· Create a safe and accepting psychologically informed environment for vulnerable residents, whilst following safeguarding measures.

This busy team processes Housing Benefit payments from 55 local authorities in the UK for up to 4000 St Mungo’s residents; and collect over £45 million in rent and service charge plays a key role in the organisation to support clients to rebuild their lives. In this role you will:
- Provide administrative support to the Rent Service Team to facilitate early intervention of rent arrears overall.
- Be responsible for a caseload of up to 750 residents; working proactively to support clients in prevention of rent arrears within your designated caseload.
- Use your sound influencing skills in the recovery of former tenant rent arrears.

In this role you will be required to work for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. and innovative care and support business known for its life-changing services is looking for a dedicated and target driven Income and Housing Officer who can maximise the organisation's rental income collection, effectively manage rent arrears and deal with other breaches of the occupancy agreement.
Managing a patch of 400+ units across our services you will ensure that challenging rent collection targets are met but also that everything is done to avoid eviction. Your personal qualities are as important in this role as your work experience.
Working alongside Operational Colleagues, the Income and Housing Officer will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of generic Housing Management services across their patch with the main focus on Income Collection and some ASB management. You will be expected to meet tight KPI's increasing rent collection and carry out rent arrears actions at all stages from the initial warning letters to the eviction stage.
In order to effectively deliver the services listed above to their patch, the Income and Housing Officer will need to work closely with Contract Managers and Support Workers working within our projects to empower and enable them to carry out their responsibilities. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills are a pre-requisite to the role. The post holder will be extremely flexible and have the ability to effectively manage multiple projects at one time.
Fixed term contract of 6-9 months
Needs to be able to travel, some homeworking but priority is out on site visiting customers in their homes and having a presence in the community.

What you'll do:
Take responsibility for maximising rent collection across a defined patch of Look Ahead's portfolio of properties ensuring that rent collection targets are met and tenancies sustained
Advise operational teams on their support related arrears management activities, including holding local surgeries with tenants and staff, taking direct control of higher level and more complex arrears cases
Proactively monitor all current and former accounts within the defined patch and make recommendations to the Housing Manager for appropriate former accounts to be written off or referred to Look Ahead's debt collection agency
Ensure that the rent collection function is carried out both sensitively and in a timely fashion so as to avoid the build up of excessive arrears and record all case details accurately.
Ensure that all sign ups within the defined patch are done accurately on the correct type of tenancy and at the correct rent and service charge levels.
Prepare files and documents for legal action and present cases in County Court hearings for possession claims, money judgements

As a Housing First Coach you will deliver high quality person-centred support, using psychologically and trauma informed approaches, in line with Housing First principles. You will establish open and trusting relationships with people who have had long histories of homelessness or in temporary/insecure accommodation, enabling them to access and sustain accommodation and enable them to exercise choice and control over their lives. The team is multi-disciplinary in our approach – coaches, peer support worker, clinical psychologist – which allows us to formulate innovative approaches. About you
To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter, flexible and have experience of working collaboratively as part of a team and with internal and external partners. In the role of Asset Investment Manager, you will support the improvement of data management systems and processes, provide accurate data and analysis reports, and prepare budgets ensuring statutory and regulatory requirements are met. This role also offers the opportunity to play a key role in developing and implementing parts of our Asset Management Strategy, overseeing development and ongoing maintenance of:
- Planned maintenance programmes, including reporting on performance management.
- Stock condition surveys which inform our approach to asset management and evidence compliance.
- Programmes of work to deliver St Mungo’s Environmental Sustainability Strategy.
In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations.
About you
We are looking for someone with experience of carrying out property appraisals and preparing and managing projects and programmes, within time and budget.
- You will demonstrate good commercial and financial awareness and knowledge of working with asset/housing management databases.
- You will have experience of working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, with proven influencing and negotiating skills.

We are looking to recruit a part time Older People’s Money Management and Support Coordinator (21 hours/week) to be responsible for providing essential financial guidance, support and advocacy to Customers living in Gateway’s Older Peoples Schemes. Your primary focus will be to help older residents manage their finances, access appropriate benefits, and develop financial literacy skills. We can offer a hybrid working arrangement for this part -time position - you will be able to split your time between working from our office in Mile End and working alongside our residents in our Sheltered schemes in Tower Hamlets.
Your accountabilities will include but not be limited to:
· Working closely with Income/Housing Teams in reviewing pre-eviction cases ensuring appropriate support has been offered prior to action.
· Providing a customer focused service where we help to empower residents to sustain their tenancies, delivering both welfare benefits advice and money guidance support.
· Financial Guidance: Provide expert advice and guidance to older residents on financial matters, including budgeting, debt management, banking, and money-saving strategies.
· Benefits and Entitlements: Assist residents in understanding and accessing relevant benefits, allowances, and grants, providing support with applications, appeals, and assessments.
· Financial and Support Assessments: Conduct comprehensive financial assessments with older individuals to determine their income, expenditure, and financial needs, identifying areas for improvement or intervention.
· Budget Planning: Help residents develop realistic budgets and financial plans, considering their income, expenses, and financial goals, and offering ongoing support to ensure their successful implementation.
· Financial Literacy: Organise workshops, training sessions, or one-on-one coaching to enhance residents' financial literacy skills, empowering them to make informed financial decisions.
· Record-Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and confidential records of financial assessments, support provided, and outcomes achieved, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, and producing reports as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
· Extensive knowledge of a wide range of benefits (including welfare reform)
· Experience of working in advisory role with the public
· Experience of handling case work and referring to relevant organisations
· Knowledge of completing applications for benefits, grants, appeals and funding.
· Understanding the principals of budgeting for low-income families
· Good understanding of equality and diversity.
· Operate flexible working hours to make sure all customers have access to this service.
· Sound knowledge of financial management principles, budgeting techniques, debt management strategies, and benefits systems in the United Kingdom.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an opportunity for a dedicated person centred Deputy Manager to join the team in Brent. You will be responsible for working alongside the Service Manager (SM) to deliver high quality, trauma-informed services to residents and participants, with a focus on recovery reablement, rehabilitation, and ensuring a psychologically informed environment (PIE). You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service quality, performance, and improvement across their service(s) through excellent leadership and embodiment of Social Interest Group’s values.

ABOUT THE SERVICE
Synergy, Brent is a Housing Related Support (HRS) Service for a range of vulnerable people who have been or are at risk of homelessness. The age eligibility criteria for the service is adults between the ages of 18 to 60, who are identified to have low/medium support needs. Some of the needs we support are:
- Single homeless between ages of 18 to 60
- Socially excluded individuals
- Ex-Offenders
- People with substance misuse
- Mental Health (Low)
- Learning disability (Low/Medium)
- Women who have come from domestic abuse environments and situations who may need low level support as part of their resettlement following a move on from a refuge or other safe domestic abuse supported accommodation.

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
LINE MANAGEMENT/LEADERSHIP
- Provide leadership to employees throughout the employee life cycle. This includes but is not limited to; Recruitment, onboarding, inductions, probation reviews, support and supervision, employee relations, performance, learning and development, staff wellbeing and support, grievances, sickness, disciplinaries, retention and other areas which fall within the employee lifecycle.
- Hold regular, high quality one to ones and team meetings, support effective teamwork and communication. Support with ensuring a culture where constructive challenge is welcomed, and conflict is managed supportively in line with relevant policies and procedures.
- Build and manage effective relationships across the organisation and ensure consistent communication, whilst upholding SIG’s values, policies, and procedures. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to drive ongoing improvement to the service in line with best practice.
SERVICE DELIVERY
- Support the Service Manager with the day-to-day operational delivery of the service and work directly with colleagues, residents, participants, and other stakeholders to provide a high-quality, holistic service which meets the presenting needs of all relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure service responsibilities and requirements are carried out effectively. This includes but is not limited to; welfare checks, risk assessments, support sessions, safeguarding checks, training and development, and other responsibilities required for effective service delivery.
- Support the Service Manager to ensure the service and team meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators, and work in line with professional codes of conduct.
- In conjunction with the Service Manager, facilitate a program of continuous improvement in an environment where residents and participants are cared for, supported, and have access to resources they need to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.
- Empower residents and participants to make decisions to take control over their lives, by creating an enabling environment.
RISK MANAGEMENT, INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AND CASE RECORDING
- Follow the relevant risk assessment and management procedures, share any relevant information with partner agencies as appropriate.
- Ensure all case recording, and information is accurately recorded in a timely manner, ensuring electronic records are protected in line with GDPR, and kept up to date and written to a high standard.
- Alongside the Service Manager, champion, and act as a point of reference for safeguarding concerns within the service(s). Ensure all staff attend relevant safeguarding and training and use knowledge to coach and advise the team.
PROPERTY AND HOUSING MANAGEMENT
- Create and manage a welcoming, psychologically informed home environment for residents and participants, ensuring a continuous focus on safety, health, and wellbeing.
- Ensure the accommodation in which residents live is maintained to a high standard, in line with SIG’s property standards and meets all legal and statutory health and fire safety requirements to operate safely, effectively, and efficiently.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance issues are correctly reported and managed through to completion.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
- Provide support in setting the service’s budget and reviewing monthly management accounts; manage set budgets effectively and ensure resources are maximized.
- Maintain financial management within the service, including but not limited to, invoice management, arrears management, management of petty cash, and expense claims.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contract Management and Internal Auditing; Ensure due diligence is carried out and records are well maintained.
- Administration duties will vary, including operating online systems and ensuring correct processes are followed alongside GDPR and confidentiality.
- Other duties may include but are not limited to, maintaining clean and tidy environments, removing rubbish, ordering supplies, arranging in house events and activities and other general on-site duties.
Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position.
KEY CRITERIA
What we are looking for:
- Understanding and/or experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours
- Experience of working with and engaging with diverse groups of people from varying backgrounds
- IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software
- Understanding and/or practical knowledge of the social and societal marginalisation that can be attached to people with mental health issues, addiction, exploitation, homelessness and within the criminal justice system
- Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders
- Ability to follow organisational policies and process in line with external governance
What we would like, but not essential:
- Previous experience in people management and development
- Understanding, knowledge, and/or practical application of key legislation – Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, Mental Health, Criminal Justice, Social Care, and Housing, and Health, Safety and Environment
- Understanding of Housing Management, including voids and evictions

In the role of Regional Surveyor, you will play a role in helping us continue to deliver on our ambitions, through leading on responsive and planned maintenance service delivery for with supported housing and self-contained accommodation in a designated region. Additional key responsibilities will include:
- Responsibilty for inspections of responsive and complex repairs, damp and mould.
- Supporting the delivery of capital and revenue reinvestment programmes and major projects, including cyclical maintenance programmes, refurbishment of acquired assets, onboarding new buildings, and managing termination dilapidations.
- Build strong relationships with our internal and external clients to deliver a high quality, customer focused service and with our supply chain partners to deliver on time and to budget whilst achieving quality work and value for money.
In this role you will travel to various site locations within our West London Region or our Southwest Regional (Bristol/Oxford/Milton Keynes) on a regular basis. Your office base will be either in LB Kensington & Chelsea (West London Region) or Hounslow (Southwest Region). Occasional travel to our Head Office, near St Katherine’s Dock will also be required. About you
We are looking for a skilled Surveyor with proven experience in management and delivery of responsive repairs, major works projects, and planned reinvestment programmes or cyclical maintenance programmes.
- You may hold an HNC/HND level qualification or higher in Building Surveying (or equivalent qualification) or be able to demonstrate equivalent work experience.
- You will demonstrate the ability to deliver robust contract management that delivers on time and to budget, and your experience of large scale budget management and valuations.
- You may have some experience working in the social housing sector, which is beneficial but not essential.
- A full UK or equivalent driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
