Community Fundraising Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and talented fundraising team

We are looking for an experienced Community Fundraising Manager to join our small and friendly fundraising team. You will be responsible for driving our strategy for Community Fundraising, Individual/Regular Giving and Events. With a database of around 100,000 registrants and 15,000 members, these existing income streams have lots of great potential. We have amazing fundraisers in our community who take on challenges like the London Marathon, London to Brighton bike ride, or their own swimming challenge and there’s lots of great potential amongst our supporters, including our committed members and regular givers.

Contract:  Permanent
Hours:  30 hours per week (negotiable for the right candidate)
Flexibility: We are a flexible employer and most of our staff are juggling things (including caring for multiples!) We are great at making jobs work around life.
Salary: £31,000 - £33,000 (pro rata)
Reports to: Head of Development 
Work location: Hybrid/remote. Office space in London Bridge, although entirely remote option is fine. Travel to events will also be required.

Purpose of the role

• Grow a successful existing income stream (Fundraising Events and Regular Giving) and develop and grow a comparatively new income stream (Community Fundraising and Individual Giving) for Twins Trust. You will do this alongside other fundraisers in the team and with support from a Fundraising Officer.
• Lead and develop a multi-year strategy for growing our Community and Events programmes, with a well-planned calendar of events throughout the year covering different themes and geographies.
• Lead the strategy for our Individual/Regular Giving programme
• Lead on the creation, planning and delivery of a new Twins Trust owned mass participation fundraising event
• Provide strategic support and guidance to our Fundraising Officer to implement the annual raffle, ongoing Lottery programme and Individual Giving programme.
• Work closely with other teams across Fundraising, Membership and Communications to spot opportunities to maximise income and drive new projects forward
• Provide exceptional relationship management and stewardship to fundraisers in our community to make them feel appreciated, maximise income raised and encourage repeat fundraising

Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing a strategy for Community They will be able to demonstrate how they have delivered one or more of these income streams and grown these programmes significantly, providing excellent stewardship to fundraisers.

Person specification

Essential

• Significant experience of leading a 6 figure multi-year community fundraising strategy including forecasting and monitoring income and expenditure
• Experience of leading community, events, or Individual/Regular Giving fundraising - taking ownership and achieving growth in scale and income
• Experience of creating and delivering a new medium to large scale (£25k plus) fundraising event, maximising all commercial opportunities within it
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Ability to manage several projects at the same time
• Experience working in a CRM and analysing data to inform decision-making (Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus)

Community Project Lead 

• Two-year fixed term, full-time (35 hours per week) or part-time (minimum 21 hours per week considered), £28,000 – £32,000 per annum depending on experience (pro rata if part-time)

IPSEA is the leading charity in the field of SEND law in England, and we provide free and independent legal advice and support to families of children and young people with SEND. We also provide training on the SEND legal framework, and we influence policy at both a local and national level.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Community Project Lead to join our team and lead the development of our advice services for under-served communities. This two-year, fixed-term role is a key part of our strategy to reach groups who may not traditionally engage with IPSEA’s support - including children and families with English as an additional language, cared-for children (children in care), migrant children, detained children, and Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities.

The project builds on a detailed scoping exercise we’ve recently completed, which involved working closely with a wide range of charities and organisations that support these communities. The resulting report outlines the barriers they face, and will form the foundation for this project and directly inform the work you will lead.

What you’ll do 

• Design and develop pilot advice services that are tailored to the needs of under-served communities, using findings from IPSEA’s research 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, charities and service providers to co-produce accessible services 

• Collaborate with IPSEA’s advice, legal and policy teams to address the barriers these communities face in accessing SEND legal advice 

• Contribute to and share outreach materials, training resources and toolkits to support families of under-served communities and empower local advocates 

• Plan and lead workshops, focus groups and community events to raise awareness, gather feedback and enhance service delivery 

• Monitor and report on project outcomes and impact, providing regular updates to IPSEA staff and stakeholders

The National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) is seeking a proactive and skilled Media Officer to join our Communications and Public Affairs team. This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to help shape and strengthen NFCC’s voice in the national conversation around fire and rescue services.

Reporting into the Media and External Affairs Manager, you will play a central role in growing our media presence and positioning NFCC as the go-to source for journalists covering national fire and rescue issues. You will help to ensure our messages are clear, timely, and authoritative across all platforms.

Key responsibilities:

Serve as a point of contact for incoming media enquiries.

Take ownership of key communications tools and systems, including media monitoring and audit of coverage.

Vision of adventure, a small outdoor charity based in the Lake District , is seeking an experienced fundraiser to join our team. We specialise in working with people with visual impairments facilitating outdoor adventures, social connection and access to specialist coaching. To achieve this the organisation partners visually impaired individuals with sighted guides for residential weekends focusing on: long walks, canoeing, climbing, tandem biking, and more. We're recruiting for an Individual Giving Manager to join our team, and take the lead on our warm programme, bringing in around £1.2 million donated income per year. This role offers a mixture of campaign and project management, innovation and creative thinking. You'll be able to analyse results and apply insights to optimise and improve campaigns.

As a Individual Giving Manager you will

• Lead on the development and implementation of an effective programme to develop supporters using a range of channels, including but not limited to direct mail, telemarketing, DRTV and digital, and products including cash, raffle, regular giving, weekly lottery. 

• Assist the Senior Individual Giving Manager to develop and implement an effective development strategy in order to maximise the lifetime value of supporters and the long-term sustainable net income raised for Barnardo's. 

• Manage income and expenditure budgets. 

• Line manage up to 3 direct reports. 

 You will have experience of :

• Working in a fundraising environment, specifically in direct marketing and across different channels.
• Delivering campaigns using a project management approach.

We offer remote or hybrid working (dependent on location) for this role, and are willing to discuss flexible working arrangements.

The Role

· Responsible for engaging with and developing positive relationships with hospital colleagues, patients and families.

· Develop innovative fundraising campaigns specifically aimed at raising awareness and funds for the Cancer Centre.

· Working with and supporting both new and existing supporters.

· Work collaboratively with colleagues to implement hospital engagement and communication plans.

· Attend a range of fundraising events/activities,  some of which will be outside normal working hours.

· Ensure all activity within the team complies with the charity’s values, the Fundraising Code of Practice and          other relevant regulation and guidance.

· Maintain accurate records of supporter interaction on our CRM system to aid delivery of an exceptional supporter experience and to harness the value of data.

The successful candidate will:

· Possess exceptional communication skills with the ability to quickly build and maintain rapport with a wide range of stakeholders

· Be confident working independently and as part of a team.

· Have the ability to provide exceptional stewardship to supporters.

· Have proven fundraising experience with a drive to achieve results.

· Be able to show a working knowledge of fundraising principles, methods and procedures.

York Frailty Hub is a clinically led, multi-organisational team supporting frail patients in the community with the aim of:

• Reducing avoidable hospital admissions
• Expediting safe discharge from hospital
• Enabling people to remain independent for longer and optimise their quality of life whilst living in the community

The Social Prescribing Manager will lead on the delivery, development and sustainability of the VCSE element of the York Frailty Hub. 

As part of the York Frailty Hub MDT, you will be a key member of the multi-disciplinary team that is provided through the York Frailty Hub for people living in the City of York.

Are you an experienced Chartered Financial Accountant, with extensive experience working in Financial Operations (FinOps) within international charities?
