Job Summary

The Senior Partnership Officer will play a pivotal role in building, strengthening and diversifying Bipolar UK’s high‑value relationships, with a particular emphasis on corporate fundraising and identifying strategic, mutually beneficial collaborations that support the charity’s long‑term needs.

Working closely with the Strategic Partnership Manager, you will manage and grow our portfolio of major donors, corporate supporters, and strategic partners. You will provide exceptional stewardship, ensuring partners feel valued, engaged, and inspired to deepen their relationship with us.

A key part of the role will involve proactively identifying and cultivating new corporate prospects, developing compelling propositions, crafting funding proposals, and pitching confidently to decision‑makers at all levels. You will help implement robust cultivation plans and ensure effective monitoring and evaluation across all partnership activity.

You will also work collaboratively across the wider Fundraising Team - including with the Fundraising Officer - supporting campaigns, events, and individual giving where needed.

This is a home‑based position with travel required for meetings and events across the UK. Some evening or weekend work may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the growth of corporate fundraising through proactive identification, research and cultivation of new corporate prospects.

The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) is recruiting a small number of assessors to join an existing assessment team for the Turing Programme - an outward education and training mobility programme funded and overseen by the UK Department for Education. The Turing programme enables learners in schools, colleges and universities to access international study and work opportunities and delivers transformative opportunities for individuals and communities across the UK.

The ACU works with a network of external assessors to assess applications and appeals from institutions in the Schools, Further Education/Vocational Education and Training and Higher Education sectors in the UK and British Overseas Territories. This is a unique opportunity to make a major contribution to a leading global mobility programme. The Turing programme will operate in Academic Year 2026/27 and are recruiting to be ready should the programme go ahead. 

We are seeking assessors for the Schools and Further Education/Vocational Education and Training sectors only. 

Assessors will be responsible for evaluating applications against the programme criteria. We are keen to welcome applicants from all four UK countries - England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland - to reflect the diverse and devolved nature of UK education and training. 

Assessors must possess sector-specific knowledge of one or more of the sectors being recruited, and a solid track record of conducting high-quality, independent assessments for local, national or international agencies. You will also have substantial experience at a middle or senior management level in the UK Schools or FE/VET sectors, and the ability to produce concise, effective written feedback. We are also keen to hear from applicants with experience in both sectors. 

Comprehensive, compulsory training will be provided to all successful applicants in March 2026, should the programme be confirmed for this year. Appointed assessors who complete the training will be paid a maximum of one day’s assessment rate as a contribution to their time spent undertaking the training.

Assessors will each be required to commit to the equivalent of approximately 2 - 2.5 days’ assessment work (16-20 hours) per week throughout the 6-week assessment window, which we anticipate will take place throughout March and April 2026 (subject to confirmation). This equates to 4 applications in one day (i.e. 8 applications over 2 days, 10 applications over 2.5 days). Assessors will be paid £340 for each full day of completed assessments (4 applications) or a pro-rated amount for each assessment (quarter day). This rate is inclusive of feedback consolidation and of any supplementary review or reassessment that may be needed as the result of a quality check or moderation.

Additional assessment days within the assessment window may be offered to those with capacity to do more, depending on the number of funding applications received. We also reserve the right to appoint reserve assessors in case of substantially increased demand. Being appointed is no guarantee of any paid work.

Eligibility

In order to be an assessor, applicants should: 

• Not be currently employed by the Association of Commonwealth Universities

• Not have been employed by the Association of Commonwealth Universities since 2020

• Hold a UK bank account registered in their own name or business name. Nominated bank accounts will not be accepted and payment will be in sterling.

Key tasks

• Understanding and applying the assessment criteria: assessors will need to demonstrate a clear understanding of the programme’s objectives, and assessment criteria, applying these consistently, fairly and transparently to all applications ensuring that these are consistently applied and adhered to. 

• Assessment of applications: completing the specified number of assessments to the programme’s quality standards and within the agreed timeframe and responding to any follow-up from the ACU secretariat in a timely manner.

• Scoring and feedback: completing the reporting template and feedback on applications, scoring each question against the evidence provided and constructing and consolidating meaningful feedback; revisiting and, where necessary, re-assessing applications or specific questions under the guidance of the relevant Senior Assessor. 

• Advice and insight: providing advice and insight on the quality of applications and the management of the process with recommendations for improvement. 

Skills and experience: Essential 

• Sector-specific expertise: demonstrable sector-specific knowledge and expertise of one or more of the sectors being recruited to (Schools or Further Education/Vocational Education and Training), and substantial experience at middle or senior management level in one or more of these sectors in the UK, and experience of working in education and training in one or more of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We are also keen to hear from applicants with experience in both sectors.

• Assessment or evaluation experience: extensive experience of conducting high-quality, high-stakes independent assessments and/or evaluations for local, national or international agencies in an education and training context. 

• Delivery: a clear track record of managing multiple priorities whilst meeting tight deadlines and exacting quality standards to get the job done. This also includes the ability to analyse written and numerical information and produce concise, impactful written feedback.

Ataxia UK is in an exciting phase of expansion in its Fundraising activity, specifically regarding investment in a Philanthropy function with a dedicated member of staff. In the past, High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) have been managed reactively by the CEO and other Fundraising staff as opportunities have arisen. Ataxia UK (AUK) now wants to make a step change, in response to identified potential within the current fundraising landscape, towards strategic management of a pipeline of HNWI. As part of this, AUK is looking to engage a consultant on a fixed term contract, to work closely with the Senior Philanthropy Manager to undertake comprehensive research & scoping, in order to populate a HNWI pipeline for AUK.

Context and Background

The NSPCC's mission is to end cruelty to children. In order to carry out its charitable work, we rely on the fundraising support of people across the UK for 90% of its annual income. Within Income Generation, our aim is to provide maximum resources for the NSPCC and children by working together to create the best possible donor experience by building long -term relationships to create a supporter experience which is different, better and more rewarding than that of supporting any other charity.

The Mass Participation Team (MPT) is an important part of the Philanthropy and Partnerships department within the Engagement and Fundraising directorate. MPT is responsible for attracting new supporters through our mass participation events and products to maximise fundraised income, and to optimise onward journeys to retain supporters within the NSPCC family.

The Mass Participation Team focuses on three areas of fundraising;

• Third party events – sporting and challenge events organised by third party suppliers, where we market spaces, recruit participants and support them in raising money in aid of the NSPCC. For example, the TCS London Marathon, Cardiff Half Marathon, Ultra Challenge series, skydives, bespoke treks.
• Schools Fundraising – a suite of fundraising products tailored to schools across all educational settings, including Number Day, the Kindness Challenge and Classmaster.
• DIY fundraising – supporters who choose to organise their own fundraising event or activity. Whether they take part with family or friends, at work or at school, we support them through stewardship and fundraising materials to help them reach their fundraising goals.

Job purpose

The role of the Fundraiser is to manage a number of events in the third party events portfolio. The Fundraiser will be responsible for working as a proactive member of the team to ensure that the participation levels and net income from each event/activity are maximised. The key aspects of the role are:

• To project manage specific event activities, co -ordinate cross fundraising activity, develop materials, keep track of budgets and evaluate as appropriate
• To develop specific activities and build existing activities to increase participation and income.

We're looking for a highly organised and creative Communications Officer to join our busy Communications Department. If you're passionate about clear, compelling communication and want your work to make a real difference across our membership, this could be the role for you. The communications team help champion the value of our members, influence national debate, and support our members. As part of our Creative, Publishing and Production team, you'll help deliver high-quality publications, campaigns and communications seen by nurses, policymakers and the wider public. Your work will support our mission to improve nursing practice, shape health policy, and represent more than half a million health professionals.

As our Communications Officer, you will:

• Be the engine behind our publications and materials.
• Coordinate production workflows across planning, writing, design, print and distribution.
• Maintain project files and schedules, keeping our processes running smoothly.
• Keep our publication's database up to date, summarising new materials and monitoring stock levels.
• Support consistent, high-quality communication
• Proofread and edit copy, ensuring accuracy, clarity and adherence to writing standards.
• Check and protect the visual identity across a range of channels, materials and communications
• Write copy for events, campaigns and marketing materials, working with designers to produce print- and web-ready outputs.
• Help bring our stories to life
• Source appropriate photography, manage permissions and maintain the photo library.

Experience & skills required for the role

• Experience in a communications or publications role, including writing for print and digital.
• You will have worked in the public sector in communications and, ideally in a health or membership setting.
• A strong copywriter, editor and proofreader - able to follow house style and follow guidelines with meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience of working on publications and a wide range of channels and formats
• Able to understand complex information or policies to create engaging content
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines within a busy team.
• Excellent literacy, numeracy and organisational skills.
• Confidence of working collaboratively with colleagues at all levels
• Educated to an A-level standard or equivalent; a communications-related qualification
• Willingness to travel occasionally (including overnight stays) and attend Congress.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Anti-Bullying Ambassador Programme engages young people and teachers to change the attitudes, behaviour and culture of bullying by building skills and confidence to address different situations, both online and offline. We do this by bringing together young people and teachers from multiple schools at full-day regional training events across the UK. Each training day focuses on provided anti-bullying content which our facilitators bring to life through engaging and interactive activities.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly organised, is reliable and is passionate about facilitating to young people.

Exact locations of school sessions will be provided to successful applicants but please be mindful that this can be across the UK, so a willingness to travel (with some overnight stays) is essential. (Travel and accommodation costs are reimbursed.)

We are particularly interested in facilitators who are based in the Midlands, the North East or the South West. 

ROLE ACTIVITIES

• Deliver full-day, in-person training sessions to a range of primary and secondary school aged young people with the aim of empowering young people to tackle bullying behaviour in their schools.
• Undertake preparation activities to familiarise yourself with training session materials.
• Participate in supervision at agreed intervals with the Programme Coordinator and additional trainings and briefings as assessed appropriate. 
• Keep young people safe while participating in sessions by adhering to The Diana Award’s safeguarding policy and practice, including reporting all safeguarding concerns and disclosures to The Diana Award’s Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Book and expense your own travel arrangements, in line with our Expense Policy. 
• Collect post-training surveys and input data into Excel and Salesforce. 

FEE

£175 per day for paired facilitation, including associated travel time
£215 per day for solo facilitation, including associated travel time
+ travel expenses and accommodation reimbursed in line with our expenses policy

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

• A demonstrable understanding of issues affecting young people; this could include topics such as bullying behaviour, online safety and mental health
•  Confident and engaging facilitator and public speaker, with ability to engage large groups of young people
• Ability to work both as part of a team and work independently, whilst meeting set deadlines 
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills
• Passion for providing a platform for young people to have a voice and drive change in their schools and communities.
• An ability to reflect on your professional practice 
• Willingness and ability to travel to different locations across the UK, with some overnight stays (max. 3 days of delivery per week); driver’s licence preferred
• Access to a laptop for delivery and administration (The Diana Award is unable to provide one)

This is an exciting opportunity oversee the development, fulfilment, and delivery of the charity’s new and existing fundraising products, helping to achieve the highest levels of engagement from both new and existing supporters.

Key responsibilities:

• To be responsible and accountable for the fulfilment and delivery of fundraising products, both within the Legacies and Products team, and the wider organisation
• To be responsible for development and delivery of product development roadmaps and project -level management information for new and existing products
• Create and populate numerical reports and models which communicate current and potential product performance. These will evaluate achievement, forecast results and analyse data, helping stakeholders at all levels understand success
• Support in the management of the Products team’s budget, particularly with the raising of purchase orders, processing of invoices, and securing quotes from suppliers
• To be a subject expert on fundraising products, maximising income by sharing knowledge, specialist expertise, best practice, and experience with others across the organisation

To be successful, you will need or need to be:

• Highly developed written communication skills to understand, interpret and present complex information in a clear and persuasive way for a range of audiences.
