About the service: Door of Hope, East London
Door of Hope supports women who sell sex in Tower Hamlets through advocacy, information, emotional support and practical help. The service works alongside women at their own pace and is supported by a committed volunteer team delivering street outreach in Tower Hamlets on Thursday mornings and Friday nights.
About the role
Beyond the Streets is a UK charity with over 20 years’ experience partnering with women in the sex industry to support safety from coercion, violence and abuse. We provide trauma-informed, person-centred support, specialist training, and resources shaped by research, lived experience and practitioner insight.
This psychotherapy service was developed because many women supported by Door of Hope need flexible, accessible therapeutic support that mainstream services may not be able to provide. Since its introduction, the service has demonstrated meaningful positive impact, supporting psychological and behavioural change for women experiencing multiple disadvantage.
Based at our offices in Tower Hamlets, you will provide women-centred psychotherapeutic support to women with complex needs through in-person, online, telephone or blended approaches.
At times, you may meet women in local cafés, hostels or other community settings to build relationships, establish trust and offer brief therapeutic interventions.
You will work alongside a small Door of Hope daytime support team and service manager to manage risk, coordinate support, and help women access appropriate services across the borough.
Who are we looking for…
We are seeking a compassionate, non-judgemental practitioner who recognises each woman’s strengths and can work safely within gender-informed, trauma-informed and safeguarding frameworks. You will bring experience of complex trauma, multiple disadvantage and multi-disciplinary risk management, alongside a strong commitment to extending the reach and impact of this work.
Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR)
This role will work alongside women involved in survival sex, survivors of sexual exploitation and women with lived experience of violence against women, and is therefore restricted to female applicants only under Section 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
All roles are subject to proof of eligibility to work in the UK, satisfactory references, and a DBS check.

Doing Good Recruitment is proud to be partnering with Cornerstone Place on the appointment of an Operations and Project Coordinator.
At Cornerstone Place, we are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our growing team at an exciting stage of our development. This is a rare opportunity to work directly alongside our Co-Founders, helping to build and scale a multi-award-winning social enterprise tackling one of the UK's most urgent social challenges: the shortage of genuinely affordable homes for people in the greatest housing need.
The role is offered on a permanent basis, with flexible remote working and occasional travel for partner meetings, site visits and sector events across England.
Who We Are
Cornerstone Place is a multi-award-winning social enterprise with a bold ambition to transform how social housing is delivered in the UK.
We exist because too many people lack access to safe, stable and affordable homes. Through our Impact First Social Housing® model, we create 100% social housing with 0% profit, ensuring homes and the long-term value they generate remain focused on social impact rather than financial extraction.
Working in partnership with local authorities, charities and asset-locked housing providers, we develop homes that are environmentally sustainable, designed for long-term community benefit and built to support the people who need them most.
As we enter our next phase of growth, we are looking for someone who wants to help build an organisation capable of creating lasting systemic change.
The Role
Working closely with both Co-Founders, the Operations and Project Coordinator will play a key and highly varied role across strategy, project development, partnerships, operations and organisational growth.
You will help progress new housing projects, support strategic partnerships, conduct research and analysis, contribute to thought leadership activity and assist in developing the systems and processes that enable Cornerstone Place to scale its impact.
This is not a traditional support role. It is an opportunity to become a key contributor within a small and entrepreneurial organisation, gaining first-hand experience of how a mission-led organisation is built while helping drive meaningful work forward.
Day-to-day, you might be researching a new housing opportunity, preparing briefing materials for local authority partners, supporting partnership development, analysing policy changes affecting the sector, attending meetings with stakeholders, or helping design and improve the internal systems and AI-enabled tools that support our work.
As your experience grows, you will be encouraged to take ownership of projects and workstreams, helping turn ideas into action and strategy into measurable impact.
We understand that the areas of focus are somewhat unique to Cornerstone Place and that finding someone with direct experience across all elements of the role is unlikely. As well as appropriate experience we will also be evaluating applicants based on a wider set of criteria. We are looking for someone with values aligned to ours, a demonstrable ability to learn and implement new skills, the right attitude and a desire to get behind our mission. Your supporting letter (see below) will be critical in this regard.
About You
You are intellectually curious, highly organised and motivated by the opportunity to tackle complex social challenges.
You enjoy moving between strategic thinking and practical execution, are comfortable working in environments where priorities evolve, and are proactive in identifying ways to create progress and solve problems.
We are particularly interested in people who demonstrate:
You do not need previous experience in housing to be successful in this role. We are open to candidates from a wide range of professional, educational and personal backgrounds.
You may be an early-career professional seeking exceptional development opportunities, or someone looking to apply transferable skills to a role with meaningful social impact. What matters most is your potential, values and commitment to our mission.
Our Commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
Cornerstone Place is committed to equitable and inclusive recruitment. We actively welcome applications from all sections of the community, regardless of age, disability, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, sexuality or socio-economic background.
We believe diverse perspectives help create better solutions to complex social challenges and strengthen our ability to deliver meaningful impact.
We recognise that great candidates do not always meet every requirement listed in a job description. If this opportunity excites you and you believe you could contribute to our mission, we encourage you to apply.
How To Apply
We are partnering with Doing Good Recruitment on this campaign. Please click Apply to submit your up-to-date CV and a one page supporting letter following these guidelines.
In no more than one page, please outline why you would be keen to work at Cornerstone Place and what you could bring to the role. Where possible, please provide some examples across the following areas.

Join BrainWaves at an exciting stage of growth and help build the sustainable income behind our ambitious plans to improve young people’s mental health.
This is a rare opportunity for a proactive fundraiser to take real ownership of a growing fundraising programme, working with experienced specialists while broadening your expertise across trusts, major donors, corporate partnerships and individual giving.
About BrainWaves Research
BrainWaves Research is a charity working to improve young people’s mental health and wellbeing through research, education and collaboration.
We bring together scientists, educators, schools and young people to build a stronger understanding of adolescent mental health and translate evidence into practical support. Our work combines a major longitudinal research study with evidence-based educational resources for schools.
BrainWaves is a long-term collaboration involving the University of Oxford, Swansea University and The Day News & Media. We are entering an exciting stage of growth and are looking for a proactive and versatile Fundraising Manager to help secure the sustainable income needed to achieve our ambitions.
The opportunity
You will lead the day-to-day delivery of fundraising across trusts and foundations, major donors, corporate partnerships and individual giving, developing new opportunities as well as managing and growing existing relationships.
The role may particularly suit someone with strong experience in one area – most likely trusts and foundations or high-value giving – who is ready to broaden their expertise across a mixed portfolio.
You will work particularly closely with our fractional Fundraising Director, who will provide strategic direction and support, as well as experienced specialists in major gifts and events, senior volunteers and colleagues across BrainWaves.
This is a hands-on role with significant autonomy. We are looking for someone proactive, ambitious and organised who enjoys turning strategy into action, building relationships, improving systems and hitting targets. Above all, you will be passionate about our mission to improve young people’s mental health.
Key responsibilities
Fundraising and income growth
Work with the Fundraising Director and COO to deliver BrainWaves’ fundraising strategy and annual income plan.
Manage and grow a pipeline across trusts and foundations, major donors, corporates and individual giving.
Research and develop new prospects, partnerships and sustainable income opportunities.
Prepare compelling cases for support, grant applications, proposals, presentations and donor communications.
Take ownership of agreed income targets, deadlines and activity plans, monitoring performance and forecasting income.
Manage funder and supporter relationships from initial approach through to reporting and stewardship.
Major donors, corporates and supporters
Work with the Fundraising Director, trustees, senior volunteers and specialist advisers to identify, cultivate and steward high-value prospects.
Build relationships with companies whose values and interests align with BrainWaves and develop appropriate partnership opportunities.
Help develop our individual-giving programme, including appeals, regular giving and supporter journeys.
Manage and improve our use of JustGiving and other digital fundraising platforms.
Support donor and cultivation events, including prospect identification, communications and follow-up.
CRM, data and fundraising operations
Take day-to-day ownership of BrainWaves’ CRM, ensuring supporter, prospect, donation and relationship records are accurate and up to date.
Improve how the CRM is used for pipeline management, reporting, segmentation, stewardship and task management.
Establish clear and consistent processes for recording and using fundraising information.
Produce regular pipeline, income and forecasting reports and use data to identify opportunities, gaps and risks.
Ensure information from JustGiving and other platforms is captured and followed up appropriately.
Maintain high standards of data protection, fundraising compliance and data quality.
Collaborative working
Work closely with the Fundraising Director and experienced freelance specialists in fundraising strategy, major gifts and events.
Collaborate with colleagues across communications, research and operations to develop strong fundraising propositions and materials.
Support trustees and senior volunteers in their fundraising activity.
Attend occasional meetings and events, primarily in Oxford and London.
About you
You will be a confident and proactive fundraiser with strong experience in at least one income stream and an appetite to broaden your expertise.
You will be a persuasive communicator and excellent relationship builder, comfortable managing multiple prospects, deadlines and priorities. You will enjoy working in a small, evolving organisation where initiative is valued and will be effective working independently from home while staying closely connected to the wider team.
Most importantly, you will be motivated by ambitious targets and genuinely excited by BrainWaves’ mission.
