Responsibilities of our Branch Support Unit Advisor: 

• Deliver proactive operational and administrative support to Volunteer Teams, Centres, and regional Operations staff, managing communications, enquiries, and departmental processes 

• Coordinate and support volunteer engagement activities, including recruitment drives, events, and with charity policies, while facilitating cat relocations and centre visits 

• Lead on organising meetings and events, sourcing cost-effective venues, managing logistics, and supporting project implementation across regional teams 

About the Branch Support Unit team: 

• We sit within the Central Operations team 

• Our day-to-day work includes; maintaining branch information on the database; arranging events lottery licenses, PetPlan, cat relocations, NCC visits and processing Annual Returns; supporting Operations staff with projects and collating and dispatching mail outs to Volunteer Teams and centres 

• We currently have a team of 8 AND ONE TEAM LEADER 

What we’re looking for in our Branch Support Unit Advisor: 

•  Administration experience preferably within an office environment 

• A customer service background with experience interacting with members of the public 

• Proven ability to multi-task and work on own initiative, accurately and under pressur 

• A confident communicator, particularly using the telephone 

• Strong Microsoft Office knowledge including Word and Excel 

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred

As Partnerships and Best Practice Lead, you will play a central role in building a national, cross-sector alliance of young people, families, practitioners, organisations and service providers. Together, this alliance will drive meaningful reform and create better pathways into adulthood for disabled young people.

This is an opportunity to help shape a new initiative from the ground up—spreading best practice, testing innovative approaches, and building strong evidence of what works.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a broad collaborative partnership of cross‑sector organisations, providers, and experts to achieve collective ambition of driving improvement in transitions support.

For over 15 years, Scotty's Little Soldiers has been supporting children and young people who have been bereaved of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces.  We are about to embark on an exciting journey which will see the charity evolve to support anyone affected by a military-connected bereavement and ultimately empower a community of more than 25,000 bereaved individuals and their families by 2035. 

Founded in 2010 by Nikki Scott following the death of her husband, Corporal Lee Scott, the charity currently offers a unique blend of emotional, practical, and educational support to over 750 young people.

To ensure that Scotty’s understands and demonstrates the impact of its work — through high-quality research, meaningful measurement, and clear reporting. You will lead the development of internal and external research projects, manage beneficiary insight gathering, and oversee the systems and frameworks we use to evaluate and share our effectiveness.  

This role is central to helping us improve what we do and explain why it matters and ensuring that lived experience remains at the heart of everything we do.  

The key responsibilities of this role are:  

Impact Measurement  

• Develop and maintain frameworks to measure the outcomes of all services and programmes.  

• Ensure Success Measures (KPIs) and qualitative feedback tools are aligned to our Theory of Change.  

• Work with the Families (service delivery) team to embed consistent and meaningful data collection across all services.  

• Design simple, automated reporting processes to reduce manual admin and improve data use, making effective use of Scotty’s CRM.  

Research & Insight  

• Lead internal research projects using beneficiary data, surveys, and feedback loops.  

• Scope and manage external research partnerships with academic institutions or sector bodies.  

• Design and deliver surveys to beneficiaries and the wider bereaved military community

• Act as the internal ‘voice of insight’ – bringing beneficiary perspective and data into key conversations.  

• Contribute to team training on evaluation, feedback collection, and outcomes thinking.

• Track key developments in bereavement, the Armed Forces, and children, young people and families policy

About You 

Must-Have  

Proven experience in research and impact evaluation, ideally in the charity or public sector

About the Role

We are seeking an individual to undertake the dual role of promoting the profile of the RAF Benevolent Funds welfare offer, whilst also carrying out welfare casework. This is a community-based position working from home but covering South Central Scotland.

Post holders will be expected to undertake holistic assessment of need both remotely (over the telephone and online) and when required in person across their region. You will be expected to work with individuals who may have complex and sometimes challenging welfare needs, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within both the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector, ensuring that support is made available to meet their need through the case working process.

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to work with staff and volunteers at our established Christian recovery charity in Berkshire. Job Context and Special Features

This role is a key senior management position within Humanimal Trust, with responsibility for ensuring that strategy is translated into effective delivery, that the operational team is supported to perform at its best, and that the Trust operates with strong governance, compliance and financial control.

This is a one-year fixed term appointment for a 28-hour (3.5 day) working week, starting at the earliest opportunity.  The role is home-based in the UK, with occasional travel to other locations in the country.

This is a new role to stabilise, diversify and grow income in a financially constrained environment, reducing reliance on statutory funding, increasing unrestricted income, and strengthening Catalyst Support’s credibility with all sources of non statutory funding, including trusts, foundations, corporates, individuals and communities.
