Job description

We are offering a fantastic opportunity to an innovative, visionary person with excellent leadership skills and a proven track record.

Our Vison:

RSPCA Bury, Oldham and District Branch rehabilitates and rehome cats and dogs at our Oldham animal centre. In addition, we offer advice to the public plus microchipping, neutering and subsidised treatments to local animals.

As well as maintaining our existing operations, the branch has ambitious plans to grow and develop, including the provision of additional services from our animal centre and the development of more community outreach and education projects.

We are a separately registered charity responsible for raising our own income, a challenge made harder by the common misconception that branches are funded by the National Society.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an exceptional person to manage and develop our branch which includes an animal  centre, mobile clinic and 12 charity shops which generate a turnover of c£1 million per annum.  You will be supported in running the branch by a Retail Operations Manager, Animal Centre Manager, Office Manager and  around 42 additional paid employees and 160 volunteers.

You’ll be a committed, creative and organised leader, a skilled communicator able to work on your own initiative and prioritise effectively. You will have business acumen and be able to inspire your teams of paid staff and volunteers to provide exceptional animal welfare services, customer service and increase and maximise income streams. This is a demanding and hugely rewarding role and if you are looking for a challenge and a chance to genuinely help support animals in need this could be the role for you.

What we are Offering

  • An attractive salary
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Car allowance
  • Flexible working hours
  • Discretionary, performance related, non-consolidated bonus
