Founded in 1860, Providence Row is a specialist homelessness charity working in East London and the City, deliberately operating at the most acute end of the homelessness spectrum.
The charity reaches around 1,200 individuals (annually) with the most deep-rooted needs; people whose interlinking mental and physical health, and trauma and substance use challenges mean they often struggle to access mainstream support. Providence Row provides a wide range of Crisis and Progression services including showers, meals, advice & support, health and wellbeing services, drug and alcohol harm reduction, psychotherapy, a hospital discharge service, and learning, training and work-readiness programmes, amongst others. In 2025/26, we supported 1,270 people through 36,313 tailored interventions.
About this role
We have some ambitious income targets over the next few years to help deliver our bold plans in support of our increasing numbers of complex and vulnerable clients.
If you have experience of delivering against an annual fundraising target of up to, or exceeding, £150k and want to help more people experiencing homelessness to have access to vital, and, often life-changing, services like our award-winning physical and mental health programmes, then we can’t wait to hear from you so you can tell us more about how you meet the criteria detailed in the Job Description and Person Specification, enclosed with this Job Ad.
There are many opportunities for the right candidate to develop in the role while working independently and as part of a committed team by using your excellent creativity, written, verbal and persuasion skills to secure and steward partnerships with existing and new supporters, alongside the Head of Philanthropy, and wider fundraising team.

Community and Events Fundraising Officer
North London Hospice has been caring for local people since 1984, providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care to people with life-limiting illnesses across Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, and increasingly within Camden and Islington. Our services are completely free of charge however it now costs more than £16m a year to run our charity. We rely on the generosity of our community through donations and our shops to make up the shortfall in funding.
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Community and Events Manager, you will play a key role in growing income through community fundraising initiatives and delivering an exciting and expanding portfolio of events. This varied role combines creative promotion of fundraising opportunities, excellent supporter relationship management, and the planning and coordination of successful events. No two days will be the same, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
Community Fundraising and Events
· Support the Community and Events Manager to develop and deliver a portfolio of community fundraising activities and fundraising events.
· Provide guidance and support to individuals, groups and organisations fundraising for the Hospice, helping them maximise income and deliver successful activities.
· Coordinate event logistics, participant communications and administration to ensure a positive supporter experience.
· Maintain accurate records of fundraising activity, event participants and supporter engagement on Raiser's Edge.

Marketing and Promotion
· Work with the Community and Events Manager and Communications Team to promote fundraising activities and events.

Role Purpose
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation of multiple projects run by Bassetlaw Foodbank (BFB). They will be required to deputise for the CEO, ensure compliance is followed, that BFB’s premises are well maintained and all projects have what they need to operate on a daily basis.

Bassetlaw Foodbank was established in 2012 to tackle food insecurity across the district of Bassetlaw. About the role
Hours: 26 hours a week. We envision working across regular days (Tuesday to Friday) throughout the week, with some flexibility required on occasion.
Salary: £19,438 pro rata (£28,041 FTE equivalent)
Location: The role will be based at Bassetlaw Foodbank’s office in Worksop, but regular travel to events, meetings and other opportunities across the district will be required.
