As the M365 Engineering Lead within Cadet Digital Services, you will play a central role in designing, developing and improving the CadetNET Microsoft 365 environment that supports tens of thousands of cadets and volunteers across the United Kingdom.

You will lead the M365 Squad and guide the technical direction of the CadetNET platform, ensuring it remains secure, governed correctly and aligned with Defence and public sector standards. As a part-time role within a small charity, the postholder will need to carefully prioritise income-generating opportunities alongside stewardship and relationship management. In year one, a key focus will be establishing effective donor pathways through the rollout of our new CRM, ensuring supporters experience clear and meaningful journeys with the charity. Alongside this, the Senior Fundraising Manager will assess and determine which early opportunities for growth should be prioritised. While areas such as community fundraising, digital campaigns and regular giving are likely to offer early potential, the postholder will lead decisions on where to focus effort and investment to generate the strongest returns.

• Leverage and optimise existing community and public fundraising activity to increase income and supporter numbers.

• Use CRM data and financial information to track performance, analyse trends and adjust strategy as required.

Data & impact

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including ICO guidance, GDPR and the Code of Fundraising Practice.

Purpose of the post

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will support the Associate Director of Finance to provide insightful analysis of financial trends and oversee the recoverability of funds.

They will coordinate the month-end process and work with Finance Business Partners to coordinate the quarterly forecast and the 2026/27 budget.

They will also act as Finance Business Partner to a number of teams, working closely with Budget Holders and external partners to provide effective management of resources and risk, and monitoring of quarterly partner reporting.

Main responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis element of role (60%):

• Coordination of month-end process: overseeing the month-end checklist and coordination of FBPs; production of monthly management accounts using JET reports
• Coordination of quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting across cost centres and funds: preparation of forecasting templates; coordination of FBPs; upload and review of forecast onto finance system
• Coordination of long-term (high level) forecasting across all cost centres and funds to end of current Core Funding cycle
• Oversee the cost recovery process of new and existing funds (overhead recovery and monitoring of funding gaps)

Finance Business Partnering element of role (40%):

• Work with Budget Holders to manage financial performance, forecasts, and budgeting including understanding financial opportunities and risk for the area of business partnership.
• Provide donor reporting and analysis as required to funders of specific programmes.
• Consolidation of quarterly partner reporting

Experience

• CCAB qualified with a minimum of 5 years practical experience in financial analysis or business partnering roles

Desirable

• Experience of fund management
• Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Experience of JET reports 
• Experience in the academic or scientific research sector
• Experience working with UKRI and/or Research Councils
• Experience of funding under Full Economic Costing (FEC) model
• Experience of managing stakeholder relationships within an academic or not-for-profit environment

We are recruiting for a dedicated Legacy Officer to join our Finance team and be responsible for the administration of the legacy income process. Reporting to our Finance Business Partner, you will take ownership of the recording of our legacy income, an important area of growth for Mary's Meals.

Key responsibilities

• Set up records and create case files on Salesforce for all legacy bequests received from solicitors and from notifications of bequests on the Smee and Ford website.
• Record the details of all legacy bequests in the case file on Salesforce.
• Set up a SharePoint folder for the notified legacy bequests.
• Upload all legacy documentation received into the legacy case files on salesforce and into the SharePoint folder.
• Respond to the solicitor or personal executor acknowledging the legacy bequest, thanking the next of kin on behalf of major giving and requesting any further documentation.
• Raise tasks on the salesforce legacy case files as a reminder to follow up with the solicitor or the personal executor as to the progress of the legacy administration.
• Correspond in a timely manner with solicitors and personal executors to enquire into progress of the legacy administration.
• Throughout the legacy administration process update the legacy case files with notes of the correspondence with the solicitor or personal executor.
• On receipt of the legacy income complete the documentation requested by the solicitor and close the legacy case file on Salesforce.
• Escalate any issues identified to the Finance Business Partner Income.
• Review the open legacy case files with the Finance Business Partner Income and follow up on actions raised.
• Highlight any improvements/enhancements to the legacy process to the Finance Business Partner Income.
