Job summary:

The Head of Communications, Marketing & Digital is responsible for shaping, delivering, and evaluating the charity’s communications, brand, digital engagement, and marketing activity.

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising & Communications, the postholder plays a pivotal role in growing the charity’s profile, strengthening engagement, and ensuring all communication channels, platforms and content are effective, accessible, and aligned with organisational goals.

In a small charity, this is both a strategic and hands-on role, requiring creativity, strong digital skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key responsibilities and duties:

1. Communications & brand

• Lead the delivery of the charity’s communications strategy to increase visibility, trust and engagement.
• Manage and protect the charity’s brand, ensuring consistency of messaging, tone, and visual identity.
• Oversee and produce high-quality content for website, newsletters, reports, blogs, case studies, and information materials.
• Support the Director in developing campaigns that unite messaging, fundraising, marketing, and advocacy.

2. Marketing & supporter engagement

• Lead marketing activity to grow audiences, increase engagement, increase participation in our services, and support fundraising objectives.
• Work closely with colleagues to create compelling campaign assets, supporter journeys, and integrated marketing plans.
• Develop marketing materials, key messages, and digital assets that support awareness, engagement, service numbers and income growth.

3. Digital leadership

• Oversee the charity’s digital ecosystem, including website, email marketing, social media and CRM integrations.
• Ensure digital content is accessible, user-focused, streamlined and optimised for engagement and conversion.
• Fully review website development and maintenance, including UX improvements, analytics, SEO, and content.
• Oversee data-led insights and dashboards to measure digital performance and inform decision-making.

4. Media & public relations

• Build media relationships and respond to press requests in coordination with the Director.
• Draft press releases, statements, Q&As, and key messages for external audiences.
• Support reactive and crisis communications, ensuring timely, accurate responses and reputational protection.

5. Internal communication & collaboration

• Support effective internal communication, ensuring staff team, Program Facilitators and volunteers are informed and engaged.
• Work collaboratively across teams to gather stories, insights, and content that bring the charity’s work to life.
• Provide guidance and support to colleagues on communications, brand, and digital best practice.

6. Other

• Manage agency and supplier relationships where relevant.
• Stay informed about sector trends and emerging tools that could benefit the charity.

We are looking for an ambitious, experienced and passionate Chief Financial & Operations Officer (CFOO) to join The Lifescape Project, leading the evolution, management and delivery of our financial and operational capacities as the organisation grows.

Our impact as a charity depends on excellent financial management and the efficient provision of supporting operational structures, policies and ways of working. As the organisation grows and diversifies, we need a dedicated Chief Financial and Operations Officer to lead the management and development of these critical functions in close liaison with the CEO. The CFOO will be second in command to the CEO and a key member of the Management Team.

This growth to date and planned future growth requires constant evolution of our financial and operational infrastructure and an experienced hand to guide this process, which is the core purpose of the CFOO role we are seeking to appoint.

We are excited to be hiring for this role, which will be transformational for the organisation, allowing us to develop our approach to financial and operational matters and support the continued growth of our team and impact. The role will act as second in command and will deputise for the CEO when absent. We are therefore looking for a highly capable and experienced finance and operations leader with the vision to ensure that we continue to grow in a sustainable, effective and efficient way.

We currently have a full-time manager and officer in our Finance and Operations team (F&O Team), which the CFOO will be joining to oversee, develop and guide all relevant functions. With the small size of the team at this time, the CFOO will be expected to jump into the detail in some areas. In the short term this will include delivering some of the more complex areas of the F&O team’s work, such as the audit process, multi-year financial planning and legal compliance, with support from other team members and external advisers as appropriate. If we continue to succeed in delivering our growth strategy, the role will progress over the medium term with increasing team size/supervisory duties and reducing involvement in immediate implementation. Remuneration would also increase in line with growth and assuming strong performance in the role.

We are seeking a dynamic, creative and results-driven Fundraising Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for fundraising, relationship-building and supporting the growth of a small charity. As our Fundraising Manager, you will implement our fundraising strategy across multiple channels. Role Mission.

To lead the creation and delivery of Scotty’s new navigating entitlements casework (START) Programme, a single point of contact service designed to support anyone affected by military-connected bereavement. 

This is a hands-on, pioneering role. You’ll help shape the infrastructure, recruit and lead a small squad of caseworkers, and ensure that everyone in the bereaved military community receives compassionate, personalised, and well-coordinated support. 

The key responsibilities of this role are:

Service Design & Delivery 

• Working closely with the Head of Service, lead the operational planning and phased rollout of the START Programme

• Develop and refine service model, workflows, triage criteria, and beneficiary journeys 

• Own the SPOC offer, ensuring clear onboarding, needs assessments, support plans, and follow-up 

• Ensure the service is trauma-informed, inclusive, and responsive to beneficiary feedback 

• Manage your own caseload alongside Programme Head responsibilities. 

Team Leadership & Development 

• Help recruit and then directly support 1 initial caseworker (with potential to grow team in 2027 depending on demand)

• Drafted a training plan for new START caseworkers.

• Launched the new START Programme.

Job Purpose:

The Fundraising and Communications Officer is a vital member of the Membership and Development team, responsible for engaging and communicating with Humanists International's members and the wider public, with a strong focus on fundraising. This role involves developing and implementing communication and fundraising strategies, managing social media channels, creating compelling content, and utilizing AI tools to optimize outreach and fundraising effectiveness, particularly in engaging standard value supporters.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising and Development:

• Develop and implement fundraising plans and campaigns, with a focus on strategies to engage and cultivate standard value supporters, including managing Direct Mail appeals to US Donors

• Create compelling content for fundraising appeals, ensuring alignment with Humanists International's values and mission.

• Analyze fundraising data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, using AI-driven analytics where appropriate to understand standard value supporter behavior.

• Implement strategies to cultivate and steward relationships with donors, with a focus on upgrading standard value supporters, including supporting the In-person VIP Donor Reception

Membership Communications:

• Manage all membership-related communications, including the monthly newsletter, ensuring content is engaging, informative, and promotes fundraising opportunities to standard value supporters.

• Establish and maintain a strong online presence through existing social media accounts (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), with an expectation of minimum 2-3 posts per week.

• Develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement and reach, with targeted campaigns for standard value supporters.

• Actively manage Acquisition Social Media (General), including the creation and management of Adverts on Social Media (Facebook & Instagram) and Google Ads.

• Respond to inquiries and engage with members online, fostering a sense of community among standard value supporters.

• Utilize AI tools to schedule posts, analyze social media performance, and identify target audiences within the standard value supporter segment for fundraising.

Campaigns:

• Invest time and effort in relaunching the "End Blasphemy Laws" campaign, developing engaging content and promoting it across various channels to maximize fundraising and awareness, with specific strategies for standard value supporters.

• Support other campaigns led by Humanists International, contributing to their communication strategies and execution, with a focus on integrating fundraising elements and engaging standard value supporters, including the development and promotion of Petitions (via CiviCRM).

• Support communications for Driving Event Registrations (e.g., World Humanist Congress).

Content Creation and Publication:

• Produce high-quality written and visual content for various platforms, including the website, social media, newsletters, fundraising appeals, and reports, tailored to appeal to standard value supporters. This includes developing Video and Multimedia Content.

• Support the Chief Executive in writing the annual report, ensuring it effectively communicates the organization's achievements and impact to all supporters.

• Lead the launch and ongoing production of a New Humanists International Podcast, and coordinate getting Personnel as Guests on other Podcasts.

• Use AI tools to assist in content creation, including generating initial drafts, optimizing content for different platforms, and ensuring consistency in tone and style, particularly for communications targeting standard value supporters.

Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with the Advocacy and Membership Development teams to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication of Humanists International's work, with a focus on integrating fundraising into all communications with standard value supporters.

• Provide communications support to Young Humanists International, assisting with their campaigns and initiatives.

Planning and Strategy:

• Work with the Chief Executive Officer to develop a comprehensive annual communications and fundraising plan that aligns with the organization's strategic goals, with specific strategies for standard value supporters.

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication activities and make recommendations for improvement, using data and AI-driven analytics to assess engagement and fundraising outcomes among standard value supporters.

Person Specification:

Essential:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences, including standard value supporters.

• Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices, with experience in using social media for fundraising.

Strategy & Service Direction

• Develop and deliver a multi-year operational strategy for the Helpline aligned with organisational goals.

• Represent The Cyber Helpline externally with partners, regulators, law enforcement, funders and the wider sector.

Service Performance

• Lead the day-to-day and long-term operation of the Helpline, ensuring stability, quality, responsiveness and continuous improvement.

• Own and deliver KPIs, SLAs, performance dashboards and quality standards.

• Ensure effective processes, incident response, risk management and signposting and referral pathways.

• Oversee the helpdesk, telephony, triage, case management processes and other service initiatives.

Requirements

Role Mission.

To ensure Scotty’s delivers high-quality, consistent, and scalable support to those affected by military-connected bereavement, by leading all aspects of service delivery. 

You’ll own the structure, systems, standards, and team needed to deliver support across all four Family Programmes (SMILES, SUPPORT, STRIDES, and the planned START programme) and help ensure our support reaches the growing number of families who need us. 

The key responsibilities of this role are:

Programme Operations & Service Infrastructure 

• Overall accountability for the service provided to the bereaved military community. 

• Leading, and working closely with, the Head of each delivery Programme to ensure all activities are impactful and meeting the needs of our community. 

• Mapping and maintaining the full beneficiary journey across all programmes and cohorts (CYP and adult). 

• Developing our first adult focused services and building them in line with the charity’s long-term vision to be supporting more than 25k bereaved people by 2035. 

• Being the link between our service delivery and both internal and external technology partners to ensure our systems match, and meet the needs of, our processes. 

• Alongside our Operations Team, lead the scoping of a full future CRM (Salesforce) rebuild and related beneficiary tech interfaces such as websites, future app development etc. 

• Oversee the design of a 2026 ‘light’ CRM phase to support individual adult service delivery. 

• Ensure that lived experience remains at the heart of our services. 

• Accountability for Safeguarding within the organisation. 

Team Leadership  

• Support Programme Leads (e.g. Heads of START, SMILES, SUPPORT), providing direction and support as well as ensuring clarity of ownership and goals. 

• Create a strong, empowering culture within the service (Families) team, aligned with The Scotty’s Way and shared leadership philosophy. 

• Work with our Head of People to oversee service recruitment and onboarding.

Quality, Measurement & Improvement 

• Define and embed service-level Success Measures (KPIs) across all activities ensuring we know what success looks like for all our activities. 

• Collaborate with the Head of Research & Impact to ensure data collection is usable and meaningful. 

External Partnerships & Collaborations 

• Proactively develop senior-level partnerships with other military and bereavement charities, Armed Forces support organisations, and relevant service providers and stakeholders. 

• Explore and propose strategic collaborations where they strengthen the support we offer to families. 

• Ensure the new START (single point of contact) Programme becomes an active network-builder in the space. 

• Represent Scotty’s externally at events, conferences, meetings etc within the sector.

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

• Act as a key link to Outreach and Fundraising — providing insight and service stories to fuel content. 

• Work with the Ops team to align delivery processes with systems, IT, and compliance. 

• Support bid development and reporting for funders by sharing service insight and outcomes.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

Impact Measurement 

• Develop and maintain frameworks to measure the outcomes of all services and programmes. 

• Ensure Success Measures (KPIs) and qualitative feedback tools are aligned to our Theory of Change. 

• Work with the Families (service delivery) team to embed consistent and meaningful data collection across all services. 

• Design simple, automated reporting processes to reduce manual admin and improve data use. 

Research & Insight 

• Lead internal research projects using beneficiary data, surveys, and feedback loops.

Ashinaga UK is recruiting a Programme Coordinator to support the delivery of the Ashinaga Africa Initiative leadership development programme for African Scholars studying in the UK. As part of a mission-driven global organisation, the coordinator will play a key role in ensuring smooth programme operations, student support, and administrative excellence throughout the annual Scholar cycle. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, and passionate about helping young leaders thrive. The coordinator will work closely with the Programme Manager to streamline processes, support events, maintain essential systems, and strengthen the overall Scholar experience across the year. 

The Ashinaga movement was founded in Japan in the 1960s and has since expanded across the globe, empowering over 120,000 orphaned youth with access to education and support to achieve their full potential. The Ashinaga Africa Initiative was launched 11 years ago with the aim of equipping future leaders for Africa through undergraduate scholarships and leadership development opportunities. Programme Coordinator

• Location: Remote. Candidates must be willing to travel regularly for programme activities and team meetings. 
• Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday with occasional work on weekends or evenings.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Coordination & Operations 

• Support the end-to-end delivery of Ashinaga UK’s annual programme cycle (including university preparation camps, inductions, monthly calls, workshops, summits, and graduation activities). 
• Deliver administrative logistics, schedules, venues, travel arrangements, and programme communications. 
• Coordinate speaker invitations, facilitator briefs, and session materials. 
• Track Scholar attendance, progress and compliance across the year. 
• Draft Scholar-facing policies to support effective delivery of the programme. 

Scholar Support 

• Support Scholars in their academic, personal and professional development through the AAI leadership framework, including check-ins, coaching and progress tracking. 
• Assist in the development, organisation, and delivery of student support programming such as leadership events, workshops, and one-on-one coaching call logistics.
• Support Scholars as they develop their Ashinaga Proposal social impact projects. 

Data & Systems Management 

• Maintain programme records, databases, and reporting tools (including through our Scholar App, CRM, and internal systems). 
• Support the Programme Manager in monitoring programme KPIs and documenting insights. 

Communication 

• Write articles, Scholar profiles, and programme updates for use on the Ashinaga UK website, newsletters, and external reports.

Job Title: Head of Major Giving - Trusts & Foundations and Individual Donors

Reporting to: Director of Fundraising and Development

Location of work: Home based. The post holder will be expected to travel to meet donors, travel to away days and team meetings in London. The role may involve some irregular travel throughout England and Scotland. Expenses will be paid in line with our Travel and Expenses policy. 

Contract type: Ideally full-time, 35 hours per week, 28 hours or 35 hours compressed would be considered.

Contract Length: This is a fixed term contract starting ASAP for 12 months.

Salary: £48,500

JOB PURPOSE    

This is a unique opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role during an exciting period of transformation at Magic Breakfast. As Head of Major Giving (Maternity Cover), you will shape and deliver our strategy for high-value income generation across philanthropy  and trusts and foundations, while embedding a newly merged team and fostering a culture of one unified, high-performing team within Major Giving and more widely as part of Fundraising and Development.  

You will lead a team of five people, line managing and working closely with two Major Giving Leads, empowering them and co-creating a Major Giving strategy that fully seizes the opportunities presented by our refreshed organisational strategy. You will also oversee a well-established Trusts and Foundations portfolio and a group of highly engaged individual donors, maintaining and growing these important relationships whilst helping to provide strategic and targeted support across pipeline development. 

This role offers a chance to make a tangible difference by bringing together two recently merged teams, embedding new ways of working, and setting up structures for long-term success. You will have a dotted-line relationship with the Business Development Manager (Scotland), enabling you to ensure joined-up major giving approaches across the UK and unlock exciting opportunities in Scotland. 

We are looking for a natural relationship-builder with a proven track record of securing six- and seven-figure gifts, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to inspire donors, colleagues, and external stakeholders alike. As part of the Fundraising Leadership team, you will deputise for the Director of Fundraising and Development when needed and collaborate across the organisation to implement, monitor, and adapt our fundraising strategy, maximising the impact of major giving.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an integrated Major Giving strategy covering philanthropy and trusts & foundations with clear objectives and KPIs for income and performance and an embedded review, learn and continuously improve culture.
• Provide strong leadership across the Major Giving team, ensuring delegation and empowerment whilst also setting clear direction that helps to mitigate challenges and unlock and seize on opportunities.
• As part of the wider leadership team, play a key role in ensuring effective delivery of the fundraising strategy, organisational goals and our long-term strategic vision.

• Oversee a collaborative approach to prospect research and pipeline development to ensure a sustainable flow of opportunities, working with colleagues from across the wider department to leverage opportunities for referrals and pipeline development.

• Work across the organisation to package innovative and compelling projects for funding. Maintain a strong knowledge of the organisation strategy, business plan and opportunities for innovation, to identify and build compelling giving propositions, wish lists and a persuasive case for support including non-financial asks. 

• Prepare phased budgets and reforecasts, identifying and recognising opportunities and risks to income in line with activity plans and progress. 

• Work with finance and performance and relevant business leads to manage programme budgets and restrictions. 

• Foster strong communication and collaboration with the Business Development Manager (Scotland), ensuring effective two-way sharing of insight, alignment on donor and funder relationships, and joined-up approaches to national and devolved opportunities.
