The Senior Evidence & Evaluation Manager will sit within the Impact & Evidence directorate at the heart of Youth Futures Foundation.
Working with three Heads of Evaluation, the Deputy Director and the Director, you will help ensure our evaluations are designed to generate credible evidence of what works.
You will:
-
lead the design, commissioning and management of impact evaluations, including RCTs and QEDs. This will include feasibility or developmental work where interventions are not yet ready for full impact evaluation.
-
work closely with independent evaluators and delivery partners and colleagues in our Programmes & Grants and Policy & Communications directorates to assess the evaluability of interventions, and lead the design and delivery of large-scale, complex impact evaluations.
-
contribute to strengthening our ‘evaluation architecture’, leading projects that enhance data infrastructure and access to administrative datasets, and set standards for methodological rigour in the sector.
In addition, you will lead other aspects of the team’s commissioning. This may include developing policies and processes, supporting the Heads of Evaluation to strengthen commissioning practice.
This role can be based at our Birmingham, Leeds or London hub. We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.

About Chapter One
Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. We work in thirteen areas/regions of the UK and will support over 4,000 children in 2026-27.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs struggling five to seven-year old (Y1-3) readers with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.
From a school perspective, online reading volunteers provide direct, meaningful literacy support for up to 10 pupils per class. The programme is particularly suitable for communities where it might be challenging to find parents and other volunteers who can commit to physically visiting schools to boost reading. About the Role
Chapter One is seeking a London Programme Manager who is an excellent communicator and is able both to motivate and support schools and teachers to implement our online reading volunteers programme, and also to ensure that the programme’s impact and benefit to disadvantaged communities is maximised throughout the academic year.
The post is ideal for someone looking for full-time, flexible, term-time only work from a home base and who is able to travel frequently in and around North London. The postholder will be joining a team of established Programme Managers who work in different parts of the UK and will need to have some flexibility to work some additional hours during busy autumn weeks, and conversely to work fewer hours during quieter periods of the year.

Key Responsibilities:

Effectively explain Chapter One’s online reading volunteer programme and its benefits to school leaders and teachers.

Install, setup and maintain Chapter One equipment in participating classrooms.

Organise and conduct initial teacher training and follow-up.

Ensure a smooth initial launch of Chapter One’s programme in every classroom.

Fully understand the operation of the Chapter One platform and database and effectively communicate this to others as needed.

Liaise with colleagues performing technical and volunteer support roles.

Through regular visits to/contact with schools, provide on-going embedded professional learning and support to teachers throughout the year as needed.

Proactively monitor classroom adherence/fidelity to the Chapter One model, including systematic review of data reports and volunteer feedback, taking proactive action to resolve problems that arise.

Analyse and manipulate data (largely in Google sheets) to produce reports and identify trends.

Create regular data summaries for all participating classrooms.

Lead annual review meetings for senior leadership at participating schools.

The Campaign Manager will lead RLSS UK’s flagship national campaigns, ensuring they are insight-driven, behaviour-changing, and capable of empowering communities to stay safe around water.
Working collaboratively across the organisation and with external partners, you will create compelling, impactful campaigns that raise awareness, shift behaviours, elevate water safety standards, and bring our mission to life for millions of people.
This role is central to how RLSS UK educates, influences, and protects communities across the UK and Ireland.
ROLE OVERVIEW
From honing our campaign strategy to sparking collaborations with external organisations and delivering creative and engaging content, you’ll be a key player in shaping how RLSS UK and our work are seen by the public and partners.
You will lead the development and delivery of impactful, insight-driven campaigns that increase public awareness of both RLSS UK and the importance of water safety, share the skills and knowledge needed to prevent drowning, and engage and educate diverse audiences to amplify RLSS UK’s mission. Working closely with colleagues across marketing and communications, policy and public affairs, education, and membership, you will create compelling campaigns that inspire action, strengthen our brand presence, and educate.
You will collaborate with partners, members, stakeholders, supporters, and media outlets to ensure RLSS UK remains a trusted national voice in water safety. Through strategic storytelling, public mobilisation, and cross-channel campaign delivery, your work will help influence behaviours, shape understanding, and ultimately reduce accidental drownings.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Campaign Leadership
- Lead, develop, and deliver RLSS UK’s major national public campaigns, including:
- Drowning Prevention Week
- Don’t Drink and Drown
- Splash Safely at Home
- Project manage the end-to-end‑ delivery of multichannel campaigns (digital, print, PR, in-person events,‑ and partner channels).
- Ensure all campaigns are insight-led, supported by relevant data and evidence, designed to be inclusive and accessible, and effectively reach audiences at higher risk of drowning.
- Support public-facing communications for policy and public affairs, including web, email, and social channels.
- Contribute to organisation-wide planning, ensuring campaigns support fundraising, education, and membership goals where appropriate.
- Develop end‑to‑end campaign journeys for supporters, partners, and stakeholders who engage with or pledge support, to deepen involvement, encourage advocacy, and maximise long‑term impact.
- Work proactively across internal directorates to co‑create and deliver campaigns that maximise reach, effectiveness, and impact.
- Conduct audience and stakeholder mapping for each campaign to identify priority groups, collaboration opportunities, and the most effective channels, partners, and messengers to maximise reach and impact.

Creative Development & Content
- Produce engaging, accessible, and inclusive content that resonates with diverse audiences and consistently adheres to RLSS UK brand guidelines.
- Lead creative development, case study sourcing, storytelling, celebrity/influencer engagement, and campaign assets.
- Drive user‑generated content as a core engagement strategy, encouraging partners, members, and the RLSS UK community to share stories, visuals, and experiences that support campaign objectives.
Partnerships & Collaboration
- Build strong partnerships with communities and organisations, including emergency services, sports bodies, youth groups, and local authorities, to amplify campaign reach and impact.
- Support the participation of people with lived experience in campaigns, including bereaved families, with care and tact, ensuring authentic and meaningful involvement.
- Proactively identify and develop new partnerships, influencer and celebrity relationships to expand the reach, engagement and impact of each major campaign.
Delivery & Campaign Operations
- Oversee campaign production schedules, asset development, and delivery across all channels.
- Maintain campaign budgets and align spending with goals.
- Develop and maintain campaign‑specific brand guidance to support consistent use of RLSS UK messaging, tone of voice, and visual identity across all channels and audiences.
- Create and manage campaign packs for partners that set clear requirements for the correct use of the RLSS UK name, assets, messaging, and attribution, ensuring consistent representation across all partner activity.
- Ensure all campaign activity is consistent with RLSS UK brand guidelines, inclusive and accessible, on-brand, compliant, and aligned with RLSS UK’s strategic priorities.
- Ensure all campaign materials are reviewed and approved in line with RLSS UK brand governance processes prior to public launch.
Evaluation & Reporting
- Set clear campaign KPIs and monitor performance using robust, insight-driven metrics.
- Provide regular reporting on campaign reach, engagement, outcomes, and contribution to reducing drowning risk.
- Complete post‑campaign evaluations within agreed timeframes, identifying clear, actionable recommendations to inform continuous improvement across future campaigns.
- Use campaign evaluations, performance data, and insight to drive measurable year‑on‑year improvement in campaign outcomes, applying learning consistently to improve reach, engagement, and impact.

About the role
Are you an experienced and knowledgeable programme manager with a passion for supporting charities and under-represented communities to advocate for change?
Media Trust is looking for an experienced programme manager to lead on the delivery of two new communications capacity-building programmes - one focusing on charities tackling health inequalities and another focusing on people affected by the No Recourse to Public Fund (NRPF) immigration rule. Both programmes are aimed at enabling participants to safely and effectively engage with the media and advocate for change. You will be working directly with charities, communities and individual participants on both these programmes. You will also work with external trainers and media industry volunteers to deliver the training and related support.
Each programme will involve recruiting a cohort of storytellers, working with a series of external trainers to deliver workshops around understanding and engaging with the media and facilitating peer support workshops. You may also be required to lead small roundtables or convene meetings with sector partners as required.
Media Trust will be partnering with charities working on health inequalities and supporting migrants to deliver this work, including recruiting storytellers from across our networks and partner organisations as programme participants.
You will be responsible for designing and agreeing the delivery calendar with our funders and other key partners.You will also manage the recruitment for, and delivery of, these programmes. The outline training content has already been agreed - this role will involve working with trainers to ensure content is relevant to the needs of the cohorts and the objectives of each programme. You will also design and facilitate a series of monthly peer support sessions to support participants’ learning on the programmes. You will also manage impact evaluation for the programmes including designing and collecting responses to pre- and post-programme surveys from participants and sharing insights and learning from the programmes to help Media Trust design new work in these areas.
You will also support with other programmes and activity across Media Trust’s Charity Services team as required.

Artswork is looking for a Data Protection & Impact Manager to lead Artswork’s approach to data so we operate safely and legally, and so that data informs every area of our work, shapes our planning, and enables us to demonstrate the impact of our programmes. This role works closely with the Evaluation & Impact Manager, and focuses specifically on data protection, data analysis and data reporting e.g. to funders.
We are looking for someone to lead on data analysis and data protection within Artswork, embedding a data-led approach to our work. Working closely with the (part-time) Evaluation & Impact Manager, you will not only provide expertise in data generation across the organisation but also insightful analysis of the data to feed into the organisation’s strategic decision-making. You’ll be skilled in using tools that enable us to aggregate, manipulate and visualise data. You’ll be able to generate reports at different levels, from overviews to granular detail, and you’ll be willing and able to do accurate, capable data entry when needed (for example onto funders’ reporting platforms). You’ll liaise with other teams around their data requirements, particularly the Co-CEOs, Fundraising and Sales & Marketing. Main Responsibilities:
Strategy
- Embed a data-led approach across Artswork, ensuring data is used to inform organisational planning, prioritisation and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of a proportionate impact and evaluation framework (outcomes, KPIs, tools, and reporting schedule) across services and projects.
- Coordinate and produce accurate monthly and quarterly performance and outcomes reports for commissioners, funders, and internal leadership, ensuring deadlines and contract requirements are met.
- Work with project and service leads to design evaluations for new and existing initiatives, including capturing and evidencing Social Value and learning.
- Provide oversight and analysis of service data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; translate insight into practical recommendations and improvement plans.
- Act as organisational lead for information governance and data protection, promoting best practice, maintaining records, and ensuring staff understand their responsibilities.
- Serve as the organisation’s Data Protection Officer, managing data subject access requests, breach investigations, incident management, and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
- Ensure compliance with statutory, contractual, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Health & Safety, Safeguarding, GDPR), including coordinating internal audits, risk assessments, and action tracking.
- Maintain organisational compliance with recognised quality standards and assessments (e.g., Mind Quality Mark, NHS Toolkit), coordinating evidence gathering and submissions.
- Develop, implement, and review policies, procedures, and controls to meet legal and regulatory standards, and to strengthen organisational assurance.
- Own data quality and system use across the organisation, including administering and improving the Salesforce CRM (or equivalent), guidance, and user support.
- Design and deliver training and briefings on data protection, confidentiality, reporting, and compliance for staff and volunteers as required.
- Support bids, tenders, and funding applications by providing robust data, impact evidence, and compliance information.
- Build effective relationships with external stakeholders, including commissioners, funders, auditors, and legal/ICT specialists, to support reporting and assurance.
