The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Breathe London Portfolio Manager to join their team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.   

The Portfolio Manager leads the scoping, management, delivery and monitoring and tracking progress of all Breathe London projects, working closely with the Greater London Authority, Bloomberg Philanthropies and other key stakeholders, as well as ensuring lessons learnt are identified and shared across the wider Breathe Cities programme. The role will also support wider CAF work and grants as and when required. 

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in project, programme, or grant management.

• Experience in working on air quality, or in an area relating to the Breathe Cities strategy (across data, campaign and community engagement, city governance). 

• Strong understanding of the political, social and economic context of London, and its position as a high-profile global city. 

• Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically and to be outcome-focused, with experience working in teams that design and execute strategies on complex issues. 

• Ability to translate programme experience into practical, accessible learning for different audiences, including city governments, civil society partners and internal teams 

• Experience in financial management, including the ability to interrogate grant budgets. 

• Fluent in English and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the successful Mind in Bexley Recovery College team. The Recovery College was formed by Mind in Bexley in 2014 and our purpose is to develop and deliver programmes of self-management, awareness and information sessions for adults with experience of mental ill-health to promote wellbeing and recovery, for their relatives and friends and for professionals working in the London Borough of Bexley.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of mid-value supporters, delivering tailored stewardship, personalised communications, meetings, events and digital engagement that demonstrate impact, strengthen relationships and enhance the supporter experience.
• Design and implement segmented donor journeys and cultivation strategies that move supporters from mass fundraising communications to more personalised engagement, identifying opportunities to increase giving through appeals and special funding opportunities.
• Use donor insight, data analysis and supporter behaviour to monitor engagement and retention, reducing attrition, increasing lifetime value, and identifying supporters with the potential to upgrade their giving and progress towards major donor status.

Personal Specification

• A proven track record in fundraising
• Ability to think strategically to identify potential donors, prioritise efforts and develop effective fundraising strategies. This includes analysing data, assessing donor potential and adapting approaches based on feedback and results.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain donor relationships and understand donor motivations and interests. 
• Excellent written skills with an ability to craft compelling and personalised proposals, with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Confident and comfortable making telephone calls and meeting donors in person as a key part of relationship building and stewardship.
• Strong collaborative skills as a team player, whilst also able to work autonomously initiating and driving tasks as a self-starter.
• Experience using CRM systems and supporter data to drive fundraising performance.

Summary Purpose - what you will be achieving:

The Policy Directorate brings together the Academy’s policy, analysis and external affairs functions to address major science and health policy issues in the UK and internationally. The Directorate works as a single, coordinated team, focusing resources on priority areas, applying strategic approaches, generating high‑quality evidence and insights, and engaging effectively with government, stakeholders and partners to inform decision‑making and influence policy.

You will work in the Academy’s new Analysis Function, which ensures that policy development, external engagement, and rapid response work are consistently underpinned by high‑quality analytical insight. About the role - what you will be doing:

1. Provide expert advice and guidance in support of policy analysis

• Work with the Head of Policy Analysis to develop the Analysis Function’s strategy, operating model, standards, governance and ways of working.

We are looking for a Hostel Support Worker to join our team at a 14-bed, 24-hour hostel, where you will play a vital role in creating a calm, welcoming, and well-managed environment for residents experiencing homelessness.

Working day and evening shifts, you will provide practical, emotional, and safeguarding support to vulnerable adults, ensuring their welfare, dignity, and protection at all times. You will remain alert to risk, respond confidently to incidents or concerns, and follow clear safeguarding and risk-management procedures to keep residents and colleagues safe.

You will hold a small caseload of residents, offering person-centred, trauma-informed key-work support that helps individuals build independence, stability, and wellbeing. This will include encouraging engagement with support services, promoting positive routines, and helping residents work towards longer-term housing and life goals.

Working closely with colleagues across the service, you will:

• Maintain accurate records and case notes

• Communicate clearly with the wider team

• Deliver effective handover between shifts to ensure continuity of care and support

Above all, you will help foster an environment where residents feel safe, listened to, and encouraged, supporting them to move forward at their own pace.

Location: Based within Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC). Unfortunately this service does not have step free access

Salary: £28,800

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week on a rota Monday to Friday, primarily working 09:00 to 17:00 with some shifts working 13:00 to 21:00. You may be required to work outside these hours as per service and resident requirements. This role also includes bank holiday working requirement.

About the Role

We're hiring a Support Mentor to join our team based in RBKC. In this role, you will support residents who have multiple and complex needs including homelessness, mental health, and substance use challenges. 

As a Support Mentor, you will identify individual resident needs, and provide person centred, tailored support to residents to help them overcome their personal challenges and achieve their goals which may involve sustainable living, independence, and overcoming mental health and substance use challenges.

You will do this through a combination of producing tailored support plans, activities, and partnership working. You will support us continue to work in a trauma informed way, and create a psychologically informed environment, which supports us in creating a safe, respectful, and responsive environment which puts our people and communities at the forefront. Join us on our mission to empower independence through trauma-informed solutions and dynamic partnerships that keep people out of prison, out of hospital, and off the streets.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Support residents who may be facing challenges with multiple and complex needs
• Create tailored support plans through one to one sessions, group sessions, and multi agency meetings
• Support residents to build skills and confidence to move towards independent living and overcoming personal challenges
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing, carrying out regular welfare checks, and responding to any incidents or emergencies.
• Support with planning and delivery of activities to engage residents with other people, communities, and opportunities. This may include days out the service and in service activities
• Keep support plans updated on our online portals as appropriate

About You

We're looking for a compassionate individual who understands the needs of our residents which include mental health, substance use, and homelessness. You will be a self motivated individual who is able to be proactive in managing your own time during busy or quiet periods to ensure productivity. You will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and will have alignment with our SIG values. You will be keen to support our residents to achieve their individual goals and support them to be the best versions of themselves. 

• Previous professional or lived experience supporting people who have multiple and complex needs
• Ability to engage with people from different backgrounds, build rapport, and empower them to achieve their personal goals
• Ability to show empathy and compassion and the different challenges people face; ability to come up with creative solutions to support them in their journey
• Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Coach to join our new Independent Approved Premises commissioned by Criminal Justice Service (IAP) on day shifts with a rolling rota. You will support residents recently released from prison in a residential setting, helping them reintegrate into the community. You will work with residents to create tailored support plans, identify their needs, goals, and skills, and motivate them to reach their potential. You will encourage engagement in activities and the community, provide tools for life skills, and ensure effective risk management with a strong focus on public protection. The team work closely with one another and support which achieving overall service KPI's, and you will be part of making a greater change. Everyday looks different so this is perfect for someone who wants a role where no two days are the same. 

Some Key Responsibilities Include:

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times
• Engaging with residents, ensuring they are adhering to their license conditions. This may include planning activities to engage them with other people, communities, and opportunities
• Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for night colleagues for a seamless service
• Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins

About You

We're looking for someone who has a true passion to help make a difference and contribute to providing safer communities for all. You will be comfortable working within the criminal justice setting, and supporting residents to have access to the tools and resources to better enhance their quality of life after their release from prison. • Ability to manage own caseload and determine priorities with time management. Able to use own initiative
• Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours or a good understanding of the sector.
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience
• Understanding and/or practical application of key legislation regarding social care, housing, criminal justice and mental health
• Cultural awareness, Self-awareness, and ability to identify personal growth areas and take feedback

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to join a small, friendly, and dynamic team in a varied role. Within a small team of executive and assistant roles, you will work closely with the two Fundraising Managers (one focused on Trusts and Foundations and the other Corporate Partnerships) and the Development Director to support corporate, trust, foundation, and individual fundraising efforts. In the role you will:

Assist the team across the fundraising function supporting corporate, trust, foundation, community and individual fundraising activities.

Develop and maintain positive relationships internally with colleagues and externally with stakeholders, donors, and funders.

Demonstrate strong organisational skills and reliability, maintaining systems for data management and accurate records of fundraising activities and donor interactions.

Liaise professionally with Warm Welcome Spaces, funders and supporters, acting as a warm and approachable communicator.

Confidently use and manage our CRM system (Beacon) to track donor data and fundraising activities.

Support basic marketing efforts, including creating quality written content such as emails and social media updates, as needed.

Securely store and organise documents on our G-Drive, ensuring accessibility for the team and compliance with GDPR and good fundraising practice.

Support the logistical planning for fundraising and wider team events.

Ensure deadlines are met, prioritising a varied workload and maintaining attention to detail in all tasks.

Take initiative to explore new areas of fundraising and contribute to innovation.

Own and manage delegated tasks or parts of projects, ensuring successful and timely delivery of work.

Essential Skills and Experience

1. Strong organisational and administrative skills with a track record of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

2. Experience in using CRM systems (e.g. Beacon) and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

3. Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with diverse stakeholders.
