We are seeking a skilled advice and guidance officer to work with individuals within the GRT communities in Surrey. Main purpose of the job:
- To provide practical advice, guidance, information and support to GRT adults in Surrey that helps them secure appropriate accommodation, including access to relevant benefits and financial support.
- To signpost GRT individuals and / or their carers to connect to and engage with appropriate services.
- To provide Surrey’s GRT communities with information and advice in order to empower them to maintain their own health and wellbeing, with choice and control over their lives.
- To provide advice to statutory and other partners on working with GRT communities.
- To provide the above support either in person, over the phone, by video app or via email/website, that is culturally appropriate and appropriate to the individual and their support structure and needs.
Main tasks
- Support individuals in managing finances and benefit claims.
- Help individuals to find appropriate accommodation.
- Advise individuals in setting up and maintaining a home or tenancy.
- Signpost to appropriate health/treatment services, including in areas of mental health, healthy eating, GP registration, immunisation, family planning, pregnancy and use of NHS helplines and webpages.

- Give support in understanding domestic abuse and signpost to support
- Help carers and young carers identify themselves and know how to access support

About You

To do this, we need someone who embodies the following attributes, skills and experience.
You will have:

Role Summary
We are looking for a Prospect Development Officer to join our highly successful prospect development team, working in partnership with our fundraising team to manage their prospect pools and portfolios. You will provide insight and advice on donors, trusts, foundations, corporations, and other organizations, collating and reviewing data and writing concise and informative reports for the fundraising team and senior stakeholders within the University. You will proactively identify new prospects, ensuring that biographical information is accurate and up to date. 4. DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
4.1 GRANT PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
To work within organisational strategies and policies, and in accordance with the priorities and guidance as specified by the Programme Manager:
- Contribute to the delivery of all aspects of the grant cycle, including responding to applicant inquiries, assessment of applications, presenting and discussing applications with the grant committee and communicating decisions to applicants. On occasion, there may a requirement to contribute to this work for other JRCT grant programmes.
- Assist with monitoring grantees’ work and expenditure of JRCT funds.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of networking, convening or learning initiatives for grantees.

- Use the grants administration database to process and monitor grant applications and provide reports and statistics. Maintain accurate database records to enable the appropriate payment and ongoing monitoring of grants.

The Role
What will I be doing?
You’ll be responsible for a broad range of high‑level Executive Office support activities, including:
- Preparing, coordinating and servicing senior leadership meetings, including drafting clear agendas, collating accurate papers, taking high‑quality minutes and tracking actions with a strong attention to detail.
- Providing high‑quality executive and administrative support to the CEO Office, including complex diary and inbox management, and the drafting, handling and dispatch of correspondence on behalf of the Group CEO with excellent written accuracy and judgment.
- Supporting effective planning, briefing and preparation to ensure the Group CEO is fully equipped for internal and external engagements, with well‑structured briefings and precise, timely documentation.

How will I be working?
We operate a flexible, trust based working model that gives colleagues autonomy over how, when and where they work, while recognising the value of in person collaboration. You will be assigned a base office, with hybrid working offered as standard. This role does however involve regular visits to our head office based on business needs.
You will engage in regular in person collaboration with your team (as operational appropriate), as well as with colleagues across the wider organisation, to ensure effective operational alignment and to support our inclusive approach to working.

Role Overview:

Prostate Cancer Research (PCR) is seeking a highly organised and proactive Patient Engagement & Programme Officer to support the delivery of several key patient-focused initiatives, including the infopool and Prostate Progress.
This role will sit within the Patient Projects team, providing operational, administrative, and patient engagement support across a range of programmes designed to support and empower men affected by prostate cancer.
The postholder will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of patient communications, programme logistics, digital resource management, and recruitment support for the national Prostate Progress research platform.
The role will be split approximately 50% supporting Prostate Progress recruitment and patient engagement activities, and 50% supporting wider programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Prostate Progress – Patient Recruitment & Support
Provide support to patients and participants, particularly during the upcoming national recruitment campaigns delivered with NHS DigiTrials.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing and triaging incoming emails and phone enquiries from patients responding to recruitment invitations or having issues using the platform
- Responding to patient queries using approved FAQ materials and support documentation
- Escalating complex queries or complaints to appropriate internal teams
- Liaising with our technical support team to resolve participant platform issues and triaging issues accordingly
- Supporting the development and refinement of participant support materials and FAQs
- Maintaining clear records of common issues, feedback, and participant concerns

- Supporting the administration of Google Analytics and Hotjar surveys
- Assisting with analysis of website usage data and patient feedback
- Analysing simple infopool survey feedback data coming from three clinical sites.
