MCKS Charitable Foundation UK is an ambitious and rapidly growing charity supporting schools and communities across the UK through school pantry programmes, breakfast clubs and wider wellbeing initiatives that help children and families experiencing food insecurity.
We currently support around 180 schools nationally, with a long-term vision to expand to 500 schools and beyond.
As part of this exciting growth phase, we are investing in two of the charity’s first full-time paid roles to help build the next stage of MCKS’ fundraising, partnerships, impact and operational infrastructure.
The Corporate Partnerships & Fundraising Manager will work very closely alongside our Schools, Community & Impact Manager, with both roles playing a key part in helping shape the future growth of the charity.
Together, these roles will help strengthen supporter engagement, develop partnerships, improve impact reporting, increase fundraising income and expand the charity’s national reach.
This is a genuinely hands-on opportunity to help build something meaningful from the ground up. Whilst significant growth and development is already underway, the charity is still evolving its infrastructure, systems and processes. We are therefore looking for someone who enjoys working within a growing environment and is excited by the opportunity to help shape and build new ways of working.
This is not a role for someone who only wants to sit behind strategy documents.
We are looking for someone who can think strategically whilst also being willing to roll their sleeves up and deliver — someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, driving activity forward and helping turn ideas into tangible results.
About the Role
Working closely with the charity’s leadership, trustees and Schools, Community & Impact Manager, you will help develop and deliver a diversified fundraising and partnerships strategy that supports the charity’s ambitious growth plans.
This is a varied, fast-paced and hands-on role where you will focus on developing corporate partnerships, securing fundraising income, supporting campaigns and events, and helping strengthen the charity’s fundraising infrastructure for future growth.
Alongside longer-term relationship building, we are keen to see visible fundraising activity, momentum and new opportunities generated within the first year.
We are looking for someone who enjoys making things happen — someone who is proactive, delivery-focused and comfortable balancing strategic thinking with practical implementation within a growing charity environment.
As the charity continues to evolve, this role will also contribute towards shaping systems, processes, partnership approaches and supporter engagement activity from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Partnerships
- Identify and develop partnerships with corporate organisations aligned with the charity’s mission
- Secure financial support from businesses
- Develop partnership proposals and sponsorship opportunities
- Build and manage long-term relationships with corporate partners

Fundraising & Income Generation
- Identify and secure fundraising opportunities across corporate partnerships, community fundraising, events and trusts

About You
We are looking for someone who is:

MCKS Charitable Foundation currently supports around 180 schools across the UK through its school pantry programmes and breakfast clubs.
Through strategic partnerships, fundraising and community engagement, this role will help expand that support to 500+ schools nationally, helping thousands more children and families access essential food support through their schools.

Legacy Case Officer
Salary: £30,255 - £37,732 per annum
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Downton, Salisbury, SP5 3RB and other UK locations as needed)

You’ll be playing a vital role in our legacy fundraising, taking responsibility for a wide variety of legacy cases, and ensuring we receive funds to support veterans and their families to live well after service.

About the Role
Legacies are key to our work at Help for Heroes. It is thanks to our generous supporters that we can continue providing practical help and hope to veterans and families across the UK. We wouldn’t be able to continue without them.
The Legacy Case Officer is key in ensuring we will receive these gifts. The role has responsibility for almost half of our legacy income, covering a significant number of non-contentious residuary, specific and life interest cases.
It involves a high degree of autonomy as you will help protect the charity’s income and reputation through sensitive case management, and acting within the limits delegated. You will be supported throughout by your colleagues and manager, with additional learning & development available.
This role is remote to ensure we can recruit the best candidate, but with an expectation to be able to travel occasionally to our Head Office or London for meetings
About You
You have first-hand experience of dealing in legacy administration, capable of dealing with a variety of charitable gifts and matters. It is not essential to have knowledge of resolving contentious cases, but you are able to identify which may require additional support.
You will be experienced in Charity Legacy Administration with a ILM qualification (CiCLA or Diploma) or relevant experience from the charity or legal sector.

To support the delivery of effective and dynamic public and food bank facing support services. Ensuring that food banks have the technical support and information to work and report effectively and that people facing hunger or hardship receive compassionate and practical advice. Responsible for answering public and food bank enquiries, providing technical support to food banks to ensure the delivery of high-quality services that support the network to work towards an end to the need for food banks in the UK.
This role is part of Trussell’s Food Bank Resilience programme, the goal of which is to support every food bank to develop and sustain the core offer of a warm welcome, food and advice for every person, for as long as their services are needed, while orienting their organisations towards an end to the need for food banks. Role responsibilities
Responding to customer enquiries
Respond to calls and emails from the public, food banks, and referral agencies, ensuring each person receives accurate and timely information to support their ongoing journey. This includes providing details of local food banks and other food‑aid providers, signposting to relevant national and local agencies, replying to emails, answering phone calls, responding to complaints, and directing customers to the appropriate teams or resources so they can operate confidently and access the support they need for their current situation.
Supporting Volunteers
Provide support to our Support Team Volunteers ensuring they have a positive experience volunteering for Trussell and are well-equipped to respond to incoming enquiries. This includes managing rotas, supporting training and regular team meetings, leading on volunteer recruitment and providing ongoing recognition. Additionally, monitoring the wellbeing of volunteers throughout their shifts, providing support after difficult calls and promptly responding to their queries. Co-ordinate, advise on and implement offers and pilot projects
Co-ordinate, advise on and implement projects that support the ongoing development of the Public Support Line and the delivery of offers and pilot projects to food banks. These projects will be driven by insights and user feedback and include establishing new systems and ways of working to ensure the phone line is relevant, supportive and in line with Trussell values. This also includes coordinating and communicating offers and pilot projects to food banks, sharing clear and timely information, gathering and responding to queries, co-ordinating participation, and ensuring updates and requirements are communicated in accessible ways. Provide technical support
Provide technical support to food banks and referral agencies to enable efficient use of systems and tools provided by Trussell.
