About Free From Harm

Free From Harm is our training programme on obstetric violence, birth trauma, informed consent, respectful maternity care and rights-based practice. It supports maternity professionals and related practitioners to recognise harm in perinatal care, understand how discrimination and power shape people's experiences, and strengthen safer, more respectful and more accountable practice.

The opportunity

As Free From Harm grows, we are building a pool of trusted freelance facilitators to co-deliver the programme to participant groups across England.

This is a self-employed contractor opportunity, offered on an assignment-by-assignment basis from August 2026. The day rate is £250. In addition, facilitators may earn affiliate commission of 20% of the relevant booking value where a booking is directly attributable to them through an agreed referral or sales route. This gives facilitators with existing networks in maternity, midwifery, NHS, public health or related sectors the opportunity to increase their earnings beyond the day rate. Any commission arrangement will be confirmed in writing.

Joining the pool does not guarantee minimum work or continuing engagement. Each assignment will be agreed in advance, including dates, location, preparation expectations and fees.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for facilitators who can hold complex, emotionally honest and sometimes challenging conversations with care, clarity and courage.

You may have come to this work through facilitation, maternity advocacy, midwifery, doula work, clinical education, community organising, activism, public health, reproductive rights, lived experience or another route entirely.

We are especially interested in people who bring:

• Knowledge of obstetric violence, birth trauma, informed consent and respectful maternity care
• Understanding of trauma-informed practice and psychological safety in group settings
• A genuine anti-racist, anti-discrimination and intersectional approach
• Experience facilitating groups where difficult, activating or sensitive material arises
• Confidence naming harm, power, coercion and structural causes clearly and directly
• Co-facilitation experience, including joint planning, delivery and debrief

You do not need to have followed a traditional professional route. We value lived experience, community knowledge, advocacy and activism alongside formal training and professional experience.

SCM is looking for a recent graduate to spend a year working with us to help us to continue to build on the work of our successful Faith in Action project. 

Run in partnership with Project Bonhoeffer, a small charitable trust, the project began in 2012 with a vision that Christian students in Britain would have a greater awareness and understanding of Bonhoeffer’s radical approach to faith and discipleship, and its implications for Christian living in the modern world. 

The project has helped to run over a dozen campaigns from Food Poverty to Peace, and had an immeasurable impact on thousands of students through blogs, resources, and relationships. All of this is bringing to light many ‘Bonhoeffers’ of today negotiating the implications on Christian living in the world.

In 2021, we began developing the Faith in Action project as a graduate scheme, employing two graduates a year to work on the project; one to lead on theology bringing a depth of learning and theological refection, and the other to be a campaigns lead, taking us always back out into the world to make a difference. Now moving forward as a combined theology and community organising role, the Faith in Action Project Worker will equip our members, and students beyond SCM, to become theologians and campaigners, putting their faith into action to change the world.

We are looking for a passionate graduate to join the project for the 2026-27 academic year.

In this role, you will be a theologian to make other theologians, and will provide the framework for students to be able to reflect theologically on their life and modern Christian living. You will be responsible for growing the breadth of SCM’s Faith in Action resources, and discovering new ways of connecting with the current membership via the trends of social media or engaging in face-to-face reflections. An activist to make other activists, you will coordinate social action for SCM, engaging the membership in social justice projects that maximise our impact in society and the world.

You will work to build relationships between SCM communities and members to equip students with the skills they need to become faith-filled agents of social and political change and lead them in theological reflection to discern their involvement in local and national campaigns. You will also work to develop relationships with other Christian social justice and campaigning organisations to create opportunities for students to put their faith into action. In all of this, you will be supported by our small but perfectly-formed team, who will share your values and fully understand your aims in this project.

The role will require some travel within Britain, as well as semi-regular visits to the office in Birmingham, which may also include an overnight stay. All reasonable expenses for travel and accommodation will be reimbursed. Some evening and weekend work may be required for which time off in lieu will be given.

You’ll focus on creating and maintaining a broad range of content to support and promote CCLG’s extensive range of activities, including research, our professional membership activities, health information for patients and families, influencing and policy work, and fundraising. You’ll work with teams across the organisation to identify opportunities to create content, ensuring it is engaging, of a high quality, on brand, and that it helps the organisation to meet its objectives.

We’re looking for a user-focused champion of great content, with strong organisational skills, who’ll use their own initiative and ability to manage a varied workload. Beyond your technical skills of producing high-quality content, you’ll have great interpersonal and communication sills, allowing you to build great working relationships across departments within CCLG and with key stakeholders, including our professional members and those with lived experience of children and young people’s cancer.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with an expectation of two days per week in our Leicester office.

Digital Fundraising Officer - 12-month Maternity Cover

The Veterans' Foundation is entering its second decade with a clear ambition to build a more sustainable, diversified and data-led fundraising model. Following ten years of rapid growth driven primarily through lottery acquisition, the organisation is now evolving its approach to strengthen supporter engagement, improve retention and maximise fundraising performance across a wider range of income streams.

This role will play an important part in that transition. As the Foundation launches a new website, develops its use of Salesforce and strengthens its supporter communications, the Digital Fundraising Officer will help deliver effective digital fundraising and engagement activity across multiple channels. The postholder will support campaign delivery, manage digital content and platforms, and use data and insight to improve performance and supporter experience.

Principal Duties

The main duties of the Digital Fundraising Officer are:

· To plan, create and deliver fundraising, supporter engagement and stewardship communications across digital channels including email, website and social media

· To manage content across the Veterans' Foundation website, ensuring it remains accurate, engaging, accessible and aligned to fundraising and organisational priorities

· To support delivery of integrated fundraising campaigns across digital channels, helping to maximise income, engagement and supporter retention

· To use Salesforce and other digital systems to support campaign delivery, audience selection, reporting and data management

· To coordinate digital activity with external agencies, suppliers and partners, ensuring work is delivered to agreed standards and timescales

· To monitor and report on digital fundraising and engagement performance, using insight to support continuous improvement

· To contribute to the development, testing and optimisation of digital fundraising activity, supporter communications and online donation journeys

· To support fundraising products and appeals through appropriate digital marketing activity

· To manage relationships with supporters and donors through digital channels, ensuring a positive and engaging supporter experience

· To contribute content, stories and case studies that demonstrate the impact of Veterans' Foundation funding and inspire support

· To support fundraisers with appropriate digital materials, assets and resources

· To maintain awareness of digital fundraising, supporter engagement and charity sector best practice and identify opportunities to improve performance

Person Specification

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

· Experience of working in a digital fundraising, communications or marketing role

· Experience of managing and creating content for digital channels including email, websites and social media

· Experience of managing website content using WordPress or a similar content management system

· Experience of using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce

· Experience of monitoring and reporting on digital campaign performance

· Excellent written communication skills with the ability to develop clear, accurate and compelling content for different  audiences

· An understanding of charitable giving and the factors that motivate people to support charitable causes

· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

· Good analytical skills and the ability to use data and insight to inform decision-making

· A high level of digital literacy, including experience of digital platforms, fundraising tools and reporting systems

Woodgreen is looking to appoint a full time Supporter Relations Executive to cover a 12 month maternity cover to help to grow the engagement, loyalty and value to Woodgreen by ensuring that our supporters always feel valued and know the difference they are making to pets and people across the UK.  Working as part of a small but busy team you will be the first point of contact for the charity through the management of the supporter email inboxes, donation phone lines and post, the successful candidate will also look after the administration and processing of donations and will be responsible for maintaining accurate database records and providing personalised communications.

In addition to this our Supporter Relations Executive will;

• Maintain the fundraising database, and other CRM platforms, so that all supporter details are complete, accurate and up to date in order to comply with GDPR regulations.
• Administer the Gift Aid Programme ensuring Gift Aid declarations are accurately recorded and scanned to maximise Gift Aid income and compliance with HMRC rules and regulations.
• Work collaboratively and positively across the charity, building close working relationships with colleagues to ensure knowledge and key information is shared and obtained so all enquiries received can be answered with accuracy, confidence and professionalism.
• Be responsible for processing and fulfilling supporter requests for fundraising materials such as, Money Boxes and Fundraising Packs so supporters receive the information requested in a timely manner in line with service level agreements.

To be considered you will need to have;

• Significant administration and data entry experience.
• Significant customer service experience in a multi-channel environment.
• Significant working experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Database.
• Demonstrable experience of effective communication at all levels across an organisation.
• Detailed understanding of Data Protection principles and legislation.
• The ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage your workload to meet deadlines.
• The confidence to use your own initiative when dealing with customer enquiries or complaints.

This is a full time hybrid position working 37.5 hours per week and it is expected that the successful candidate will spend approximately two to three days per week at our Godmanchester site.

The starting salary for this role is £27,300 - 29,426 per annum depending on experience. This is complemented by;

A brand-new weekly lottery is at the heart of these plans, and we are looking for a Lottery & Raffle Campaign Manager to help us launch it — and shape the future of fundraising at Woodgreen.

This is a rare opportunity to launch a charitable lottery from the ground up. You’ll work closely with our External Lottery Manager (ELM) and lead Woodgreen through to our first weekly draw. Alongside the lottery, you’ll take ownership of our raffle programme — which has just gone through a successful transformation and continues to grow — and bring the two products together into one thriving gaming programme.

You will:

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of our Weekly Lottery, from setup and compliance through to launch and beyond.
• Manage Woodgreen’s relationship with the External Lottery Manager, ensuring the programme runs compliantly and effectively.
• Take day-to-day ownership of the raffle programme, building on its recent transformation and growing it as part of an integrated gaming offer.
• Project manage direct marketing campaigns across direct mail and digital, from briefing through to evaluation, using data and insight to optimise performance.
• Partner with our Acquisition team on player recruitment across Face-to-Face, paid media and other channels.
• Ensure full compliance with Gambling Commission regulations, the Gambling Act 2005, LCCP obligations and Fundraising Codes of Practice.
• Support budget setting, monitoring and evaluation, interrogating results to inform future campaigns.

Bringing significant experience of managing a charity lottery or raffle programme, alongside substantial experience of developing and delivering direct marketing campaigns you will have strong project and budget management skills, and a detailed working knowledge — or a real appetite to build one — of large society lottery compliance, including responsible gambling and marketing rules.

Above all, you will be genuinely analytical, comfortable working with data, confident interrogating campaign results, and skilled at spotting the patterns that drive better decisions. You will use insight to challenge assumptions — including your own — and to keep raising the bar on what your campaigns deliver.  Organised and comfortable juggling multiple priorities, you will be a confident communicator at ease briefing agencies and working across teams, someone who cares about doing things properly: brand, compliance and supporter experience all matter equally.

This full time, permanent opportunity will operate in a hybrid working environment and although much of it can be done remotely our successful candidate must be able to attend our offices near Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire (PE29 2NH) for an average of 1-2 times per month dependent on business need.
