We are seeking an exceptional, relationship-driven Philanthropy Lead to build and scale a high-
impact fundraising function for a growing organisation at a pivotal stage of its development.
This is a hands-on, frontline role for someone who thrives in a start-up environment and is motivated
by execution over theory. You will lead the delivery of a 5-year philanthropy strategy, with a primary
focus on individual giving and ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), alongside foundations,

Working with teams across the UK, Europe, southern Africa and the US, and in close partnership with
a Chewore Conservation Trust (CCT) based in Zimbabwe, you will play a critical role in securing the

Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Revenue Generation
Lead the execution of a 5-year philanthropy strategy, with a strong emphasis on major gifts
and individual giving
Personally cultivate, solicit, and close six- and seven-figure gifts
Build and manage a robust pipeline of UHNWIs, high-net-worth individuals, and
philanthropic partners across the UK, EU, and US
Secure significant funding to support organisational growth and long-term sustainability
Develop and implement creative, innovative fundraising approaches to engage new and
existing donors, particularly at the high-value level
Relationship Management
Operate consistently at the frontline, building deep, trusted relationships with donors and
prospects
Lead all aspects of moves management—from identification and cultivation through to
solicitation and stewardship
Leverage and expand existing high-value networks, with proven access to UHNW circles
Design and deliver bespoke donor journeys and engagement opportunities
Foundation & Infrastructure Building
Establish and scale the organisation’s fundraising infrastructure, systems, and development
operations
Build processes to support donor acquisition, stewardship, reporting, and long-term
engagement
Collaborate closely with leadership to align fundraising with programme delivery and impact
Partnerships & International Engagement
Develop and manage relationships with UK trust and Swiss Foundation trustees
Expand fundraising reach and partnerships across UK, European and US philanthropic

Work closely with the Zimbabwe-based CCT to ensure authentic, community-led storytelling
and donor engagement
Represent the organisation at high-level events, private briefings, and international forums
Communications & Proposals
Work closely with the Head of Communications and Zimbabwe-based Communications Lead
to coordinate and manage all donor communications and updates
Co-develop compelling, high-quality fundraising materials, including tailored proposals,
impact reports, and donor updates
Ensure consistent, authentic storytelling that reflects community impact and resonates with
high-value donors
Align communications strategy with fundraising priorities to strengthen engagement and
conversion
Events, Innovation & Acquisition
Lead the development of high-impact, creative donor experiences and events to engage and
acquire new supporters
Introduce innovative approaches to fundraising, including curated experiences, strategic
partnerships, and non-traditional engagement models
Drive strategic donor acquisition through networks, partnerships, and targeted outreach
across key global markets
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a highly driven, entrepreneurial fundraiser who combines credibility at the
highest levels with a bias for action.
Essential Experience
Proven track record of securing six-figure+ gifts, including from UHNWIs
Demonstrated success in major gifts fundraising and individual giving programmes
Experience operating in a start-up or high-growth environment, building fundraising
functions from the ground up
Strong experience with moves management and donor lifecycle development
Experience fundraising in UK and globally
Evidence of developing creative or innovative fundraising approaches that drive results
Desirable Experience
Background in Africa, international development, conservation, or community-led initiatives

What you’ll do
You will develop and deliver high‑quality mental health and wellbeing training, in Welsh and English, to school staff across Wales, including leading the Strategies for Safety and Wellbeing (SSW) programme. You will provide ongoing implementation support to schools, collaborate with colleagues to design evidence‑based learning materials, contribute to Welsh‑language development plans, and deliver training both virtually and in person. What you’ll bring
You will be bilingual (Welsh and English) and demonstrate knowledge of the needs of autistic students and those with social, emotional, or mental health difficulties. The ability to foster safe and supportive learning environments to diverse groups (including education professionals, practitioners and parents/carers and young people) is important for this role.
Essential requirements:
- Postgraduate‑qualified mental health professional and professional accreditation (e.g., HCPC, BACP, BPS, BPC, BABCP).
- Extensive experience supporting children and young people in mental health or leading wellbeing in education settings.
- Written and spoken Welsh and English language skills, with proven ability to design and deliver high‑quality training.
- Confident IT user, including Zoom and Microsoft Office suite (particularly presentation and training interaction tools).
- Strong understanding of UK education and mental health systems, including safeguarding and CYP service pathways.
- Willingness to travel across Wales/UK (including overnight stays) and take most annual leave during school holidays.
Key details

Position Title: Senior Lead Climate Coalition

The Advocacy Academy is an activist youth movement. We serve as the political home for grassroots youth organising and the catalyst for collective action. The lives of the young people we work alongside have been directly shaped by living in an unjust world, and we exist to turn their anger into action.
Young people are often the catalysts for major social change, from the Student Non-violent Coordinating Committee at the heart of the Civil Rights Movement, to the Soweto Uprising mobilising young people to resist the apartheid regime's education policies, to the Sunrise Movement redrawing the electoral map across America, and more recently encampments and protests across the world protesting the genocide in Palestine. How successfully they achieve real and lasting change depends on whether they are organised and whether they have the right strategy and tactics to be effective.
We want youth organising to be enshrined in the UK for generations to come, and for young people to have tangible political power to influence national policy. That’s why we have launched two national coalitions, one around climate, and the other around gender. Each will train organisations across the country to become youth organisers and work together to bring 100 young people together to identify the strategy and tactics needed to achieve change. These young leaders will organise others and work collectively to build a campaign which shakes the status quo.
We want youth organising to be enshrined in the UK for generations to come, and for young people to have tangible political power to influence national policy. Each will train organisations across the country to become youth organisers, and work together to bring 100 young people together to identify the strategy and tactics needed to achieve change. These young leaders will organise others and work collectively to build a campaign which shakes the status quo.
We are looking for a Senior Lead Climate Coalition who believes in this vision and is capable of building the leadership in youth workers and young people alike that enables them to turn the resources they have into the power they need to make the change they want. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
1. You will coordinate our climate Coalition – Roots to Rise. You will be accountable for the development and delivery of our Climate Coalition Programme; Roots to Rise, including but not limited to:
- Coordinating efforts to set the strategic direction and priorities for the Programme, working primarily with the Director of Programmes and Partnerships and Associate Director of Partnerships, and in connection with others that need to feed into the programme.
- Proactively build relationships with our coalition partners. This involves:
- Holding regular 1:1s and relational meetings that strengthen our connection, supporting partners to identify and act on their developing political interests, and ensuring they meet coalition milestones.
- It also includes providing ongoing support around campaigns and community organising, enabling partners to lead and deliver local actions following the Summer Camp.
- Lead the Youth Steering Group. This involves:
- Providing strategic oversight and facilitation of the Youth Steering Group, ensuring consistent engagement, strong attendance, and meaningful youth voice throughout the programme.
- Setting clear agendas, supporting members to contribute confidently, and ensuring insights are captured and translated into programme design and delivery.
- Working closely with partners to maintain alignment and ensure the group reflects the diversity and needs of the young people Roots to Rise serves.
- Lead the development of the Summer Camp (15th - 19th August 2026), ensuring availability across these dates:
- Work closely with the Associate Director of Partnerships to oversee the delivery of the Roots to Rise Summer Camp, ensuring all elements are well-coordinated, high-quality, and aligned with programme outcomes.
- Take ownership of key logistics, including timelines, partner coordination, and on-the-ground delivery, ensuring a smooth and inclusive experience for all participants.
- Support and enact mechanisms to capture learning and feedback throughout, ensuring insights are gathered effectively to inform real-time improvements and future iterations of the camp.
- You will ensure that Roots to Rise runs like a well-oiled machine by pulling in the right people at the right time to ensure key milestones are met:
- Coordinate and maintain a suite of behind-the-scenes systems, processes and resources to keep things running like clockwork and provide transparency and help build trust
- Coordinate the holding of safeguarding, risk management standards and ensure Health and Safety standards are met.
- Maintain the clear monitoring and evaluation frameworks for your work which allow you and your team to learn, test, and re-test as you build, in partnership with young people and other partners
- Hold the budget for the Roots to Rise Programme, ensuring that all activities are run within financial targets, working closely with the Director of Programmes and Partnerships and Associate Director of Partnerships to maintain oversight, identify efficiencies and potential savings, and proactively flag any risks or opportunities that may impact delivery or budget adherence.
2. You will support our wider partnerships work. Support the Associate Director of Partnerships to deliver our overall partnerships strategy. This will include, but is not limited:
- Working closely with the Senior Lead for Gender Coalition to identify opportunities for collaboration and reducing duplication
- Work closely with the Programmes, Organising and Campaigns, and Community teams to develop training on organising and campaigning.
- Deliver ad hoc workshops and meetings, holding space effectively and designing and delivering creative learning journeys for young people.
3. You will a key member of the Programme Team, including but not limited to:
- Support efforts to set the strategic direction and priorities for the Programmes Team each financial year.
- Support the Director of Programmes and Partnerships and Associate Director of Partnerships with the management and mitigation of organisational risks presented by the Coalition by escalating issues in a timely manner and contributing to effective problem solving.
- Contribute to the delivery of wider organisational programmes beyond Roots to Rise, including providing support to initiatives such as Ignite and other internal programme delivery as required, ensuring alignment with team priorities and organisational goals.

The hard work of getting policy or legislative change enacted in the areas we work on is often dry and technical: to convince an official in the government that one policy solution is better than another requires a lot of nuanced debate, evidence production, and thinking about implementation. We aren’t expecting you to do that, but…
Success in policy is not just about the details of the policy. It’s about whether society wants that policy to be enacted. And that is where you come in.
One of the ways policy communication falls down is because it isn’t political enough. It often only speaks to elite audiences (because it’s only been designed for them.) That goes wrong when that policy meets the real world. We’re looking for someone who wants to make sure that the policy recommendations our clients want to enact are communicated in a form that people will buy.
The job
We’re looking for a social media hot shot. You’ll have an instinctive sense of what will (and won’t) work on various platforms. You’ll have that instinct because you’ve done it all before, by creating content for an organisation or campaign (or for yourself!) We want weird, atypical, challenging; someone who will push the boat out.
We are not looking for the stereotypical and generic social media content that you see most places publishing. And we are not looking for someone to put a prompt into AI and publish the output.
You’ll be using your content creation skills on campaigns to change legislation, on organisational social media accounts to make them stand out from the ‘blob’, and quite possibly on Cast from Clay’s own channels.
The kinds of people that thrive at Cast from Clay are intellectually curious, are open to challenge, and care about the details. Most importantly, they prize clarity of thought. In today’s world we are overwhelmed with information and content. Knowing what they think and being able to explain why is, to our minds, one of the most important skills of today.
It’s worth saying that we don’t care what your political views are, as long as you have some–the team has a mix of views.

You will have:
- A strong understanding of how each social platform works. You will be familiar with audience engagement, community management, and platform algorithms.
- Experience in using tools to track, analyse, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to determine content effectiveness and inform future strategies.
- Skills to develop and publish high-quality, engaging content (text, image, video) across socials, often utilising scheduling platforms. The content has to be tailored to distinct brand voices.
