Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and alongside the Strategic Partnerships and Trusts teams, you will be responsible for setting clear plans, developing effective fundraising approaches, and ensuring strong systems, processes and supporter experiences are in place to drive sustainable income growth.

You will lead the delivery and development of community fundraising, challenge events, individual giving through community activity, and in-memory fundraising. A key part of the role will be developing a clear and engaging events and fundraising volunteer offer, including an effective induction process that enables volunteers to fundraise confidently on behalf of Bipolar UK.

This role requires a thoughtful, organised and people-centred manager who understands how to balance ambition with compassion in a mental health charity context.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic leadership and planning

• Develop and deliver a clear community and events fundraising strategy aligned with Bipolar UK’s wider fundraising and organisational goals.
• Translate strategy into achievable annual plans, income targets and team objectives.
• Use insight, data and evaluation to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Work with the Director of Fundraising to forecast income, manage risk and maximise return on investment.

2. Community and events fundraising delivery

• Lead the planning, delivery and growth of a portfolio of community fundraising initiatives and challenge events, both in person and online.
• Ensure a consistently high-quality supporter experience across all community and events activity.
• Oversee web content and digital resources to support community and event fundraising
• Identify and develop new fundraising opportunities that align with Bipolar UK’s mission, values and supporter base.
• Act as an ambassador for Bipolar UK at key events when required.

3. Volunteer fundraising offer

• Develop a clear, accessible and motivating events and community fundraising volunteer offer.
• Design and implement an effective volunteer induction process, ensuring fundraisers feel confident, supported and well-equipped.
• Work with colleagues to ensure volunteer fundraising activity is aligned with safeguarding, wellbeing and organisational policies.

4. Digital campaigns and income growth

• Lead on the planning and delivery of digital-led community and events fundraising campaigns.
• Work collaboratively with Marketing and Communications colleagues to develop supporter journeys, content and communications that drive engagement and income.
• Develop approaches to grow connected income streams, including regular giving and in-memory giving, through community and digital activity.
• Monitor performance, assess impact and report clearly on outcomes and learning.

5. Supporter experience and stewardship

• Ensure supporters are stewarded with care, empathy and professionalism, recognising the personal connection many have to bipolar.
• Oversee thanking, updating and re-engagement activity to build long-term supporter relationships.
• Ensure accurate and compliant use of the CRM and fundraising data.

6. Team leadership and organisational contribution

• Line-manage and support the Fundraising Officer and Supporter Engagement Assistant, providing clear direction, coaching and development.
• Create a positive, supportive and high-performing team culture focused on impact and learning.
• Oversee income and expenditure for the community and events portfolio, monitoring budgets and performance against targets.
• Contribute to organisational planning, cross-team working and the development of efficient systems and processes.
• Evaluate performance and produce insight-led reports to support decision-making and improvement.

Essential Criteria

• Significant experience managing community and/or events fundraising, with a track record of achieving income and engagement targets.
• Experience of line-managing staff and leading a small team to deliver effectively.

• Experience of managing budgets and reporting on performance and impact.
• Demonstrable experience of digital fundraising and use of online fundraising platforms.

Contract: Permanent, Part-Time

About the role

The Regional Communications Officer role is an exciting and varied opportunity to work with Emmaus communities across the South of the UK, helping to raise their profile and engage supporters.

You will work closely with up to four Emmaus communities to identify their communications needs and deliver a mix of activity to help them achieve their goals. As part of a wider team, you will also share ideas and build on each other’s experience to maximise PR, digital and communications opportunities.

This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from home or from within an Emmaus community.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders will be key to this role. Pro Bono Community is seeking a Training and Volunteer Coordinator to help us achieve greater access to justice.

Pro Bono Community is a registered charity that has developed specialised training programmes for students, trainees and lawyers covering the practical skills involved in delivering free legal advice and areas of social welfare law. In conjunction with the training, the charity arranges and manages volunteering placements at Law Centres and other advice agencies. The charity’s activities include a number of grant-funded projects which the coordinator will be heavily involved in.

About the role

Pro Bono Community is looking for a Training and Volunteer Coordinator to help us run programmes aimed at improving the amount and quality of access to justice by training law students and others and then placing them to work as volunteers at advice agencies.

The Training and Volunteer Coordinator will report to and work alongside the Director to undertake work supporting the charity’s activities with a focus on recruiting and training students and lawyers and then coordinating volunteering placements for them at Law Centres and advice agencies. The role also includes administrative work relating to a pioneering digital advice clinic the charity runs in conjunction with a Citizens Advice agency in London.

This is a full-time role with a salary of £31-35,000 depending on experience and the charity is seeking to appoint someone with knowledge of training and the legal/advice sectors and/or experience in a similar role. Occasional weekend work may be required. The role will involve working from home with some travel involved to London and elsewhere in support of the charity’s activities. Shine supports a community of over 15,000 members living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, including 5,000 children and young people (0–25).

You will be delivering high-quality support and creating opportunities for children and young people living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their families/carers. Supporting Shine members to lead healthy, independent, and fulfilling lives by improving condition management and fostering connections within the Shine community. 

This role will focus on children and young people (0–25), you will be primarily working within the Children, Young People and Families team. However, there will be occasions when you will work across age groups to ensure the best outcomes for our members. 

The role is home-based but you will be required to attend regular clinics in London including GOSH (Great Ormond Street Hospital). We are looking for an all-round Communications Manager to join our small team.  You'll be able to build on your existing experience with some exciting upcoming projects that will have direct impact on the head and neck cancer community – as well as generating awareness across the general public.  We have a unique opportunity to develop our organisation to create maximum impact for head and neck cancer patients and their families while staying true to our origins.  There’s a lot of work to do.

Main responsibilities and duties:

• Contribute to a PR and communications strategy in conjunction with our Executive Director.
• Produce and rollout a new brand identity for the organisation.
• Manage and develop a new organisation website.
• Maximise media opportunities by identifying news angles and producing stong stories.
• Produce high quality materials – written, digital and visual – to promote the organisation and engage audiences to action.
• Use case studies and impact to develop our storytelling and create compelling copy to encourage financial support.
• Oversee literature production to support head and neck cancer patients and their families through their experience and work towards PIFtick accreditation.

Dataro are looking for a Customer Success Manager to help grow their presence across the UK charity sector. This is a role focussed on providing excellent client satisfaction to the post holders UK and Europe based charity and not for profit portfolio. You will spend your time meeting clients, following up on queries and IT tickets, and supporting them in a consultative way to get the best impact from Dataro. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities to deliver great customer service and maintaining great channels of communications.

This is an exciting opportunity to join GamCare as we continue to expand and develop our Online Support Services. To support this expansion, we are seeking an Online Support Team Leader to oversee and lead a growing remote team delivering vital digital support to individuals affected by gambling harm.

The role 

You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and development of GamCare’s Online Support Services, which currently include online appointments, email support, chatrooms and forums, and a self-guided online support programme.

You will lead a remote team of Online Support Practitioners within the wider Helpline service, ensuring consistent, safe and effective support is delivered across all digital channels.

Key responsibilities 

·Managing the daily operational delivery of Online Support Services, ensuring high-quality support and adherence to agreed KPIs

·Providing line management for Online Support Practitioners, including supervision, team meetings, rota planning, and managing leave and cover

·Advocating for and promoting Online Support Services internally and externally to improve accessibility and awareness

·Supporting the ongoing reporting and evaluation of GamCare’s Online Services

·Identifying opportunities for service development and contributing to the design and implementation of improvements

About you 

This is a key leadership role for someone with experience delivering support services to vulnerable or complex individuals, alongside experience of supervising, coaching, mentoring or managing staff or volunteers. You will also bring a strong commitment to person-centred, non-judgemental practice.

You will be a confident communicator, comfortable working collaboratively across the Helpline service, and able to balance operational leadership with empathy, support and clear decision‑making – particularly when managing complex or high‑risk contacts.

Strong IT skills are essential, including experience working with digital platforms, CRM systems or call-handling tools.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join our Leeds Team supporting children and young people diagnosed with cancer.

We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality support tailored to the needs of the children and young people and their families. The work we do is rewarding but also complex and demanding. You will be part of a close-knit Young Lives vs Cancer social work team, working with an established NHS multi-disciplinary team and services in the community.

This role is predominantly site-based with an element of occasional working from home as agreed with the line manager. Your contractual base will be both Home and Hospital.

The Financial Wellbeing Coach is a new post that will play a key role in strengthening the financial resilience of nursing and midwifery professionals. Working directly with individuals, the post holder will help Nurses, Midwives, Nursing Associates, Healthcare Assistants and Maternity Support Workers to build financial literacy, develop budgeting skills, set realistic financial goals, and improve money management. The role combines one-to-one coaching with group workshops and digital support, helping people to gain confidence in managing day-to-day finances and planning for their future. The post holder will work collaboratively with the Head of Services and Impact and the wider Cavell team to ensure our financial wellbeing support is impactful, accessible and evidence based.

This is a 2-year fixed term post, 15 – 18 hours per week. It can be home based or hybrid, although we would expect visits to our Redditch office at least once a month.

Main Responsibilities

Financial Coaching and Support:

• Deliver one-to-one financial wellbeing coaching to eligible beneficiaries.
• Support individuals to improve financial literacy, budgeting and goal setting.
• Help beneficiaries to develop practical money management strategies.
• Provide non-judgmental advice, education and encouragement to build financial confidence.
• Work with individuals experiencing financial hardship, vulnerability or stress with sensitivity and professionalism.

Workshops and Resources:

• Design and deliver group workshops / webinars on financial wellbeing topics.
• Contribute to the development of tools, guides and digital content to support financial education.
• Tailor materials to the needs of Nurses, Midwives and healthcare support staff across different career stages.

Service Delivery and Impact:

• Maintain accurate records of coaching sessions and outcomes using Salesforce.
• Contribute to monitoring, evaluation and reporting to demonstrate impact.
• Work closely with the Head of Services and Impact to refine the service based on insight and data.
• Ensure all support is delivered in line with Cavell policies, safeguarding procedures and best practice.

Partnership and Collaboration:

• Signpost individuals to specialist external services where appropriate (e.g. debt advice, benefits advice).
• Build positive working relationships with internal colleagues and external partners.
• Represent Cavell in relevant forums, networks or events as required.

Person Specification

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Experience of providing financial wellbeing, money guidance, coaching or advice.
• Strong knowledge of personal finance topics (budgeting, debt, savings, benefits, cost-of-living management).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage empathetically with individuals facing financial difficulty.
• Experience of delivering one-to-one support.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage workload independently on a part-time basis.
