The London Legal Support Trust is an independent charity that raises funds for free legal advice services in London and the South East. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Events & Fundraising Assistant to help deliver our growing programme of own brand mass participation events and third-party challenge events. Access to justice is at the heart of our fundraising events, and the Events & Fundraising Assistant is a vital part of the team delivering the world's largest one day gathering of lawyers at the London Legal Walk.

You will help with supporter communications, event administration, logistics and event delivery, supporter enquiries and fundraising stewardship ensuring each participant feels inspired and thanked for their contribution to supporting frontline free legal advice charities. 

Job description

The Events & Fundraising Assistant helps to improve, develop and organise our events, including the London Legal Walk, Great Legal Bake, Great Legal Quiz and many more across London and the South East. You will work to maintain contact with our wide network of dedicated supporters, keeping our database up-to-date with contact and event information, and support with the on the day delivery of the event. You will update our website and produce content for printed materials to promote our events programme, and assist with the recruitment and management of volunteers.

• Maintain and build on existing LLST fundraising events through supporting delivery - managing sign ups, responding to enquries, drafting event materials and correspondence with supporters.

• Attend, help at and supervise events including registration, set-up, pack-down and stakeholder management.

• Improve and maintain LLST's website and online presence on LLST's social media chanels.
• Administrative duties inlcuding data entry and income processing.
• General support, ensuring LLST’s activities comply with charity, company and general law.

Working closely with the Head of Events and Community Fundraising, you'll play a pivotal role in growing community fundraising income and supporter engagement across the charity. You'll build relationships with supporters, community groups and volunteers, helping them achieve their fundraising ambitions whilst ensuring they feel valued every step of the way. Alongside this, you'll support the delivery of a portfolio of special events, helping to create exceptional experiences that inspire support for Brain Research UK's mission.

The successful candidate will be joining at an exciting stage of development, with plenty of opportunity to bring fresh ideas, identify new fundraising opportunities and contribute to the future growth of the community fundraising programme. You'll work across supporter stewardship, event delivery, fundraising development and reporting, making this a broad and varied role with excellent scope for career development.

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, enthusiastic and naturally people-focused. You might already be working in community fundraising, events or supporter engagement, or perhaps have developed transferable relationship-management skills in another sector and are looking to bring them into the charity world.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys building lasting relationships, has excellent communication skills and is motivated by delivering outstanding supporter experiences. You'll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, confident working independently and excited by the opportunity to help grow an ambitious fundraising programme.

SOS UK is looking for a Digital Communications Manager to deliver our new digital communications and mobilisation strategy, growing our reach, impact and income while inspiring people to take action for sustainability.

Role details

Location: Home working anywhere in the UK, with occasional UK-wide travel, early starts, late returns and approximately five overnight stays per year.

Salary: £44,672–£49,456 per annum, plus London Weighting of up to £3,655 pro rata where applicable. We also provide up to a 6% pension contribution and life assurance.

About the role

This exciting role at SOS UK with plenty of scope for influence and development.

This role will work closely with Campaigns and Advocacy colleagues to deliver our new digital and communications strategy, helping to professionalise our communications and digital, and mobilise and inspire the public to take time, money and voice actions that support us and the youth led campaigns we help make happen.

You will work closely with colleague across the organisation to deliver inspiring, impactful communications, driving support for SOS UK and engagement with young people.

This role would suit a mid-career digital or communications generalist, with skills in email marketing, web and social media, including short-form video (e.g. Instagram Reels or TikTok).

At London City Mission we are passionate about sharing the love of God and the good news of Jesus Christ with the least reached in London, and to do this in partnership with churches.   

Bridge House is a new Christian community-based homelessness prevention project that bridges the gap between being at risk of eviction and long-term stable housing.It works, particularly with men from displaced backgrounds providing short-term accommodation and holistic support in partnership with local churches for up to 10 men who are at risk of homelessness.

Through practical, emotional, spiritual, and community-based support, Bridge House helps residents build stability and transition successfully into independent living and integrate into life in the UK.  

We are looking for a full-time Project Leader to lead this exciting new ministry at Bridge House. 

About You: 

• You are passionate about working with marginalised people and providing the support required to enable genuine lifestyle change. 

• You are passionate about partnership with Churches and sharing the love of Jesus with all those we work with. 

• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, whilst being able to work on your own initiative, think creatively and act with the utmost integrity. 

About the Role: 

Project Leader – Bridge House 

• You will work as part of a mission team to confidently lead and develop Bridge House supported housing project. 

• You will manage the Bridge House support team to develop individual client led support plans for each resident and in providing one to one support for those individuals, always maintaining a high standard of care while also taking on a caseload of residents to support yourself. 

• You will maintain an atmosphere where positive change and growth is encouraged and a place where tenants can take positive steps that will enable them to move on and lead independent and responsible lives. 

• You will share the love of Christ and take opportunities for sharing the gospel with the guests 

• You will assess prospective residents’ suitability to the project. 

Salary:   £37,720 plus benefits 

Location:  Bridge House, London Bridge 

Working Hours: Full-time (40 hours inclusive of lunch breaks) 

Contract: Fixed-Term - 24 months

There is an occupational requirement that the person appointed be an evangelical Christian.
