Job Title: Individual Giving Officer

1. Purpose of the Role
• Working with the Head of Fundraising develop programmes for the recruitment and retention of individual supporters.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team and use your fundraising experience to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable children and families. As Fundraising Manager, your role will focus on developing relationships and generating income from charitable trusts, statutory sources and individuals.
This is a diverse and rewarding role where you can work closely with our project teams and see the direct impact of your efforts. The fundraising team is also actively involved in service delivery. This role will be instrumental in helping to distribute gifts and food to hundreds of disadvantaged families at Christmas, as well as helping families in crisis by assessing Crisis Fund applications and approving grants.
As a proactive and creative fundraiser, you will also help to shape the department’s overall fundraising strategy and play an important role in ensuring that many more disadvantaged children and families can access the support they need and have hope of a better future.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone with strong fundraising experience who is keen to use their skills to help CCS grow our income. A proactive and flexible approach is also a must! The successful candidate will have:
- At least three years’ experience or working as a charity fundraiser
- A proven track record of personally securing income in excess of £200,000 p.a.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues and supporters.

Hours

Job Summary
The Senior Partnership Officer will play a pivotal role in building, strengthening and diversifying Bipolar UK’s high‑value relationships, with a particular emphasis on corporate fundraising and identifying strategic, mutually beneficial collaborations that support the charity’s long‑term needs.

Job Description
An experienced Project Assistant role is offered on a consultancy (freelance contract, applicants must be self-employed) basis, initially on a 6 month contract with opportunity to extend a further 6 months; possible renewal to follow. This represents an incredible opportunity for a hands on delivery role to be involved in a very active, transformational education charity.
Key targets for the role are:
- Undertake day-to-day administration of the charity using Gmail, Google Drive and (Beacon) CRM database;

About You
You will be looking for a challenging and demanding role as a project officer and administrator in a

- Demonstrable familiarity with Gmail and Google Drive, CRM databases is essential (Beacon experience desirable), and social media scheduling would be an advantage.

About the role:
The role is offered on an initial basis of 6 months’ probation to be upgraded to a year, with the opportunity to renew.
A weekly commitment of 10 hours per week will be paid at £25/hour. Times worked will be negotiable, but some key hours to be worked on a Thursday to support the founder. The role is predominantly virtual and the successful candidate will provide all their own working equipment, including a computer and office space. Annual opportunities to meet up with the board in person and scholars at a fundraiser annually will be available, but attendance for the Project Officer is not mandatory.
Duties to include:
Administration / Governance
i) Day to day running of the charity’s ‘virtual’ office (email / Microsoft Office / use of Beacon CRM database / Google Drive).
ii) Managing correspondence and email flagging, filing, online storage / filing and retrieval of documents.
iii) Setting dates for trustee meetings and updating board papers.
iv) Prepare board notes for regular board meetings.

Partner Management

Consultancy Terms
i) The role will be paid hourly - initially typically around 10 hours a week as required (will require typically hours on a Thursday) (timings and induction to be agreed) at a rate of £25 an hour on an initial six month consultancy contract with the opportunity, on joint agreement between the Charity and consultant, to extend to a further 6 months and by negotiation thereafter.
ii) Hours – Flexible working hours across the week – with ~3 core hours on a Thursday. Occasional early evening board meetings (~2 hours, 3 times per year).
iii) Location – work from home with regular meet ups with members of the board by MS Teams/Zoom and occasional UK meet up F2F as events allow/required (travel expenses will be covered on top of hours worked).

Interview process
· Round 1: Successfully shortlisted applicants will be invited for a 1st round interview online via MS Teams – comprising a standard competency-based interview question format.
· Round 2: Those shortlisted for the 2nd round stage, will be invited for an in-person interview the following week – which will include a presentation, with further instructions provided prior to the interview. Candidates will be asked to present to the panel at the start of the 2nd round interview.

We are looking for an organised and personable Partnerships and High Value Coordinator to join our Community Fundraising Team. Focussed on maximising high value partnership opportunities, this is an exciting opportunity for a confident relationship-builder with a passion for purpose-led partnerships to join the Charity at a pivotal time.
Working closely with the Partnerships & High value Manager, you will support the coordination and management of high value giving opportunities, including corporate partnerships and grants. You will take a collaborative approach to growing our high value partnerships programme, delivering excellent account management and stewardship, nurturing meaningful relationships, deepening engagement and developing insight-led, impact-driven partnership propositions.
Creative, ambitious, self-motivated, driven to make a genuine impact, eager to further develop their fundraising skills – if this is you, then we would like to hear from you! Ideally, you’ll have experience in a partnerships or high net worth team within a charity too.
