The Fundraising and Communications Officer plays a vital and diverse role in the success of the Fundraising and Communications Directorate and London Youth as a whole. As well as taking on your own specific projects, you will offer support to the wider Fundraising and Communications Directorate across events, different income streams, and communications projects as we work to achieve our targets in excess of £3.6m. You will collaborate with colleagues, funders, and partners and meet youth workers and young people as we look to engage and inspire audiences in support of transformational youth work.
What you will be doing
- Support the Corporate Partnerships Account Manager to deliver challenging events, digital fundraising and volunteering.
- Support the Fundraising and Communications directorate in the development and delivery of events, including the London Youth Awards, site visits, lunch and learns, Born Ambitious, and the AGM.
- Support the Fundraising and Communications directorate in the development and implementation of a new income stream.
- Support the Communications team on the development and delivery of on and offline communications assets.
- Be the first point of contact for all fundraising and communications enquiries.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to ensure all pages on our website are up to date, accurate and compelling, and position our charity as a credible partner of funders.
- Undertake research on behalf of the Fundraising and Communications teams as appropriate.
- Provide essential administrative support to the Fundraising and Communications Directorate.
- Ensure all information is recorded in an accurate and timely manner across all relevant systems and in line with relevant processes and procedures, including Salesforce and Sharepoint.
- Contribute to the team's annual plans, strategies, budget planning, and reforecasts where appropriate.
- Understand, support and communicate the vision, mission, and aims of London Youth and the needs of young people and youth organisations.

Community Action Nepal (CAN) was established 25 years ago by the world-renowned mountaineer Doug Scott CBE, to raise the living standards of remote mountain communities in Nepal. In this time CAN, working predominantly with our implementation partner in Nepal, has built 17 schools, 19 health posts and three Porter Rescue Shelters and delivered a wide range of livelihoods, agriculture and cultural programmes, improving the lives of many thousands of people in rural Nepal. We are looking for an organised and proactive Office Administrator to provide full office administration to the charity. The position is part of a small team. The post holder will need to be self-reliant and work on their own initiative to co-ordinate all elements of the office administration of the charity, whilst working closely with the Operations Director, Fundraising Officer, Trustees and Patrons. What does this role do?
As Public Fundraising Manager, you will:

- manage a caseload of pecuniary, specific, life interest, and residuary legacies, ensuring the charity receives its full entitlement and maximising value where possible,
- liaise with external stakeholders, such as executors or solicitors, handling sensitive conversations efficiently and professionally,
- review estate accounts, including the allocation of Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Inheritance Tax (IHT), to confirm estates are correctly administered,
- represent the charity’s interests in all legacy-related correspondence, handling queries from legal professionals and the public with professionalism,
- maintain accurate records using the First Class 4 database, support with reporting, and escalate significant matters to senior legal staff as needed.

As Welcome Team Leader you will work as part of the Engagement team, leading a team of Welcome Hosts to provide a warm welcome and overall excellent visitor experience at Southwark Cathedral. Acting as a central point of contact, you will lead, support and develop the Welcome Team to deliver a friendly and engaging visit and ensure a high standard of customer service. Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as main point of contact with Welcome Team acting for daily visitor engagement operations, liaising with other onsite teams, including Vergers, Retail, Property and Enterprise;
- Line manage the paid Welcome Team, ensuring a high standard of welcome and visitor service is provided;
- Carry out regular walk rounds of the site to support Welcome Team members, collaborate and provide feedback and ensure standards are consistently met;
- Cover Welcome Team positions as an when required, providing a welcoming, friendly and engaging visitor experience to all visitors to the Cathedral;
- Organise monthly rotas for the Welcome Team to ensure all days are adequately staffed, managing annual leave, sickness and overtime requests;

- Attend weekly Cathedral Diary meetings and manage daily service sheets and promotional materials;
- Handle complaints procedure and any difficult customers;
- Manage the recording of daily visitor numbers and donation figures;
- Take the lead on card payments for on the day ticket sales for public and group tours, and other engagement events;
- Attend the Health and Safety Committee and ensure the Welcome Team are confident and compliant with all health, safety, security and safeguarding policies and procedures;
- Take an active role in providing visitors with information about the Cathedral and its history, upcoming events, donation points, services and more;
- Communicate with pre-booked and un-booked tour groups requiring access to the Cathedral;
- Refer any visitor in need of pastoral care to the Day Chaplain or clergy;
- Encourage visitors to donate to the Cathedral through the various platforms available in the Cathedral and online and to encourage those making a donation to Gift Aid it should they be eligible to do so;
- Direct visitors to the Cathedral Shop and Café encouraging secondary spend;
- Promote the sale of information products such as the Visitor Map and Guidebook;

A little bit about the role
Location: Hybrid. If you are based in London you are required to attend the London office twice a week. If you are based outside of London, you are required to attend the London office once a month. Please note that travel to the London office is at your own expense.
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Salary: £44,400 – £53,747.68 depending on experience (inclusive of London Office Allowance if you are based in London) plus competitive pension

As our People Partner, you’ll work alongside leaders across the organisation to build high-performing, inclusive teams, by developing confident managers and supporting them to make great people decisions. You’ll act as a trusted adviser to managers across the full employee lifecycle, balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery. Whether supporting organisational change, recruitment, talent, employee relations or wider people projects, you’ll bring sound judgement, a coaching style and a pragmatic approach to achieving great outcomes for our people and the organisation.

- A coaching mindset that builds management capability
- Strong employment law knowledge, charity experience a plus

A little bit about you
We are looking for a People Partner who builds strong relationships across the organisation and can turn business priorities into practical people solutions. You should work independently, using sound judgment to manage complex employee relations cases, while partnering closely with managers on recruitment, workforce planning and talent development. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities, bringing a coaching approach that knows when to challenge and when to step back. You should understand risk well enough to know when to escalate, and stay grounded in employment law, ideally with a CIPD qualification. You should be genuinely invested in creating an inclusive, high-performing culture, with charity sector experience a bonus and an appetite for a role that grows and changes with the organisation.
We have a fast-moving culture within the team and organisation, so we’re looking for someone who is who is well organised, details-focused and can use their initiative to do what works. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to build relationships with people and be willing to learn. We are Molly Rose Foundation, founded following the death of 14-year-old Molly Russell. We work at the intersect of suicide prevention, online safety, and tech accountability to demand a safer online world and move beyond the preventable harm. We believe a better online world is possible, one where young people are protected, championed and equipped with the skills, confidence and critical algorithmic literacy they need to navigate digital spaces and thrive.
Working closely with the Head of Partnerships and Fundraising, we’re looking for a Trusts and Foundations Manager to join our small team at a critical growth point to build and deliver a Trusts Fundraising Strategy (currently projected to generate c.£600K in 2027) laying the groundwork for long term, sustainable income generation as part of our wider Fundraising Strategy.
This is a new role for someone with substantial experience working in Trusts Fundraising, as well as strong project development skills, who can take our fledgling portfolio of funders and transform it into a pool of engaged supporters invested in MRF’s work in the long-term. You will have a demonstrable track record of securing five-six figure sums, the ability to create propositions in collaboration with programmatic colleagues, and the confidence to present compelling cases for support to a range of philanthropic organisations. You will also have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, a keen eye for connecting philanthropic organisations to the right projects to develop meaningful relationships, and the skills to deliver high-quality, detailed bids to further our strategic objectives.
We're particularly interested in hearing from applicants with experience working in one or more of the following areas: online safety, tech accountability, suicide prevention, education or children’s mental health.
