The role

We're recruiting for a Programme Logistics Manager to join our Programme Operations team and help strengthen the systems that support Mary's Meals' school feeding programmes around the world.

Working closely with Programme Affiliates, Programme Partners and colleagues across Mary's Meals International, you'll provide technical oversight and support across key areas including inventory, fleet, facilities and supplier management, helping to ensure our logistics systems and processes are effective, efficient and sustainable.

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a permanent Finance Manager to join our busy finance team, working 30-37 hours per week, over a minimum of 4 days.

As Finance Manager, you will:-

• Provide day-to-day operational leadership of the finance team, including supervision, workload coordination, ongoing staff development and continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
• Act as the main link between the Finance Director and the Finance Team, translating strategic direction into clear, effective delivery.
• Lead month-end processes including the preparation of accurate and timely management accounts, maintaining strong balance sheet control and exercising sound judgement on complex financial issues.
• Oversee income, credit control, cashflow, short-term forecasting and the administration of the finance system, ensuring data integrity, high-quality management information and appropriate escalation of risks or pressures.
• Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as required.

About You

We need you to bring:

• AAT Level 4 Qualification or significant equivalent finance experience in a similar role, with responsibility for management accounts, reconciliations and income monitoring.
• Experience coordinating month-end processes and working across multiple income streams, contracts or funding arrangements.
• A methodical, organised approach to prioritising work and managing competing deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and sound professional judgement, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues, identify financial and organisational risk and escalate issues appropriately.
• Experience supervising, supporting and developing others within a finance setting, with a collaborative leadership style and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Confidence using financial systems and Microsoft Excel at an intermediate to advanced level.

The following attributes are also desirable:-

• Experience working in the voluntary or charitable sector, including knowledge of SORP accounting, year-end accounts and liaison with auditors.

The Job

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional to take ownership of all tax matters within a large and complex organisation. Working closely with senior finance colleagues and external advisers, you will act as the organisation's lead technical expert on VAT, Corporation Tax and Gift Aid, ensuring robust compliance, governance and risk management. You will provide practical advice to senior stakeholders, helping the organisation understand and navigate the tax implications of operational and strategic decisions.

The Person

We are seeking a qualified accountant or tax professional with strong technical expertise and experience operating within a large, complex organisation.
You will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience managing complex VAT environments, including partial exemption
• A track record of delivering accurate and timely tax compliance activities

The Role

You’ll use your quality improvement expertise to support health & care professionals with projects and programmes, equipping them with the latest tools, resources, evidence and data to develop and improve services for people with Parkinson’s.

You’ll support the development of a vibrant national network, working in collaboration with the Professional Engagement team and the regional clinical leads. Campaigning, policy and public affairs (70%) — lead our influencing strategy alongside the CEO, spot opportunities for systemic change, develop evidence-driven policy positions and briefings, and build relationships with members, politicians, civil servants and stakeholders.

Strategic communications (30%) — ensure the reach of our influencing, write high-impact influencing content for our digital channels, and act as first point of contact for media enquiries.

Anti-opressive, anti-racist practice and youth voice run through everything, including involving children and young people with lived experience safely and meaningfully in our work.

About you

You have a proven track record of influencing for systemic change through policy, public affairs, communications or campaigning within a voluntary sector organisation or coalition, and know how to turn complex policy and research into compelling written communications for varied audiences. You have a thorough understanding of the political environment and Parliament, strong relationship-building skills, and excellent project management. You bring a genuine interest in youth justice and the issues facing children in England and Wales, alongside a personal commitment to anti-racism, social justice and child rights.

Beder is looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial and hands-on Head of Fundraising & Partnerships to lead the next stage of our growth.

Beder was established in memory of Beder Mirjan, who sadly took his own life in 2017 at the age of 18. Since then, we have spent the past eight years working to raise awareness around mental health and suicide prevention, challenge stigma and, increasingly, provide tangible support to people who need it.

The focus of our work is the Beder Therapy Voucher programme, through which we fund free therapy for people (18+) across the UK as we all need someone to talk to with demand for that support growing significantly.

Until now, much of Beder's fundraising has been founder-led, supported by an incredible network of ambassadors, partners, businesses and individuals. We have built exciting partnerships across sport, business, entertainment and hospitality whilst creating a charity with an engaged community and an ambitious vision for the future.

We are now ready to build a dedicated and sustainable fundraising function so we are looking for someone who can take ownership of that journey.

This isn't a role for someone who simply wants to manage an existing fundraising programme as we are looking for someone who enjoys building one. Whilst working closely with our founder, trustees and wider team, you will develop and execute Beder's fundraising strategy, building sustainable income across corporate partnerships, major donors, trusts and foundations, individual giving, campaigns and events.

You will inherit a compelling cause, an established brand, strong relationships and a growing pipeline of opportunities – but you will also have the freedom to shape how Beder approaches fundraising for the future.

We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable developing a fundraising strategy, writing a compelling funding proposal, meeting a potential corporate partner and picking up the phone to a prospective supporter.

Above all, we want someone who believes in what Beder is trying to achieve and wants to roll their sleeves up and help us build something special.

Our immediate objective is to develop a diversified fundraising programme capable of sustaining our Beder Therapy Voucher service enabling Beder to meet the growing demand for free therapy while continuing to expand our wider mental health and suicide prevention work.

The successful candidate will have significant autonomy to develop the strategy, partnerships and fundraising infrastructure required to achieve that.

We are open to candidates from a range of fundraising backgrounds and would particularly welcome experience across corporate partnerships, philanthropy/major donors, trusts and foundations and strategic fundraising.

Experience within mental health is welcome but is not essential.

What matters most is that you are an outstanding relationship builder, an effective fundraiser and someone excited by the opportunity to help take a small, ambitious charity into its next chapter.
