About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering and growing a national volunteering programme focused on outdoor adventure and youth development.

Working as part of a collaborative and supportive team, you’ll coordinate the recruitment, onboarding and support of volunteers across a range of programmes, including service teams, residential placements and events. You’ll help ensure every volunteer has a positive, safe and well-organised experience from first enquiry through to the end of their journey.

You’ll also support the development of service team opportunities and contribute to building alumni and ambassador pathways, helping to create a connected and engaged volunteer community.

What You’ll Be Doing as our Volunteering Coordinator:

• Coordinating volunteer recruitment, including enquiries, applications and interview scheduling
• Managing onboarding and pre-arrival administration, including compliance checks and documentation
• Supporting placement coordination across centres and acting as a key contact for volunteers
• Working closely with centre teams to plan volunteer needs and support delivery
• Supporting volunteer engagement and the development of service teams, alumni and ambassador initiatives

What We’re Looking For in our Volunteering Coordinator:

• Experience in coordination, administration, customer service or similar roles
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively

Monitoring and developing our Covid-19 Inquiry Recommendations Tracker, you will be an essential conduit for influencing policy and campaigns, part of a small but highly effective team. 

Job description

• Take overall responsibility for the Inquiry Recommendations Tracker, including its development, structure, accuracy and upkeep.
• Ensure the tracker is kept fully up to date, with progress on each recommendation accurately recorded and supported by relevant evidence.
• Monitor developments relating to Inquiry recommendations, including government responses, implementation activity and public statements, and provide colleagues with clear analysis to inform campaigning and parliamentary engagement.
• Gather and assess information from a range of sources to inform the tracker, including official publications, parliamentary material, stakeholder engagement and direct correspondence.
• Draft policy reports following module report publications, including analysis of recommendations and supplementary recommendations where appropriate, and provide briefing material to support campaign and parliamentary activity.

Our family women refuge's offer holistic support in order to empower women and their children who have experienced trauma to lead their recovery and gain the skills and confidence to move on safely. The Team Manager is responsible for the operational running and strategic direction of the refuge. Providing line management and leadership to the staff team, leading on contract and compliance and the safety, security and maintenance of the refuge, ensuring that the building aligns with our PIPE (Psychologically Informed Physical Environment) building standards and rental income is secured.

In terms of operational and building management, the Team Manager is responsible for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of the refuge in line with health and safety and PIPE (Psychologically Informed Physical Environment) standards. We are seeking a highly organised and systems-savvy Senior Administrator to play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our programmes, systems, and records. This role is particularly well suited to someone who enjoys working closely with data, systems, and processes, and takes pride in maintaining accurate, well-structured records that help teams run efficiently. 

A significant part of the role involves working with databases, spreadsheets, and CRM systems, so confidence using Excel (including formulas and data management) is essential. You will be comfortable navigating multiple digital systems and able to quickly learn new platforms, while maintaining high standards of data accuracy and organisation. Experience working with CRMs such as ImpactED, Beacon, Salesforce, or Blackbaud would be advantageous. 

You will be confident working across Microsoft Office 365 beyond Outlook, using tools such as SharePoint, Teams channels, and collaborative data systems to manage information and keep records up to date. The role requires someone who is methodical, detail-oriented, and proactive in keeping systems organised and information accessible. 

This is a 6-month maternity cover position, expected to run from June through November, with the possibility of extension depending on organisational needs and circumstances. 

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of our administrative, data management, and operational processes.
