Job description

Are you an experienced public fundraiser, who can deliver large-scale, people focused campaigns?
We’re looking for a Public Fundraising Manager, who will be responsible for the delivery of our face-to-face fundraising across the UK.

What does this role do?

As Public Fundraising Manager, you will:

  • manage the successful development and delivery of public fundraising campaigns, working closely with delivery partners to bring our campaigns to locations across the country, from supermarkets and county fairs to door-to-door and street fundraising,
  • monitor income and expenditure, ensuring activities deliver strong performance and a positive return on investment,
  • manage key relationships related to public fundraising across the organisation and with external partners, including fundraising teams, senior leaders, and fundraising agencies,
  • manage the Public Fundraising team, through regular supervision, coaching and training to maximise their potential and contribution to Dogs Trust.

Interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for 2nd and 3rd September 2026 and will take place on Teams.

Could this be you?

To be successful in this role, you’ll need experience of managing a target-driven team who can deliver successful, large-scale campaigns, providing them with effective coaching, mentorship, and support along the way. It’s essential that you’re an excellent communicator, who can confidently manage internal and external relationships, as this role will be regularly engaging with leadership, as well as delivery agencies and other charities. You’ll also have experience of analysing campaign performance, and the confidence to use insights to change strategic direction when needed. A commitment to our aims and objectives is essential.

We’ll never put a healthy dog down, so our work is focused on helping dogs in need, supporting owners every step of the walk, and creating a better world for dogs in the future. It’s what we’ve been doing since 1891 and how we’ve grown to become the UK’s leading dog charity, helping 12,000 loyal friends find their forever homes every year.
