You will help clients navigate complex systems, access available support, and improve their financial wellbeing during a difficult and often overwhelming time. Through compassionate and holistic advice, you will empower people affected by cancer to make informed decisions, build confidence, and feel supported throughout their cancer journey.
The ideal candidate will provide advice and support in person, via telephone, email and video call to patients undergoing treatment for cancer. Macmillan Project Caseworkers will assist clients with complex welfare benefits and housing enquiries. This requires a good foundation knowledge of each advice area, so competence in these subjects is desirable, but full and ongoing training will be provided to support successful candidates in their professional development.
This is a challenging role, managing a demanding caseload and working with people at every stage of their cancer journey. The Link Worker will take referrals from the PCN’s practices, and from a wide range of external agencies, and through self-referrals. They’ll work with people to identify issues that affect their health and wellbeing and co-produce a simple personalised care and support plan that connects them to non-medical community-based activities, groups and services that meet practical, social, and emotional needs.
This is a challenging role, managing a demanding caseload, working to strict quality standards and playing a full part in multi-disciplinary team of health and social care professionals. Key responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced relationship-led fundraiser to grow high-value support, develop major donor relationships and help drive ambitious income growth.
Salary: £40,000-£44,000pa

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced major donor, philanthropy or partnership fundraiser to take a leading role in developing high-value relationships for a national Christian charity tackling poverty across the UK.

Assist clients to identify needs against benefit criteria, navigate complex processes, and provide practical support via a range of channels, including home visits and community settings
Respond to enquiries through a range of channels and areas based on service need, managing an active client caseload while keeping accurate, up-to-date online client records in line with practice guidelines
Recognise and respond to potential safeguarding situations using established procedures

Our General Advice Team covers a range of different projects, giving advice over the phone, virtually, face-to-face or in outreach locations. The post holder will need to be self-motivated, organised and flexible, delivering generalist level advice and information.
The role involves advising on all areas of general advice, assisting with the completion of paper and digital forms and making referrals to internal or external services. The post holder will need to be digitally aware and be able to record all client contact and outcomes as well as make referrals electronically.
