The role

As our Advice Session Supervision, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the delivery of advice services across both office-based and community outreach settings.

You will supervise, support, and develop a team of employed advisers, volunteers, and supervisors—ensuring our services are of the highest quality and delivered in line with Citizens Advice standards. 

This includes oversight of advice sessions, project coordination, case checking, and ensuring team members are up to date with training and development.

This is a key leadership role requiring strong people management skills, sound advice knowledge, and the ability to motivate and empower others. You will demonstrate a deep commitment to the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice service, with a passion for achieving the best outcomes for our clients.

The role will involve regular travel between our central office and community venues across the City of Doncaster, so flexibility and a willingness to work in various locations is essential.

Role profile

Team Leadership & Line Management

• Supervise and support a team of advisers and volunteers in order to provide high quality accurate advice to service users and partners

• Conduct regular supervision, appraisals, and performance reviews.

• Support with recruitment, induction, and development for advisers and supervisors.

Service Delivery Oversight

• Ensure smooth delivery of generalist and specialist advice services across all channels (in-person, phone, online, outreach).

Quality & Compliance

• Oversee quality assurance and ensure advice meets Citizens Advice standards.

• Conduct case checks, Independent file reviews, and support remedial action where needed.

• Ensure supervisors, advisers and volunteers complete tasks and remedial action in a timely manner.
   

 Technical Support & Guidance

• Act as a point of escalation for complex advice queries from supervisors, advisers and volunteers

• Ensure technical knowledge is shared and updated across the team.

Training & Development

• Ensure all supervisors, advisers, and volunteers are up to date with mandatory and role-specific training.

• Monitor attendance at refresher events and promote a learning culture.

• Liaise with internal trainers to coordinate support and capacity building across teams.

• Ensure own training and professional development is kept up to date in line with role requirements.

 Service Development & Data Monitoring

• Use data, KPIs and trends to inform improvements and plan service delivery.
  Support the development and implementation of new projects and funding bids.

• Engage with partners and stakeholders to extend service reach and impact.

Research and campaigns

• Assist with research and campaigns by providing information on clients' circumstances and current issues faced 

• Provide statistical information on the number of clients and nature of cases and provide regular reports to management. 

• Monitor service provision to ensure that it reaches the widest possible client group. 

• Alert other staff to local and national issues and campaigns. 

  Person specification 

Essential: 

• At least 1 years’ experience supervising advice services or managing advice teams.

• Sound understanding of regulated advice delivery (e.g., debt, benefits, housing).

• Proven ability to manage people and deliver operational leadership.

• Experience conducting case checks and applying Citizens Advice quality standards.

• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.. 

• Have access to a vehicle and be willing to travel to locations across Doncaster 

• An understanding of local and national issues that may affect those accessing the service provision 

Desirable:

• Experience of building relationships with partners and external organisations 

• Experience of working within a community setting

• Proven experience of working towards and achieving targets and running funded projects

Terms and conditions

• Full time salary £28,000 -  £31,700 per annum depending on experience

• Hours - 37 hours per week with some requirement for out of usual office hours remote supervision

• A full-time post holder will be entitled to 28 days which are inclusive of the 8 normal bank holidays and 4 associated days.

Role Overview

Job purpose

This role serves as a liaison for the BDA’s specialist group, sub-group and branch volunteer communities. Working closely with colleagues across the BDA, the role ensures a high level of support, maintenance and development of the organisation’s member led networks.

The role supports the work of the membership, marketing and communications team to coordinate activity and projects that promote the work of member volunteers and the wider volunteer programme.

The Membership, Marketing and Communications Team delivers and maintains responsive

member services and excellent communications to engage with our membership community in person and through both digital and print media.  Key areas of responsibility

Volunteer support and coordination

• Act as an internal contact for BDA specialist groups, sub-groups and branches, liaising with colleagues across the BDA to ensure the effective delivery of volunteer services.
• Serve as a main point of contact for the BDA’s regional branch network, which provides CPD and networking opportunities for members and other attendees at a local level.
• Provide advice, support and guidance to BDA specialist group and branch volunteers as required.

We are looking for an Advisor to provide quality advice, information and support to students using the Advice Service, including casework and accompanying students to meetings and hearings. Purpose of the Role

The Administrator / Finance Officer plays a key role in the smooth running of One Newham. The postholder will provide reliable financial administration, maintain accurate records, support budgeting and reporting cycles, and ensure effective office and administrative systems are in place, with a strong emphasis on finance.

About Us

Beginning Again is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation set up to promote the resettlement and rehabilitation of offenders and ex-offenders in order to reduce rates of re-offending and to contribute to the creation of safer communities.

It seeks to achieve its objectives primarily by providing mentoring, advice, and opportunities for gaining work experience in an outdoor setting as part of a team.

Role Purpose

This is a new, permanent role in Cumbria to implement the charity’s rehabilitation and resettlement plans to help reduce re-offending. The work we are undertaking, primarily horticultural, is currently focussed in the North West of the county but we wish to expand to other areas. As our new HR Officer, you’ll join a dedicated, ambitious and friendly team soon to be five strong. We may be small, but our aspirations are anything but and we challenge ourselves to deliver excellence in everything we do.

In this role, you’ll work closely with managers across the organisation, building trusted relationships and helping us manage our most important asset: our people. You’ll take on a broad portfolio from employee relations and policy development to payroll, recruitment support, and organisational development projects. And importantly, you’ll have real scope to innovate, influence improvements and challenge the status quo.

What you’ll be doing:

Operational HR Delivery

• Providing professional advice on HR policies, performance, grievance and disciplinary matters
• Keeping our HR systems and employee records accurate and up to date
• Designing and delivering key HR processes, including objective setting, pay letters and contract changes
• Managing the monthly payroll process accurately and confidently
• Supporting diversity & inclusion, wellbeing, learning and development initiatives

Partnering & Employee Relations

• Coaching and supporting managers across the business
• Supporting employee relations cases professionally and sensitively
• Building trusted relationships with teams to stay close to people priorities

Projects & Reporting

• Producing HR metrics and reports to help shape decision making
• Managing elements of our culture, change and organisational development projects
• Coordinating staff surveys and our Manager 360 Feedback programme

Recruitment & Onboarding

• Supporting the full recruitment cycle — adverts, screening, interviews and offers
• Ensuring new starters receive a warm, well-planned induction

What you’ll need:

• A confident HR practitioner with Level 3 CIPD (or equivalent experience)
• Skilled at advising managers and building strong professional relationships
• Analytical, detail-focused and comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative data
• Ability to balance competing priorities and use your initiative
• A collaborative team player who takes pride in doing things well

Carers Together Foundation is an organisation dedicated to improving Carers’ quality f life. We listen to Carers, give them a voice, provide information, practical and emotional support and promote Carers’ rights across the South Tees area.

 We are seeking an experienced Carers Financial Wellbeing Officer to provide a range of information and support services to carers. The postholder will identify and support carers who are currently, or are at risk of, experiencing poverty or financial exclusion. The postholder will also provide specialist money management advice and support based on carers needs.

Operations Director

The ideal candidate

We are looking for a values‑driven operational leader with significant experience in senior operations, systems, or transformation roles. You will bring strong technical capability in designing and embedding systems and processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to produce high‑quality management information for senior leaders and Boards.

You will be an influential communicator who can lead through change, build strong relationships across the organisation, and support others to work in consistent, effective, and collaborative ways. With a strong grasp of governance, risk, compliance, and organisational assurance, you will balance strategic vision with hands‑on delivery. Above all, you will share Action Together’s commitment to social justice, equity, and strengthening people, places, and partnerships

The role

The Operations Director will lead the development, optimisation, and continuous improvement of Action Together’s systems, processes, and organisational infrastructure. Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will co-design, develop, and maintain internal systems and processes that enhance operational delivery and organisational efficiency, ensuring they are fully embedded into day-to-day use with clear ownership, guidance, and effective performance monitoring.

You will oversee core central functions including HR, Communications and Impact, Data Protection and Information Management, and Health & Safety. You will play a key role in internal digital transformation, policy development, risk management, and organisational compliance. You will produce high‑quality management information that supports strategic decision‑making, work closely with Locality Directors to standardise and enhance delivery models. In addition, with reference to our constitution and Scheme of Delegation you will be responsible for supporting governance at Board meetings, and the AGM.
