, trauma and gender-informed support they need in a place they can call home.
- You are a dynamic, inspirational and capable leader, who proactively supports and enables the team to utilise their strengths and work collaboratively to meet the different needs and aspirations of the women we support.

In 2024 and 2025, the Church of England is testing and piloting a range of approaches to help churches fundraise for projects. Our feasibility study identified that statutory sources of funding, currently under-accessed will be a new area of opportunity for churches, schools and housing to access.

As Net Zero Carbon Statutory Fundraising Coordinator, you will work in The Giving Directorate and operate across the whole Church with a focus on supporting parishes and dioceses to access statutory funds. Main responsibilities
- Develop a national plan to secure statutory funding at parish and diocesan level
- Acting as a central point of coordination between the schools, housing and parish fundraising workstreams to oversee statutory funding
- Working specifically with the Regional Fundraising Officer in the north west cluster of dioceses to identify and support applications to statutory funding sources by parishes
- Working with Net Zero Implementation Manager to support statutory funding applications for clergy housing
- Building capacity in dioceses to support senior staff (incl. Bishops) to use their networks to identify relevant statutory funding opportunities (e.g. mayors, local council leadership, police and crime commissioners etc)
- Supporting dioceses to think creatively about packaging projects up a) between parishes, b) between parishes, schools and clergy housing, c) across deaneries.

- Building a hub of best practice and shared learning which will include designing and delivering training to staff and volunteers at all levels

The ideal candidate:
To be successful, you will need experience of securing statutory funding for projects and of other aspects of fundraising. You will need to be a very strong self-motivator and initiator as the job requires an ability to work across a wide geographical area on a diverse range of projects. Experience managing projects would also be useful. You will be an excellent trainer and communicator.

As a Supporter Development Manager, you’ll have a crucial role in engaging and developing our existing supporter-base through a range of activity. As well as being a confident project manager, you’ll need to be a strong communicator to engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure our campaigns hit deadlines and deliver targets.
Understanding your budgets and campaign performance is also a vital part of this role as you’ll play an important part in budget development and management. Our programme is always focussed on further developing and growing our supporter engagement and financial support, so this role requires strong knowledge of audience segmentation, planning in a supporter-centric way and campaign KPIs. It’s also important to understand how we’re compliant and working within all regulations and as well as best practise processes.

Specialism: This role will primarily lead in our engagement and ongoing development of our regular giving programme. (This includes products like Poppy Supporter as well as other forms of regular donations.)
You will be contracted to our London Hub, Haig House. Under our Future Working framework, there will be some flexibility for working remotely/at home, using our collaboration tools to work with but with a minimum expectation of two days/week connecting directly face-to-face with colleagues at the hub.

As an Area Manager you will give leadership, direction and guidance to the staff of Medaille Trust to ensure the provision and development of a high quality service in line with the Trust’s Mission, Values and Strategy.
You will have a good understanding of the CQC framework relating to Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking. You will carry out quarterly assurance audits in all safe houses ensuring any appropriate action is taken where necessary.
You will line manage, induct, mentor, coach and support Service Managers. Additionally, you will ensure that any complaints, grievances and disciplinaries are investigated and responded to in an effective and timely manner in line with Medaille Policies.
Although the post is home based, the post holder will be expected to travel frequently to our safe houses within the South and London areas with some overnight stays.
You must have previous experience in a relevant sector or experience of working with adults that are vulnerable. Experience of managing staff, carrying out line management, supervision and appraisals is essential. Additionally, you must have experience of setting up Service User Engagement groups.

Job Title: Temporary Lead Manager - Floating Support Services
Assignment Duration: 2-3 months
Location: Southwark based office with occasional onsite visits

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Temporary Lead Manager to oversee our client's Floating support services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of dedicated staff members and ensuring the effective service delivery of support to approximately 270 service users, primarily individuals transitioning from temporary accommodation to private rented housing.
To Apply for this role, you must have an enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months or one that is on the update service.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of 13 staff members, including Senior Practitioners, Lead Workers, and Support Workers, to achieve the highest standards in service delivery.
- Co-ordinate all activities within the project/team effectively, maintaining organisational standards and meeting targets.
- Develop and implement work plans, operational policies, and procedures to support the mission and objectives of our organisation.
- Manage resources effectively, including financial procedures and controls.
- Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to optimise service delivery and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Provide coaching, professional development, and line management support to employees, including performance management and supervision.
- Deliver timely and accurate reports and analysis to senior management and funders.
- Represent our organisation at external meetings and maintain positive relationships with commissioners and stakeholders.
- Adapt to changing circumstances and undertake alternative work as necessary to fulfil obligations to service users.
Requirements:
- Experience managing support services for vulnerable populations, including working with challenging behaviour and achieving agreed outcomes.
- Substantial experience in managing and motivating staff during periods of change, ensuring strategic relevance and effective service delivery.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish positive working relationships with service users, colleagues, and external partners.
- Ability to work independently with initiative while being accountable to line management.
- Excellent written, numerical, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
