We are looking to recruit a Visitor Experience Assistant to join our team based at our London site. You will join us on a part-time basis, working 1000 hours per year on a permanent contract. In return, you will receive a salary of £13,852.22 per annum.
The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity, with two sister sites at London and Midlands. Our purpose is to share the RAF story, past, present and future – using the stories of its people and our collections in order to engage, inform and inspire. We have two public sites (London and Midlands) and a stored collection (Stafford). Our trading company and active fundraising supplement Grant in Aid which comes through the Ministry of Defence.
The Royal Air Force Museum is a Carbon Literate organisation and as such promotes Carbon Literacy.
Purpose of the Visitor Experience Assistant role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate team member who understands and are committed to providing customer service excellence and puts the visitor at the centre of everything they do.
The ideal candidate will have previous visitor facing experience ideally in a leisure or heritage environment. You will need to be a confident communicator, a team player and be able to respond quickly and positively in a changing environment. Being flexible in your outlook is essential as you will be fulfilling a variety of roles at the museum.
You will also support the museum in hosting evening events from gala dinners to sleepovers and outdoor film nights. An understanding of the importance of supporting and fulfilling a ‘host’ role for corporate clients and Museum partners is desirable.
As a Visitor Experience Assistant, you will have a variety of roles which will include:
- Proactive response to ensuring the highest possible visitor standards are maintained.
- Providing a warm welcome to our visitors and enhancing every visitor’s experience at the museum through your engagement with them and your problem-solving skills.
- Supporting activities, events, general museum operations and processing visitor bookings at admissions.
- Promoting and selling museum guidebooks, services, commercial activities, and events to visitors.
- Supporting the museum’s fundraising and commercial activities.
- Providing a safe and secure experience for everyone.
- Being a first aider and fire marshal. Training for both roles will be provided.
- Inspire visitors by sharing the Royal Air Force story and the story of the people who shape the Royal Air Force.
- There will also be the opportunity to provide engaging talks to visitors.
This is a permanent, part-time role working 1000 hours annually. The working hours each week will be dependent on business requirements (maximum 35 hours per week during peak season and minimum 4 hours per week during off-peak season). You will work a flexible pattern which will include working some weekends, bank holidays and occasional evening/overnights.
The role will be based at our London site.

Job Summary for Evaluation and Evidence Specialist
This role forms a key part of a new Strategy & Insight Team at Bowel Cancer UK, which seeks to build core capabilities to enable us to be as effective as we can be for people affected by bowel cancer. The Evaluation and Evidence Specialist will be an internal leader driving a step-change in the way we understand and articulate our impact, as well as how we use evidence in our work. You will be responsible for delivering evaluations of high-priority activities, as well as supporting other teams to evaluate the impact of their area. You will drive a cultural shift in evidence-based decision making where the charity begins to move from reacting to evidence to proactively generating its own evidence. You will ensure that insight, evidence and impact are delivered in a useful way to colleagues to support planning, decisions, income generation and communications.
Main responsibilities
- Lead a step-change in the way Bowel Cancer UK approaches evaluation, impact, and evidence.
- Develop evaluation frameworks for Bowel Cancer UK’s high-priority programmes and projects, ensuring that they can demonstrate the impact of our work.
- Develop, maintain and renew a set of compelling impact statements that support Bowel Cancer UK’s brand and meets the needs of other teams in engaging their key audiences.
- Establish a programme of routine evaluation for key ongoing activities across the charity, which can demonstrate effectiveness and cost-effectiveness.
- Proactively provide analysis of internal and external evidence sources to deliver meaningful insight for the organisation.
- Support teams to identify the evidence they require, including checking to ensure evidence is used consistently and robustly.
- Develop our capability in how evidence is presented to different audiences, including through data visualisation.
- Develop and maintain a central repository for evaluation and key evidence for the organisation to use.
- Identify gaps in evaluation and evidence and develop plans for how these can be addressed.
- Provide training and development opportunities to colleagues to upskill on the best approaches to evaluation and evidence.

Role purpose
In this new role, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the Policy, Research and Consultancy team’s evidence base and enhance our capacity to generate meaningful insights. As a core member of the PR&C team, you will lead on the collection, analysis, interpretation, and communication of data that informs policy development, supports research outputs, measures impact and underpins consultancy projects.
Working closely with the Head of the PR&C and the team leads, you will ensure high-quality data and analytical thinking drive decision making across the team, contributing to the overall growth plan. You will bring curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset, continuously improving analytical approaches, developing new methods, while staying informed on trends related to older people, loneliness, and social isolation.
Key responsibilities
- Data analysis and insight
- Collect, clean, validate, and analyse datasets using both traditional analytical methods and AI-enabled tools to support policy, research, impact, and consultancy activities.
- Develop clear, compelling insights, leveraging machine learning techniques and predictive analytics, to strengthen the organisation’s evidence base and inform decision-making.
- Produce high-quality written reports, dashboards, visualisations, and insight summaries, using BI platforms and automation to communicate findings in accessible and engaging ways.
- Contribute to the development of question design and data collection approaches as part of our monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) framework.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data to support fundraising reporting and bid-writing requirements.

Policy and Research Support

- Support the Research and Impact lead to design, build and analyse the Re-engage annual survey, providing high quality insights.
Collaboration and Continuous improvement
- Support the PR&C team with general administration, including handling the impact mailbox, data entry, and postal mailings.
- Work closely with colleagues across the charity to strengthen data analysis and develop appropriate tools that support effective data use and deliver high-quality and timely support.
- Continuously improve analytical processes, data workflows, and visualisation methods by integrating scalable data practices, to enhance efficiency and data quality.

Not all young people have the same opportunities in life. Caudwell Youth exists to level the playing field for young people at risk. We support young people up to 25 years, who face real challenges in their lives. They may experience mental health challenges, be leaving care or be at risk of exploitation or offending.
We provide person centred support through volunteer-led mentoring for up to 18-months, alongside a targeted intervention programme called Shaping Futures for high-risk young people. Founded by the philanthropist John Caudwell in 2022, we now support young people across Milton Keynes, Hertfordshire, Slough, Buckinghamshire, and Luton.
Over our first 3 years as a charity, our work has consistently achieved exceptional outcomes for at-risk young people. 95% reduced offending behaviour, 64% reduced their exploitation risk, 83% reported improvements in their mental health and 45% had moved into education, employment or training. When a young person makes progress, families and communities benefit too. In fact, economic analysis shows that for every £1 invested in our programme, we save the public purse £6.05.
Unfortunately, demand for our service far outstrips supply, meaning we have often had to close our waiting lists. Whilst the risks and challenges young people face continue to grow. We currently support around 400 young people. The driving ambition behind our forthcoming strategy is to reach more.
To achieve this we are setting out to develop and expand our programmes. To become a national charity. We will do this working with at-risk young people, empowering them in everything we do. Our ambition to support more at-risk young people is shared with them.

Purpose of Role:

Key Duties:

Centre 33 is an ambitious and growing charity based across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join our established ‘Someone to Talk to’ service in a Team Lead role. The Team Lead will manage and oversee a team of staff and volunteers supporting young people across Centre 33’s two hubs in our North Locality – in Peterborough, Huntingdon and Wisbech. The Team Lead will work closely with the other Team Leads and Heads of Service to jointly ensure our multidisciplinary teams deliver excellent, safe, impactful and responsive services to young people.
We are looking for a highly motivated professional with experience working within a Mental Health, or youth work role, and with experience of managing people. The Team Lead will bring strong expertise and leadership to Centre 33’s mental health support offer for young people aged 13-25 years, leading the teams delivering counselling and the wider, flexible emotional wellbeing offer. They will be responsible for providing support with case allocation, case management, reflective practice, risk management and Safeguarding. They will provide day-to-day designated Safeguarding leadership, supported by the Head of Service and Director of Services. They will develop strong relationships with local organisations and statutory services to ensure effective joint working and support for young people. This role may deliver ad hoc case work to support young people with more complex needs but will hold only a limited ongoing, regular case load.
The hours of work for this role are predominantly within core opening hours of 10 to 6pm, with some evening/Saturday working based on a rota. Due to our service delivery, it is important that the Team Lead is available for hub-based work during our core working hours.

The Cathedral has a particular responsibility to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults in the Cathedral community. It shares this responsibility with the Diocese of St Albans. This work is wide‑ranging, and the Cathedral Safeguarding Officer (CSO) plays a central role in maintaining good safeguarding practice.
This part‑time role (15 hours per week) becomes vacant as the current postholder retires after four years, with time planned for handover with the person appointed to the role now. The CSO works with senior staff and the governing body to help lead policy development, training, reporting, and compliance with Church of England guidance. They report to the Canon for Mission and Pastoral Care and receive regular professional supervision from the National Safeguarding Team, with occasional networking with other CSOs.
Safeguarding is recognised as a shared leadership responsibility. The CSO meets weekly with senior clergy to review cases and will also work with the newly appointed non‑executive Safeguarding Lead on Chapter, the Cathedral’s governing body.
A core part of the role is promoting safeguarding awareness across the Cathedral community and understanding all activities involving children, young people, and vulnerable adults. The CSO provides professional advice on concerns raised, ensuring responses follow law and national policy, and works closely with diocesan and national safeguarding teams on complex cases. Overview of post:
This is a 12-month paid internship starting in March 2026, supported by the Jack Petchey Internship
Programme. The successful candidate must be available to take up the post by Monday 23rd
March 2026. This internship is designed to provide a structured learning and development
opportunity for someone interested in building a career in the youth, charity, and/or community
sector. The post-holder will gain specialist knowledge working with unpaid Carers and their
families, as well as exposure to how the broader health, social care, and education sectors
operate.
The post-holder will support the delivery of activities and breaks for Young Carers (YCs) and
Young Adult Carers (YACs), including social, educational, and wellbeing groups, groups which
support YC and YAC personal development, create opportunities to build friendships and peer
support networks as well as provide time out from caring roles.
They will help raise awareness of Young Carers by attending e.g. outreach events and school
assemblies alongside staff, will contribute to identifying new YCs, and undertake a specific
project focused on engaging more YACs aged 18–25. This project will involve researching their
needs and preferences and piloting activities to meet these.
Through Sutton Carers Centre’s support and the additional opportunities provided by the Jack
Petchey Internship Programme, this internship offers a high-quality, developmental experience
for someone starting out in the sector. It could be particularly rewarding for someone who has
lived experience of caring and/or wants to develop specialist knowledge and skills in this area.

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated individual to join the Homelessness Team in our values-led charity.Please note that for safeguarding reasons, we have an occupational requirement for this post-holder to be male.
Our Charity: St Petrock’s is a strongly values-led local charity, with our primary focus being to meet the urgent needs of people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. It is essential for everyone on our team to be fully committed to our Mission and Values, which guide all that we do.
The Role: We are looking for a motivated, compassionate and dedicated individual to join our homelessness team, which provides essential survival support and advice to people who are rough sleeping and/or vulnerably housed. We welcome applications from those with lived experience of homelessness.
The successful applicant will be committed to the mission and values of St Petrock’s. They will have significant experience of working with disadvantaged people who may exhibit challenging behaviour and will also understand the importance of confidentiality and discretion. They will be adaptable and flexible, capable of working both on their own initiative and enjoy the variety and challenge of working as part of a team within a busy charity.
The role is based at the St Petrock’s Centre and includes our food outreach. This involves significant amounts of walking each day across multiple terrains, requiring a good level of mobility and fitness.

Therefore, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010, St Petrock’s will have an Occupational Requirement for this post to be filled by someone who is male.
