LGBT Foundation is an impactful, vibrant charity with a wide portfolio of well-established services and rapidly developing new initiatives aimed at meeting the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans people.  The Fundraising & Marketing Team at LGBT Foundation is a small yet collaborative group of professionals. They are dedicated to advancing the visibility and impact of the UK’s leading health and wellbeing charity. The team is responsible for implementing wide-ranging fundraising, communication, and marketing strategies. By leveraging various channels such as email marketing, the organisation’s website, video, social media, OOH advertising and traditional media, the team strives to support the national visibility, brand awareness, impact storytelling and income generation of the charity by attracting, engaging and stewarding a growing supporter base.   LGBT Foundation’s Partnerships & Philanthropy Advisor will work with fundraising & marketing colleagues to deliver against strategic objectives and achieve in-year financial targets, significantly increasing income and support, specifically from corporates, individual giving (donations), legacies and fundraising events. In this role as a Partnerships & Philanthropy Advisor, corporate partnerships (attraction, engagement, and retention) will be a priority, ensuring members see the value in our offer.   

You will also work with the Director of Fundraising & Marketing to shape four individual giving campaigns a year and two legacy awareness campaigns a year. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to keep fundraising information on webpages and social channels active, ensuring regular promotion of charity challenges and shaping digital mobilisation efforts which will build the charity’s supporter base, attracting more new donors.   

You will support regular reporting on performance towards financial targets, working closely with colleagues to reconcile income, ensure Salesforce records and reports are up-to-date and that integrations support automated data flows.

Purpose of Job 

To deliver a high-quality service to and facilitate opportunities for individuals with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their families/carers through Shine membership.To empower and enable members living with the conditions to lead healthy and happy lives through greater independence, better condition management and by creating links to the Shine community across England. 

SHINE has over 15,000 members with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. This post will bring a real focus to the Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk area and will be an exciting opportunity to engage with members and develop and deliver the services we offer. 

We work with members of all ages from our Little Stars aged between 0 – 12, young people are members of our FIRE project and we have established adult support. Working alongside our multi skilled, established team, you will be supporting members across all age groups and building on the great foundations already in place. 

The role is home based but you will be required to attend clinic at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge on the first Friday of every month. You may also be required to cover other clinics, events in London and meet members one to one where necessary within your allocated area of Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk and occasionally across wider areas and nationally including meetings at our head office in Peterborough.

The National Youth Arts Trust (NYAT) is a small performing arts charity that exists to widen access to the performing arts for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds - through giving bursaries for music, dance, and drama lessons, running youth theatre projects, running our mentoring scheme for drama school graduates, and taking children to the theatre, often for the first time.

The Trust is seeking a Project Manager to work alongside the existing team, to help run the day to-day operations of our small and successful charity, with a focus on developing and running new charitable projects and events. 

Location: London – the successful candidate must be able to work from home but be willing to travel to central London for regular meetings and occasional events (we are open to flexible working arrangements).

About the opportunity

As Treasury Manager within our Finance & Assurance directorate, you'll own our Treasury and Accounts Receivable functions, playing a vital role in our financial sustainability. You'll monitor our cash position, forecast cash flow across diverse income streams from online fundraising platforms to direct donations and community collections, and manage banking relationships to ensure we optimise our working capital and invest our reserves wisely.

This isn't a back-office role. Core Responsibilities

· Accounts Payable and receivable functions

· Assist with the production of monthly management accounts,

· Posting accruals and prepayments

· Bank Reconciliations

· Managing the suppliers’ payments

· Assist with internal and external audit

· Assist with annua budgets and regular reforecasts.

· Restricted funding administration

· Ensure costs are recorded accurately against projects

· Accounts Reconciliations

· Assist in the month end process.

· Assist with preparation of weekly, monthly and year end reports

· Liaising on accounting transactions with SHM Foundation Africa Treasurer

· Assist in developing budgets for  fundraising projects and grants

The successful candidate will:

· Have an eye for quality and real attention to detail, applying high levels of rigour and attention to detail to their work and being willing to look at their own work critically

· Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

· A problem-solving attitude and a proactive mindset.

· Feel comfortable working and developing expertise in a fast-paced environment

· Have technical competence in the Microsoft Office suite including advanced competency in Microsoft Excel

· Knowledge of Sage would be required

· Always acting discreetly, you value integrity and accountability in your interactions with stakeholders, team members and customers

· Hard working with can-do-attitude, organised, able to meet deadlines, eager to learn

Qualifications & Experience

· ACCA/CIMA part qualified who is proactively working on completing their qualification.

· Intermediate to advance excel

· Knowledge of SORP (desirable)

· Understanding of fund accounting and Restricted grants reporting

· At least 24 months’ experience working in a finance department.

Do you want to facilitate music sessions that develop musical skills while enhancing communication skills? We are looking for a creative Music Tutor to join our Creative Programmes Team. You will be responsible for planning and delivering music sessions to adults with a learning disability and autistic adults. Music has the power to positively impact our students, from confidence and motor skills to team working and self-esteem.

This role, while based at our Clapham Junction site, will require occasional work at our other sites in Tooting, Brixton, and Vauxhall.

Main responsibilities

• You will develop, plan, and deliver a curriculum of music activities to support students’ learning goals and social development 

• You will develop and source resources for delivery, including making effective use of our state-of-the-art Immersive Learning Space

• You will work collaboratively with the wider Creative Programmes Team to develop our creative offering

Who we’re looking for

• You have experience of providing training or music therapy to adults with a learning disability and/or autistic adults

• Ideally, you are skilled in one or two instruments and able to plan sessions that cover a range of music genres 

• You’re an excellent problem solver with a creative and exploratory approach

• Most importantly, you’re passionate about helping disabled people enjoy more autonomy and you understand how to make this happen

​About the role   

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic supervisor or team leader to take up a full-time role within our organisation as a Operations Supervisor to be part of our small and dedicated team. The role will be based in Southwark as well as potential for wider London working as you will be part several innovative housing projects in London supporting vulnerable households to sustain their tenancies. As well as a team line manager, you will be maintaining and developing partnership with the Council’s housing officers, solicitors, landlords, community services, social prescribers, and mental health support workers to ensure tailored support can be offered for each client. The objectives of these programmes are to avoid evictions, sustain tenancies, increase employment opportunities, improve wellbeing, and increase educational outcomes. You will be working in partnership with other stakeholders such as schools and local authorities to improve family health, build relationships and engage families and individuals and their networks of support.    

About you   

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in staff management and project leadership, knowledge of housing polices, and with proven experience working with individuals who have complex needs. 

You will be responsible for managing and developing partnerships, supporting data collection for reports and monitoring, and contributing to quality assurance processes. In addition, you will hold a small caseload, providing direct, holistic support to individuals as part of your role. 

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and highly organised. You should be confident working independently, with a genuine passion for driving positive change. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to provide holistic support and think creatively to find solutions. 

You will have:

• Experience leading and supervising other support workers, or volunteers, including delegation, training, and mentoring. 

• Ability to monitoring staff performance, and ensuring continuous professional development 

• Demonstratable experience of building and maintaining partnerships with stakeholders, statutory and  community organisations 

• Understanding of housing law, direct experience of working in partnership housing associations, local authorities, homeless organisations and public sector stakeholders  

• Good understanding of policy and procedures related to homelessness, benefits and housing market  

• Experience of organising project delivery and development 

• Experience of writing reports to showcase records and impact 

• Ability to work sensitively and empathetically with people in vulnerable circumstances

Premises Officer/Maintenance Person – Oasis St Martin’s Village

Fixed Term 1 Year Contract, full-time post, 40 hours per week (1 FTE), inclusive of breaks 

Working Pattern: Some shift work may be required (across 7.30am until 9pm)

Salary:  £30,766 per annum (including London Weighting)

 

Premises Officer/Maintenance Person – Oasis St Martin’s Village

Oasis’ mission is to build stronger communities. Oasis St Martins Village is a new and exciting project, working in partnership with other organisations in an integrated way, to provide opportunity and pathways for children and young people.

Our vision is to transform the life-chances of children, who are struggling in or not coping with mainstream education, by offering them and their families support and opportunity.

This role will help deliver the Oasis St Martins Village aims and mission by ensuring the provision of an efficient and effective site and facilities service, aligned with the ethos and values of Oasis St Martin’s Village.

What will you do?

This newly formed role will be embedded within the site management team. To be successful in this role, applicants will be required to:

• Assist the Senior Premises Officer with maintenance tasks as required to ensure a safe and effective working environment. Must be able perform basic repairs (plumbing, carpentry, painting, changing locks etc.)
• Assist with water testing, testing of alarms and other routine tasks as directed.
• Set and un-set the site alarm systems when required.
• Assist with the opening and closing, unlocking and locking of the site gates and buildings, including evening and weekend use.
• Be responsible for the security of the site when on duty including the locking of all doors and windows.
• Assist the events manager with delivery of events, particularly during evenings and weekends.
• Assist with the cleaning of the site as and when needed.
• Assist with room setup and moving of furniture safely. This includes preparing spaces to host events and functions, packing down and cleaning afterwards. And to service ongoing regular lettings.
