The programme is seeking an ambitious, experienced and highly organised Programme Co-ordinator to lead the delivery of the Pride in Place Programme in Immingham & Habrough . This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in coordinating a community-led regeneration programme, ensuring local voices are at the heart of decision making and helping to create a lasting legacy for the area.

The successful candidate will provide visible place leadership, supporting the Neighbourhood Board to develop and deliver a 10-year Regeneration Plan and a 4-year Investment Plan. They will oversee programme governance, stakeholder engagement, project management, financial monitoring and compliance with government funding requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating the development and submission of the Pride in Place 10-Year Regeneration Plan and 4-Year Investment Plan.
• Supporting and servicing the Neighbourhood Board, including governance, reporting and administration.
• Acting as a Place Leader, fostering collaboration across communities, organisations and sectors.
• Managing programme delivery, ensuring compliance with Government guidance and funding requirements.
• Leading community engagement activities and ensuring residents are central to programme development.
• Developing project plans, risk registers, reporting systems and performance monitoring frameworks.
• Supporting procurement processes and the commissioning of consultants, contractors and delivery partners.
• Managing budgets, financial reporting and audit requirements in partnership with the local authority.
• Building and maintaining productive relationships with government departments, local authorities, community organisations and other stakeholders.

The successful post holder must have:

• A degree-level qualification, professional qualification (Level 4-5) or equivalent relevant experience.
• Significant experience of leading complex programmes, projects or partnerships.
• Experience of stakeholder engagement, partnership working and community consultation.
• Strong programme and project management skills, including risk management and reporting.
• Experience of budget management and financial accountability.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders.
• Knowledge of grant-funded programmes and governance processes.

Do you take pride in creating safe, welcoming homes that make a real difference in young people’s lives?

Our Maintenance team works across multiple properties to give our residents a good quality, safe home, working closely with project staff to identify repairs required, make repairs, undertake ad hoc cleaning and decoration, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and to make empty homes ready for re-occupation.

We have sites across East Sussex, centred around our Foyers in Eastbourne and Hastings. These services provide 24-hour supported housing for young people aged 16–25, offering low to medium levels of housing-related support. There are homes throughout East Sussex for young people we continue to support into independence via our Transitional Housing teams, these are typically larger shared houses of four to eight residents sharing some communal facilities such as bathrooms and kitchens. In total there are approximately 180 residents in East Sussex that the maintenance team oversee.

A key part of the role involves redecorating empty homes to prepare them for new residents. This work must be completed promptly, to an agreed and consistent standard, and with clear communication to site and maintenance teams to ensure properties can be relet within void target times.

East Sussex Transitional Housing is a low-support service, providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for 98 young people between the ages of 18-25 who have been, or are, at risk of homelessness. We have a small, supportive, and established team which manages 18 housing properties across, Eastbourne, Bexhill and Hastings. We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures.

You will be based at the YMCA office in Eastbourne but will be visiting our 7 properties around Eastbourne each week, meeting with residents in their homes and at the office.

Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing and Compliance

• Support young people to understand and comply with their occupancy agreements, including coaching them to meet house rules and responsibilities as part of preparing for successful independent living.
• Promote a strong rent‑payment and credit culture, encouraging residents to maintain regular payments and understand their financial obligations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and statutory requirements affecting young people, ensuring practice aligns with current housing law and organisational policies.
• Respond promptly and effectively to breaches of agreement, including rent arrears, antisocial behaviour, or property damage, using restorative approaches where appropriate and working collaboratively with the wider team.

Coaching and Engagement

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community.
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance).

Hastings Foyer provides medium-high supported accommodation for a total of 47 young people at risk of homelessness, aged 16 to 25, and care experienced young people under the age of 18. The service offers self-contained accommodation with access to shared communal facilities, helping young people build the confidence and skills needed for independent living. Support includes managing finances and budgeting, developing life and employment skills, and maintaining personal wellbeing and self-care.

We have a dedicated team of Support Workers, Night Support Workers and Bank Workers who provide consistent, high-quality support to our residents. We take a trauma-informed and psychologically informed approach, empowering young people to develop essential life skills, identify and achieve personal goals, and build the confidence needed to progress towards independent living and a positive future.

Located just off the seafront, the service is well connected to local amenities and has strong links with the wider community, actively encouraging residents to engage with and contribute to community life.
