Role Overview: 

The Head of Marketing & Sales plays a pivotal role in driving the organisation’s growth. Reporting to our Communications Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering the Communications Strategy, crafting content across a range of platforms including The Pilgrims’ Magazine, our website, newsletters and social media.

Strong writing skills are an absolute must for this role, as is a keen eye for design and high levels of digital literacy. As an adept communicator with excellent attention to detail, you’ll be able to turn your hand to anything, from magazine features to short form videos, keeping abreast of the latest trends.

A natural people person with innate curiosity, you’ll embrace opportunities to visit our care homes and housing schemes and capture the stories of life with us – not just those of the older people who live there, but also those of our brilliant staff and volunteers. You’ll then devise creative ways to share these stories so they connect with our different audiences, from prospective residents to new supporters and beyond.

A self-starter, you’ll need to be able to work independently within agreed brand guidelines and with minimal supervision. You’ll also need to be highly organised, ensuring that deadlines are met and that content lands in a timely manner. Through analytics, you’ll monitor engagement, using these insights to inform our evolving content plan and drive growth.

As well as creating compelling content for our core communications platforms, you’ll also provide valuable support to our ambitious press plan, helping to amplify the voice of Pilgrims’ Friend Society in local and national media.

About IKWRO

IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. IKWRO is a registered charity which provides advice and support to Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan women and girls living in the UK, who have experienced, or are at risk of all forms of “honour” based abuse, including; forced marriage, child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM), or domestic abuse.

We work with women and girls of all ages, including lesbian women, bisexual women and trans women. We offer services in Kurdish, Farsi, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Turkish and English. IKWRO offers free advice, advocacy and counselling services and operates a refuge which provides safe accommodation and specialist support to single women at risk of “honour” based abuse, forced marriage and domestic abuse.

IKWRO also provides training for women and girls to help them understand their rights in the UK. In partnership with other organisations, we assist survivors of abuse with accessing English language classes and education, training and employment opportunities.

As well as supporting women and girls directly, we offer advice and training for professionals from the statutory and voluntary sectors, to better understand the needs of the women and girls we represent, the types of abuse they experience and to provide best practice prevention and support services.

We campaign to increase awareness and improve laws and policies to tackle all forms of “honour” based abuse and harmful practices including; forced marriage, child marriage, marital captivity, female genital mutilation, virginity testing and hymenoplasty, discrimination by sharia courts and to push for better laws and policies to protect women’s and girl’s rights.

The post-holder will be required to work in a confidential setting and provide non directive support to improve mental health and social functioning of women who are experiencing different forms of gender based violence. The post-holder will be professionally trained, accredited and work within the BACP/BPS Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions (2018) or equivalent. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

·Provide a service in line with BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) guidelines or equivalent.

·To support the management team with the strategic development of IKWRO’s counselling services. 

·The provision of effective and high-quality Counselling and Psychotherapy services to IKWRO’s clients through making use of up to date service standards and IKWRO’s Counselling Guidelines.

·To agree a counselling contract with IKWRO’s clients and provide a timely, responsive and appropriate service.

·Carrying out a small one to one clinical caseload and/or depending on the team’s clinical capacity.

·To manage waiting lists according to the level of risk, delivery plans and organisational priorities. 

·To manage the delivery against targets and in accordance with contract requirements. 

·To lead, line manage and develop the counselling services staff as required.

·To do the clinical supervision of Associate Counsellors and trainees.

·Helping clients work towards a deeper understanding of their concerns;

Dyscover is a small, specialist charity providing long term support and opportunities to adults with aphasia, a complex language disability. We are looking for an experienced Business Manager with a strong Fundraising and Marketing background to join our team.

· Experience raising income from a range of income streams particularly Trusts and Foundations also including skills in managing events, individual donors, legacy, corporate and community fundraising.

· Finance and Project management experience.

· Strategic development skills.

· Health, wellbeing, and disability experience within the sector would be ideal.

The Fidelity UK and international Foundations are independent grant-making Foundations, proudly supported by Fidelity International. The Foundations have four Programmes, which focus on supporting high-impact charitable organisations in the fields of: tackling disadvantage among children and young people; health and wellbeing; arts, culture and heritage; and environmental conservation.  Priority regions/countries for the Foundations’ work include: the UK, Republic of Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, India and Australia.

The role:

The purpose of this role is to ensure effective, efficient and accurate day-to-day financial management and financial controls for the Fidelity UK and international Foundations, including leading on management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning and delivering the annual reports and accounts for all four Foundations. The post holder will prepare all finance papers for Board and Finance and Investment Subcommittee meetings and will support the oversight of the Foundations’ investment portfolios. This role will also be responsible for managing all payments made by the Foundations, in addition to ensuring risk and compliance guidelines are adhered to at all times.

The person

The successful applicant will have a detailed knowledge of accounting principles, ideally with experience of the charitable sector, and a strong track record of day-to-day financial management in a comparable role. You will have strong analytical skills and be able to demonstrate both operational and strategic thinking. You will have a proficiency in accounting (with a relevant finance qualification) and will be able to evidence the successful production of annual accounts and monthly reporting, ensuring monitoring against budgets. Additionally, you will have strong analytical and reporting skills, exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication and presentation skills, and hands-on experience of explaining complex financial information clearly and concisely. Finally, you will have a high degree of humility and a collaborative style and will be able to pro-actively manage a diverse workload on your own initiative.

Charity People are delighted to be supporting Tempo Time Credits, a charity that brings people together in local communities to carry out valued and important voluntary work, with their search for a Business Partnerships Manager based in London.

Tempo Time Credits started 15 years ago and is an ambitious movement that empowers, encourages, and engages people from all walks of life, from communities across the UK, to get involved and volunteer. For example, befriending or helping to improve outdoor spaces. Volunteers earn Tempo Time Credits as part of a reward and recognition which can be exchanged for a range of services and activities provided by our local and national partners.

In these challenging times, community support is more crucial than ever. Tempo stands at the forefront having engaged with 40 commissioned programmes, collaborated with 1,500 charities, empowered over 15,000 volunteers, issued over 1 million Time Credits, cultivated 750+ business venues offering rewards, and pioneered the world's first national Time Credit network. Through positive press coverage and support from key parliamentarians, recognition and visibility of Tempo Time Credits is growing across the UK.

Joining a small national team, the Business Partnerships Manager for London will support the London and national Tempo team to expand and deepen the networks of community, public and private sector programmes and to develop new opportunities and partnerships in London.

Key responsibilities:

• Regional Recognition Network Development: You will develop regional recognition opportunities with potential partners, attract a diverse range of regional partners aligned with Tempo funders' objectives, and ensure network variety meets programme and beneficiary needs.
• Lead Generation: You will promote Tempo's work through events and communications, identify and approach new business leads, attend events, present, and network, and coordinate business development enquiries and attend and pitch Time Credits in meetings.
• Management of the London Recognition Network: You will ensure the effective management of the Network, including partner communications and regular network audits, provide leadership for recognition communications, such as newsletters, marketing materials, and social media, contribute to reporting and provide data and evidence, and manage existing partner relationships.
• Support Network Sustainability and Development: You will facilitate local events, trips, and networking meetings, and support innovation, learning, and development across the network.

The Business Partnerships Manager will need to be innovative with ideas and approaches to grow and maintain partnerships. The successful candidate will need to be a good listener and people person as partnerships will be driven by the needs of the volunteers and community members and will have a genuine passion for supporting the development of individuals and organisations. You will be a natural team player to work alongside team members to deliver training and network events and will have excellent and adaptable communication skills. You will have strong reporting and analytical skills to support Tempo to demonstrate their impact within communities.

About the role

Our Surrey Volunteer Recruitment Manager (VRM) works closely with VRMs in Herts and London and our marketing team to promote the MCR programme to organisations and individuals.  The purpose is to recruit committed volunteers who will mentor a young person in their school for one hour a week during term time. Based from home, our VRMs work closely with the wider MCR team ensuring a balance of autonomy and support. Travel to meetings, events and the Hertfordshire office are all reimbursed.

Key responsibilities:

• Recruit volunteer mentors to reach monthly targets  both through engagement in the community and with organisations

• Source and attend in person and remote events to recruit volunteer mentors 

• Clearly communicate the charity's purpose and the benefits to young people and mentors, developing purposeful relationships with prospective mentors and organisations through face to face meetings and presentations

• Work with colleagues to deliver on mentor recruitment plans and share best practice

• Working closely with the VRMs in Herts and London and our marketing team manage effective recruitment campaigns 

• Manage systems to evaluate and assess effectiveness of strategy and practice

About you

• Experience of and expertise in relationship-building on an organisational  and individual level 

• Experience presenting compelling and emotionally engaging information sessions  to stakeholder organisations and individuals
