What you’ll do

• Co‑lead the Finance Systems & Projects function, partnering with the Head of Finance Systems & Projects.

What you’ll bring

• Part‑qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA) or equivalent experience; newly qualified welcome.

Purpose of the Job 
As the Individual Giving Manager, you will proactively help deliver our supporter acquisition and retention programmes through the development, implementation and management of multiple campaigns. The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) is recruiting a small number of assessors to join an existing assessment team for the Turing Programme - an outward education and training mobility programme funded and overseen by the UK Department for Education. The Turing programme enables learners in schools, colleges and universities to access international study and work opportunities and delivers transformative opportunities for individuals and communities across the UK.

The ACU works with a network of external assessors to assess applications and appeals from institutions in the Schools, Further Education/Vocational Education and Training and Higher Education sectors in the UK and British Overseas Territories. This is a unique opportunity to make a major contribution to a leading global mobility programme. The Turing programme will operate in Academic Year 2026/27 and are recruiting to be ready should the programme go ahead. 

We are seeking assessors for the Schools and Further Education/Vocational Education and Training sectors only. 

Assessors will be responsible for evaluating applications against the programme criteria. We are keen to welcome applicants from all four UK countries - England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland - to reflect the diverse and devolved nature of UK education and training. 

Assessors must possess sector-specific knowledge of one or more of the sectors being recruited, and a solid track record of conducting high-quality, independent assessments for local, national or international agencies. You will also have substantial experience at a middle or senior management level in the UK Schools or FE/VET sectors, and the ability to produce concise, effective written feedback. We are also keen to hear from applicants with experience in both sectors. 

Comprehensive, compulsory training will be provided to all successful applicants in March 2026, should the programme be confirmed for this year. Appointed assessors who complete the training will be paid a maximum of one day’s assessment rate as a contribution to their time spent undertaking the training.

Assessors will each be required to commit to the equivalent of approximately 2 - 2.5 days’ assessment work (16-20 hours) per week throughout the 6-week assessment window, which we anticipate will take place throughout March and April 2026 (subject to confirmation). This equates to 4 applications in one day (i.e. 8 applications over 2 days, 10 applications over 2.5 days). Assessors will be paid £340 for each full day of completed assessments (4 applications) or a pro-rated amount for each assessment (quarter day). This rate is inclusive of feedback consolidation and of any supplementary review or reassessment that may be needed as the result of a quality check or moderation.

Additional assessment days within the assessment window may be offered to those with capacity to do more, depending on the number of funding applications received. We also reserve the right to appoint reserve assessors in case of substantially increased demand. Being appointed is no guarantee of any paid work.

Key tasks

• Advice and insight: providing advice and insight on the quality of applications and the management of the process with recommendations for improvement. 

Skills and experience: Essential 

• Sector-specific expertise: demonstrable sector-specific knowledge and expertise of one or more of the sectors being recruited to (Schools or Further Education/Vocational Education and Training), and substantial experience at middle or senior management level in one or more of these sectors in the UK, and experience of working in education and training in one or more of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We are also keen to hear from applicants with experience in both sectors.

Role Summary

The Training & Consultancy Officer will work closely with the Senior Consultancy and Training Manager, and Director of Consultancy and Training to deliver significant elements of activity. Abianda is a London-based charity that works with young women and girls affected by criminal exploitation and violence, and the professionals who support them. We exist to ensure young women are no longer hidden in our communities and can live free from harm and abuse. We aim to bring about a culture shift in how services are delivered to young women and girls, so that they can access support that works for them when they need it.

Abianda is seeking an experienced and collaborative Young Women and Girls Practitioner (1:1) to work with young women and girls aged 13-25 affected by criminal exploitation and violence as part of our flagship service, the Star Project.

As the Young Women and Girls Practitioner (1:1), you will take young women and girls through a tailored programme of activities, supporting skills development and critical thinking. You will work with young women and girls over a period of approximately 6 months, or up to 24 sessions. You can read more about the service on our website.

If you have experience of delivering one-to-one sessions with young women and girls affected by criminal exploitation and want to support them to navigate systems, spaces and relationships safely and healthily, and advocate for their rights and needs, then we’d love to hear from you.
 

Job Details:

• Salary: £30,756 per annum, plus pension (reviewed annually)

• Full-time, 35 hours (however we are currently on a 31.5 hour-week trial that will likely be extended)

• One-year fixed-term contract

• 25 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidays

• Flexible working - hybrid working including from our office in London N5, from home and travel around London with the possibility of UK travel

• Reporting to Abianda’s Head of Programmes - Borough Provision

About the role and you

We are looking for a data professional to support and manage significant changes in the way our charity uses, processes and manages data. Our teams pride themselves on evidence-informed practice, using research and data to enhance their work at every stage. There are elements of our charity’s work which are unique to our field, making our data highly valuable in contributing to the future of preventing child sexual abuse. We collect data all the time: on the individual progress of our clients, the reach of our campaigns and the demand for our support. As part of our new Tech and Data Strategy, we are taking the next stage in our use of data analysis and data science, ensuring that we use our data more effectively and efficiently to support our teams in preventing child sexual abuse.

We are looking for a Data Scientist/Analyst to help us make this change. You will be based in the LFF Research Team, reporting to our Director of Research and Impact.

This role will facilitate better use, processing and management of data across the organisation. It will focus on four areas:

• Data systems and structures
• Data analysis
• Data visualisation
• Data security and compliance

The postholder will work alongside experienced researchers to develop a new portfolio of priority projects to enhance our work. With no fixed task list or assigned service, this role offers the freedom to explore and innovate, identifying where data, data science, and data systems can drive real change.

This role will be remote or hybrid - we have offices in Bromsgrove, Epsom and Edinburgh.
