Speech and Language Therapist

We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist (term time + 3 weeks only) to join a multi-disciplinary team which provides educational support to children and young people, their families and local schools.

About the Role

The Speech and Language Therapist at the Education Hub will provide specialist assessment, intervention and support for children and young people affected by the Grenfell Tragedy. The therapist will conduct comprehensive assessments using evidence-based tools, including formal standardised assessments, observational analysis and dynamic assessment approaches to evaluate speech, language and communication needs.

You will:

• Work on a 1:1 and group basis with children and young people and provide a high level of expertise to develop students’ speech, language and communication skills.
• Give advice, information and support to enable parents/carers and schools to promote the development of speech, language and communication skills.
• Work with families to equip them with the knowledge and skills to create supportive home environments that meet their child’s specific needs.
• Work in close liaison with the Occupational Therapist and the rest of the team to ensure efficient and effective management of children identified with speech, language and communication needs.
• Comprehensively assess children and young people to help identify difficulties in expressive and receptive language, social communication, fluency, and speech sound development, ensuring targeted and effective intervention.
• Produce detailed reports with clear actionable recommendations to inform support plans and guide effective therapeutic and educational strategies, ensuring interventions are tailored to each child’s specific speech, language, and communication needs.
• Develop Speech & Language Therapy training packages, policies, and programmes to parents, carers and professionals.

About You

You will have:

• UK qualified status and registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) with a license to practice.
• Registered member of Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists
• Trained in Hanen, Elklan, Let’s Talk or VERVE Child Interaction (or a willingness to attend training)
• Extensive knowledge of principles in effective working with families and schools and application to practice.
• Experience of operational caseload management for children with a speech and language need.
• Extensive knowledge of appropriate assessment and therapeutic interventions relevant to the client group.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Culturally competent, with an understanding of diverse family contexts and the ability to tailor interventions accordingly.
• Skilled in trauma-informed practices with a focus on supporting children and families affected by adverse experiences.

About the Organisation

The Grenfell 'Education Hub' opened last year to serve those most affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy. The hub provides a safe, restorative and relational education support to children and young people, their families and local schools.

A consultation process in 2023 and 2024 about the needs of the community and the bereaved and survivors led to proposals for an educational ‘hub’.  This comprises a wide range of professionals including four specialist teachers, an Educational Psychologist, a Speech and Language Therapist, an Occupational Therapist, a Careers Specialist, and a Family Support Practitioner. Their time will be divided between direct work with children and families in the ‘Hub’, and support for local schools.

The Role

Reporting to the Associate Director of Legal and Governance, the Legal and Governance Business Partner will lead on the provision of support to the charity’s staff and volunteers on all legal and governance matters.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Advising on legal issues relating to the charity’s activities, including reviewing a variety of contracts, such as fundraising contracts and contracts for goods and services.
• Advising on the legal aspects of tendering for commissioned services from NHS bodies and local authorities, including advising on procurement matters and NHS Model contracts.

About You

You will have:

• A valid practising certificate as a solicitor/barrister and 4 years’ minimum post qualification experience, preferably including relevant experience advising not for profit organisations.

• Excellent prioritisation skills.

Senior Project Lead

We are looking for a Senior Project Lead to help shape the future of responsible sourcing in the global tea sector.

Position: Senior Project Lead - Data and Industry Alignment

Location: London/Hybrid (minimum 3 days/week in office)

WWT is the charity for wetlands.

This is a critical role in the recently restructured Operations Directorate at WWT. As Assistant Director, you will be directly responsible for the performance of our 7 Wetland Discovery sites. You will provide inspiring and professional leadership to your teams, whilst proactively collaborating cross organisation and externally.

This includes helping our partners to design high-quality research projects, delivering them, and providing systems and tools for data collection, reporting and impact benchmarking.

The Opportunity

We are excited to be recruiting for a Principal Director to lead commercial growth within our Evaluation practice. This is a new role within the practice.  Reporting to our Group Directors and / or a Managing Director of IEE (subject to future appointment), the Director will work as part of a practice leadership team that will oversee all aspects of the evaluation team’s work, with a focus on leading business development. Our partnerships encompass education organisations such as charities, edtech organisations and government, and schools and multi-academy Trusts. Across all our partnerships, we aim to design and deliver high-quality research and evaluation projects that help our partners make better decisions for children using good evidence.

You will provide strategic leadership, represent the organisation both internally and externally, and be responsible for driving the commercial performance of the practice. This role will sit alongside a Principal Director focused on the delivery of our partnerships, and our Director of Research.

The role will focus on partnerships and business development, ensuring that ImpactEd Evaluation is positioned well as first port of call for schools and social purpose organisations. You will lead a number of sales and marketing campaigns, develop key propositions for our partners, scan and respond to relevant tenders and work closely with a team of evaluation experts to ensure we are able to continue to bring accessible expertise to our work and partners.

The role would be ideal for a candidate with deep understanding of the education sector, a track record in business development, and the ambition to shape the direction of a growing social enterprise.

The General Manager will provide leadership and day-to-day operational management for the Natural Voice Network, ensuring smooth running of its activities and services. They will have delegated authority to make operational and financial decisions (within agreed limits) on behalf of the NVN and its Trustee Board, enabling trustees to focus on governance, strategy, and long-term development.

AVP Britain (AVPB) is one of multiple independent branches which operate around the globe. As our Regional Building Surveyor, you'll manage our Retail Division's property portfolio in the South East region, spanning 220+ leasehold shops and stores.

Your region will cover the South East, of England including parts of East Anglia, London and the home counties, Southampton and east along the coast.

You’ll deliver a full range of building surveying services, both reactive and planned maintenance, including:

• leading diverse projects, from essential repairs to rejuvenating refurbishments and exciting fit-outs
• managing contract and tender documentation
• fulfilling CDM duties, including being Principal Designer
• conducting Planned Preventative Maintenance inspections
• overseeing building maintenance
• performing acquisition and disposal surveys
• offering dilapidations advice
• building strong relationships with stakeholders

About you

To be successful in this role, you'll:

• possess a professional building/construction management qualification (MRICS, MCIOB) or significant demonstrable experience in retail building surveying
• have sound technical knowledge of all legislation relating to the fit-out and occupation of leasehold retail premises (Building Regulations, Planning, CDM, Fire Safety Order, Health & Safety, and Asbestos)
• be a highly effective team player with strong interpersonal, influencing, and decision-making skills. 
• have extensive experience in all key aspects of traditional building surveying disciplines, including:
  - acquisition and disposals surveys
  - health and safety
  - defects analysis 
  - maintenance inspections and management of remedial works
  - coordinating with stakeholders, including contractors and consultants
  - access audits 
  - building pathology
  - dilapidation's

It would be advantageous if you have specific experience in developing and maintaining a large retail estate.

​Working arrangements

This is a field-based role working from home with travel throughout South East England, primarily your regional patch (as explained above), though periodically extending across the country. You will be required to live within the region.

Travel will be based on current project work and the need to visit various sites in project. You will be able to manage your diary accordingly to enable this. There will be overnight stays as required (on average, this would typically be 2 nights a month).
