Here for You provides people diagnosed with breast cancer personalised and timely access to all of Breast Cancer Now’s trusted information and specialist support via a single healthcare professional referral.

You’ll build and enhance the relationships we have with NHS Trusts and healthcare professionals so that the referral route to Breast Cancer Now is integrated into their processes and procedures. You’ll also work with colleagues across the support and influencing directorate, as well as contributing to our monthly reporting.

We’re looking for someone with excellent communication and presentation skills, who is comfortable with multi-tasking and being proactive. You’ll be highly organised, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

You’ll be experienced in building positive relationships with colleagues and external partners alike.

£28,000 to £29,000 per annum if Sheffield based

Greyhound Rescue Wales (GRW) is Wales’ leading charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming greyhounds and lurchers. Founded in 1993, we have spent more than three decades championing the welfare of sighthounds and working towards our vision: a Wales without greyhound racing, where every greyhound and lurcher has a home and receives the best possible care. 

In April 2026, after 25 years of determined campaigning to improve welfare and regulation within the racing industry, legislation to ban greyhound racing in Wales was finally passed. This landmark achievement marks the beginning of a new chapter for GRW as we expand our reach and capacity across the UK to ensure every greyhound leaving the racing industry has a rescue space, medical support and rehabilitation on the journey towards their forever home. 

To help us grow sustainably and strengthen our long‑term impact, we are now seeking to develop our fundraising team with the creation of a Trusts and Foundations Officer. This role will play a key part in increasing and diversifying our income, enabling us to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome even more dogs during this pivotal moment in our charity’s history. 

Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Trusts & Foundations fundraiser who is ready to strengthen and diversify their experience, to work with small, medium and high-value funders, and to play a meaningful role within Greyhound Rescue Wales.

The Trusts and Foundations Officer is responsible for securing grants of varying sizes, translating all aspects of GRW’s work into compelling, high-quality applications for a diverse range of prospective funders.

As part of our Income Generation Team, you will work closely with the Head of Fundraising, Sponsorship & Individual Giving Officer and Community & Events Fundraiser to help deliver an annual income target of £400K+.

You’ll take ownership of a varied portfolio of trust and foundation relationships, building on warm funders while also researching and developing new prospects at the four-to six-figure level.

Supporting the delivery of annual media plans for these areas of work, you’ll leverage our position as leading experts on breast cancer to secure media profile that increases our influence, engagement and support among target audiences, championing the needs of people affected by breast cancer, engaging key policy decision-makers and the NHS through our change-making campaigns and calls to action, and communicating our vital breast health awareness and health information and messaging to key stakeholders and the public to help make change happen now.

This role is a fixed term contract until end of February 2027.
 
About you 

You’ll be great at building trusted and influential relationships across internal and external contacts up to a senior level including colleagues, journalists, contacts at stakeholder organisations (such as NHS and NICE), people affected by breast cancer who support our work, and celebrities and influencers who support Breast Cancer Now. 

With an understanding and passion for policy, campaigns, and public health you’ll draw on your experience of working across health communications and/or media/PR environments to digest and distil complex and sensitive information into compelling media copy, with an eye for spotting proactive and reactive media opportunities to secure impactful profile.

Used to working in a fast-moving environment, you’ll work at pace without compromising quality of work and working closely with the senior media and PR manager – policy, campaigns and public health to effectively handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines to amplify the charity’s share of voice as a determined leader, driving progress and changing the future for anyone affected by breast cancer.

Casework is at the heart of everything Medical Justice does. We assist vulnerable people in immigration detention to access medical evidence. The evidence we produce forms the basis of our advocacy work to secure lasting change, including our research into the systemic failures in safeguarding and healthcare provision, the harm cause by these shortcomings, and the harmful effect of immigration detention itself on the health of those who are subjected to it.

As a Caseworker you will have your own caseload and be working directly with people in immigration detention, many of whom may be very unwell, traumatised and experiencing deterioration in their health. You will coordinate with our clinicians and, if clients have legal representation, their lawyers, to organise medical assessments. You will maintain communication with your clients throughout this process, acting as a key point of contact.

We are looking for an experienced caseworker, who can use their compassion and organisational skills to support clients in extremely vulnerable situations. We are looking for someone who has experience dealing with clients in crisis situations, who is resilient and able to manage complex, often traumatic, caseloads in a professional and empathetic way. You will play a key role in striving to ensure clients receive access to adequate healthcare and that they obtain high-quality independent medical evidence to progress their legal cases. As well as working as part of a small, dedicated team of caseworkers dealing with around 500 referrals a year.

Location: North London, the role is hybrid with 3 days based in the office each week following the successful completion of probation and training period.

Age UK Bromley & Greenwich is an independent local charity supporting older people across both boroughs. We work to enable, support and connect older people, promote independence and wellbeing and ensure their voices are heard.

We are looking for an Information & Advice Triage Worker to be the first point of contact for older people, carers and their families seeking support.

About the role

This role is central to our Information & Advice service. You will provide high-quality initial information and guidance, assess urgency and risk, and ensure people are directed quickly and appropriately to advice services, support services or partner organisations.

You will often be the first person someone speaks to, so a calm, empathetic and professional approach is essential.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for enquiries, mainly by telephone, with some face-to-face and email contact

• Provide accurate information on issues affecting older people including benefits, housing, care, health and local services

• Carry out structured triage to identify needs, priorities and risks

• Manage expectations clearly and sensitively

• Identify safeguarding concerns and follow organisational procedures

• Make timely referrals to internal services and external partners

• Maintain clear professional boundaries while offering a warm, person-centred response

• Record all contacts accurately and promptly on the organisation’s CRM system

• Maintain clear, concise and professional case notes

• Ensure confidentiality, consent and data protection requirements are met

• Work closely with advisers, service coordinators and partner agencies

• Take part in team meetings, supervision and training

• Keep knowledge up to date on welfare benefits, services and local provision

• Promote Age UK Bromley & Greenwich services positively and professionally

About you

Essential

• Experience in frontline information, advice, triage or high-volume customer contact work

• Confidence handling calls from people who may be distressed, anxious or frustrated

• Strong listening and questioning skills

• Ability to assess urgency and risk and take appropriate action

• Clear verbal and written communication skills

• Experience using a CRM or case management system

• Good general IT skills including email and Microsoft applications

• Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and professional boundaries

• Awareness of issues affecting older people and carers

• Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion

• Empathy, patience and a non-judgemental approach

Desirable

• Experience in the voluntary sector or health and social care

• Knowledge of welfare benefits, housing or adult social care

• Experience of face-to-face advice or reception-based work

• Knowledge of local services in Bromley or Greenwich

The role:
The Senior Grants Manager will play a leading role in the design, assessment and management of our funding programmes. Reporting to the Head of Grants, this role will lead the assessment of complex proposals, manage a varied portfolio of grants, build strong relationships with grantees and partners, and contribute to shaping the Trust’s grant-making strategy and growing their expertise in youth mental health. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced grants professional ready to step into a more senior role to contribute to shaping of the Trust’s  grant-making and make an impact in an important field.

This role will make a significant contribution to the delivery of the Trust’s objectives. The primary aim of this role is to bring senior grant-making expertise and knowledge to the team, in addition to growing the Trust’s expertise in the field of youth mental health.

This is an opportunity to work with and support a wide range of organisations, individuals. It will involve designing and delivering funding calls, managing relationships with grantees and exercising sound judgement, whilst capturing learning to inform future decision making and strategy. There will also be an important database and reporting aspect to this role, where accuracy and process management expertise will be essential.

The role is full-time and will be primarily office based at lovely offices in Central London. 

The person:
The successful candidate will have substantial grant-making experience alongside previous exposure to the thematic aspects of the Trust’s work on young people’s mental health and wellbeing. Exposure to research and/or impact measurement tools and methodologies will also be very useful.

This role would be suited to an adept grant‑maker who brings strong sector awareness and is energised by continuously deepening their understanding of youth mental health. Thoughtful, analytical and highly organised, this person will be a collaborative self-starter in addition to having excellent communication skills.

Team work, professionalism and accuracy are all keys to success in this role so evidence of having worked in high paced and busy teams, in similar areas of work will be very important, in addition to being able to work independently and to manage your own time.
