About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference by playing a vital role in our work across the Hampshire. Reporting into the local team and supported by the national fundraising team, this role will be responsible for engaging volunteers both as individuals and groups across the area to raise funds for MHA. You will work closely with all MHA services, building relationships and inspiring and empowering local fundraising to enable those who choose to use our services to thrive. This will include supporting those who wish to fundraise In Memory and utilising MHA’s fundraising products.
A portion of your time will also be spent working in collaboration with community fundraisers across the country on fundraising initiatives and guides which will benefit both your area and community fundraising nationally.
The role will provide an effective and efficient service supporting the organisation and our homes and schemes to meet our vision, values and strategic objectives.

About You
Are you a passionate and skilled community fundraiser keen to play a key role in building a local network of community fundraising volunteers? Do you have a passion for working with supporters, building meaningful relationships and inspiring supporters whilst ensuring your work aligns with the results we need? If so, we would love to hear from you.
Working well as a team player you will work closely with both operational colleagues in your area and the wider Fundraising Team, ensuring a focus on getting the right result for the organisation and building lasting and substantial relationships with funders. You will be an effective communicator developing trusting relationships, taking everyone with you on the journey.

About the Role
We are now recruiting for an experienced Policy and Public Affairs Specialist to lead on planning and delivering Hibiscus’ work on racial and intersectional inequalities in the Criminal Justice and Immigration systems.
Development, research and report writing will be a key aspect of this role; the successful candidate will be responsible for drafting policy recommendations, reports, and consultation responses on issues related to Black and minoritised migrant women in contact with the Criminal Justice and Immigration systems. Supporting the Head of Policy and Public Affairs, they will engage and develop relationships with key political and parliamentary stakeholders, developing and delivering a variety of public affairs initiatives to inform decision-makers and influence policy in Criminal Justice, Immigration and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sectors. The post holder will prepare press releases and statements to address prison and immigration reforms, identifying the gaps of adequate support for women, and will analyse external and internal quantitative and qualitative data relevant to our work.
As part of the role, the Policy and Public Affairs Specialist will be responsible for raising awareness and creating content on the treatment of Black and minoritised migrant women within the Criminal Justice System. The post holder will identify opportunities for influence, monitor trends and developments, and prepare communications, reports and policy briefings to help ensure our work has an impact.
The post holder will also be responsible for leading Hibiscus’ partnership work on the Women’s Justice Reimagined project, advocating for the reimagination of the Criminal Justic System. They will build on Hibiscus’ policy work to raise our profile within advisory and working groups, creating alliances with other organisations in the sector and collaborating with other specialist and third-sector organisations to campaign for policy change and increase policy and decision-makers awareness of the issues Hibiscus works on.

About You
The successful candidate will have experience working in the UK political context to influence change, with demonstrable experience in developing and implementing public affairs strategies and building relationships with policy makers to inform decision making in government and across the Criminal Justice and Immigration sectors.
The candidate will have knowledge and experience in collecting quantitative and qualitative research methods to produce evidence-based reports, press statements, and legislative policy briefings. They will have in-depth knowledge of UK legislation and government institutions related to Criminal Justice, VAWG and Immigration sectors and an ability to analyse government and public policy reports to provide accurate and accessible briefings.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong self-awareness and ability to prioritise workloads whilst working collaboratively with colleagues.

We are looking for a qualified solicitor or barrister with valid practising certificate, or already accredited to Level 3 OISC, with two years’ experience in providing advice and representation in asylum including working in legal aid.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the legal advice service. Under the guidance of our Legal Service Manager, you will also build capacity amongst legal representatives by designing and delivering training, giving second tier advice and developing and coordinating a network of practitioners working in this area. You will use the knowledge you gain in this role to help deliver Rainbow Migration’s policy work, such as inputting into policy papers and meeting with partner organisations when required.

Title: Male Residential Support Worker (this is a live-in role)

Responsible for: Young people living in the accommodation (4 young people aged 16 – 18 years old seeking asylum in the UK).
Location: This is a live-in, residential role based in a supported accommodation home in Loughborough. Some work will be based in our office buildings.

Overall Purpose
To provide advice, assistance and support to young people in the home, as a key member of the Support Team, delivering Baca’s service in line with our Vision and Values. The role includes a consistent adult presence in the home. To attend to their practical and emotional needs whilst supporting the development of living skills. To teach them how to manage and look after a home in order to keep it safe and hygienic. To build trusting relationships within the home to enable young people to feel safe and cared for. To act as an excellent role model and to work closely with them and their Support Worker to enable them to make good progress towards independence.

- Welcome newly arrived young people into the accommodation, helping them feel safe and able to rest; with compassion without discrimination of age, race, colour or behavioural issues.

This is a new and exciting role, which offers the opportunity to work with a wide variety of stakeholders to develop and implement Justice Together’s influencing strategy. The post holder will also be responsible for managing a small number of influencing grants and working with the Grant Manager to ensure that the process for grant renewals runs smoothly. They will have line management responsibility for the Grant Manager and Grant Partner Community Manager.
They will form part of a small and collaborative team together with the Director of Justice Together, Grants Manager and Grants Officers, one of whom works solely on the initiative and another who is seconded part-time from The Legal Education Foundation. They will report to the Director of Justice Together, and work closely with support staff within The Legal Education Foundation.
The successful candidate will have a passion for the values of equity and justice, and will be able to demonstrate a personal style that fosters collaboration and trust. They will have experience of developing and implementing effective influencing strategies, developing and managing relationships with stakeholders and managing people and projects. They do not need previous experience of working for a funder in a grant making role.
We particularly encourage people with lived experience of the UK immigration system to apply. However, there is no expectation for candidates to disclose details of personal experiences at any stage during this recruitment or during their work at the Justice Together Initiative.
*The post-holder would need to be based in the London office for 1 day per week (day to be agreed in line with other staff) but could choose to work from home or from our London office for the rest of the week.

As Charity Director, you’ll be working in a multi-cultural environment supporting vulnerable people with limited English across Kingston, Hounslow and Richmond. Our client group includes refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants, and our volunteer-led services support them to learn English and gain access to vital local services, including housing, education, healthcare.We provide a ‘blended’ service for our clients which includes in-person and on-line support as well as class-based teaching, all of which is dedicated to helping those with the lowest language skills to progress into volunteering, education and work.
LEAH has experienced a period of growth, having doubled its staff team across the last 5 years to meet demand for our services. We have no shortage of clients, a strong and enthusiastic volunteer base and a dedicated and experienced staff team.
LEAH is at an exciting time, and we are aiming to expand our service impact and reach across London. The new Director will lead the development of the new 2025-28 strategic plan which will be the key to our future development and success.
