We're seeking an experienced Volunteering Development Manager to lead the development and implementation of volunteering initiatives across the RNLI. Working closely with the Head of Volunteering, you'll drive strategic projects, create new volunteering opportunities, and ensure a consistent approach to volunteering development across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to influence volunteering at a national level, working with a wide range of stakeholders to maximise volunteer impact and support the RNLI's lifesaving mission.
About the role
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and influencing a team of volunteering professionals.
- Delivering volunteering initiatives aligned to the People and Volunteering Strategy.
- Monitoring, analysing and reporting on volunteering performance through KPIs, dashboards and scorecards.
- Developing volunteer management resources and toolkits to support Volunteer Managers.
- Providing expert advice and guidance on volunteering policies, procedures and complex issues.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships to champion volunteering and attract a diverse volunteer workforce.
- Supporting policy development, continuous improvement initiatives and future volunteering planning.
- Deputising for the Head of Volunteering when required.
Location: Hybrid working between home and Poole (2 days a week).

The Head of Youth Work holds overall responsibility for the development and delivery of Providence House Youth Club’s youth work programmes, working with young people aged 8 to 19 from disadvantaged backgrounds across Battersea. As our foundational senior delivery hire, they will lead the delivery departments of universal youth work, girls work, sports programmes, detached and outreach work, school programmes and community mentoring. An exciting opportunity for a Head of Health Information and Support has arisen at World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF).
World Cancer Research Fund champions the latest and most authoritative scientific research from around the world on cancer prevention and survival through diet, weight and physical activity, so that we can empower people to make informed lifestyle choices to reduce their cancer risk.
We are seeking an inspiring, strategic and collaborative leader to shape and deliver WCRF’s Health Information and Support strategy across three core audiences: the general public, health professionals and cancer survivors. The team turns WCRF’s scientific evidence on cancer prevention and survival into practical, accessible information, training and support based on our Cancer Prevention Recommendations. The postholder will lead and develop the team, ensuring its work is innovative, evidence-based, high quality and demonstrably effective.
Working across Science, Policy, Fundraising, Communications and Engagement, you will create new ways to share our health information, improve existing resources and services, and build impactful partnerships. You will ensure that public and patient insight shapes our work from cancer prevention to survivorship, strengthen programmes for health professionals and make effective use of digital channels. Responsibilities include contributing to our Medical Education programme, participating in working and steering groups and speaking at national conferences, networking at events, engaging corporate audiences and acting as a spokesperson in broadcast and print media. Ultimately, you will help establish WCRF as the go-to source of information and support on the links between cancer, nutrition and lifestyle.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of implementing strategy, developing business and operational plans, and leading high-performing teams.
You will bring substantial experience in areas such as health information or education, working with healthcare professionals, UK health policy, health science or research, or marketing health information and services. You will be confident in measuring impact, managing budgets and using data to improve performance, with strong knowledge of non-communicable diseases and issues including nutrition, obesity, diet and physical activity. An excellent communicator and relationship-builder, you will be proactive, creative and results-focused, able to operate at senior management level and open to using digital, AI and other emerging tools to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

Role Details
Title: Skilled Volunteer Programme Manager
Time Commitment: Full time (with the option of 4 days a week)
Locations: Hybrid – remote and in-person (minimum 2 days per week in our Battersea office, with travel across London as required)
Salary: £33,000 full time with the option of pro rate @ 4 days a week
Responsibilities
- Programme delivery: Own the end-to-end matching process from first conversations with volunteers and organisations, through project scoping and agreements, to monitoring live projects and collecting feedback, ensuring fast, high-quality matches and strong relationships throughout.
- Growth & expansion: Lead research and planning for expansion in different boroughs, working with volunteers and the Head of Skilled Volunteering to identify opportunities and build relationships in communities.
- Pipeline & impact: Keep a healthy flow of projects and volunteers coming in, track diversity and reach, and contribute to regular impact and performance reporting.
- Communications & events: Work with the Comms team to promote the programme and represent Skilled Volunteering at events and in the community.

Person Specification
Essential:
- At least 3 years' professional experience managing programmes or projects, ideally in a volunteering, community, or charity setting
- Strong relationship-management skills, with the ability to work confidently with a range of stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented while being able to understand the big picture
- Proven experience working with data, feedback systems, and reporting frameworks

Purpose of the Job
Development and delivery of the Data, Research and Impact strategy through a cascade of the overall business strategy by ensuring Felix uses robust evidence, technology and research to maximise its social impact and make effective strategic decisions.
The role provides strategic leadership for the Impact & Insights function at a pivotal stage for Felix post-merger. It will also play a critical role as we reshape and transition Data, Digital and Technology, clarifying ownership of business logic, measurement frameworks, KPIs, data quality and governance so that Impact & Insights, Technology and business owners have clear accountabilities and can build greater organisational data maturity. - Experience of improving data governance, data quality and data management practices across teams, with a clear understanding of responsible data use and data privacy regulations (eg GDPR).
- Ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, creating clarity, focus and high standards across insight generation, research and reporting.

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. The Role
Working through a climate resilience lens, with a greener gardening approach, the delivery of the Horticulture Vision places horticulture on a pedestal in the world of public parks like never before. About You

- Relevant horticultural qualifications (RHS, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent) are desirable

The role leads on all operational, health and safety, premises, IT, systems, human resources, evaluation, and reporting activity. The Head of Operations manages the delivery of Sound Minds’ Peer Support service and will act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. They deputise for the CEO as required.

In 2025, BIAS expanded its successful Brent-based advice service and active ageing clubs into Haringey borough. The Head of Operations will take the lead on further building and developing the new services in Haringey, ensuring that we replicate our excellent quality of service, strong record of positive outcomes and loyal service-user base.
This is a key role within the BIAS senior leadership team, which will give you the opportunity to have a direct impact on shaping the organisation’s future strategy and direction.
KEY WORK AREAS AND MAIN DUTIES
Staff management
- Manage a team of five project coordinators and five front-line staff to ensure effective delivery and monitoring of BIAS’s core welfare and housing advice, active ageing, volunteering and befriending projects, which support over 900 people per year.
- Manage HR procedures, including employment contracts, probation assessment, leave administration, staff supervision, performance management and exit procedures.
- Conduct recruitment procedures where needed, and supervise the onboarding process for new joiners.
- Oversee training and development needs and budgets.
- Ensure good teamwork and lines of communication between staff, including by chairing regular staff meetings.
- Create a positive working environment in which equity and diversity are promoted and staff can do their best.
Project management
- Project-manage the further development of new advice and active ageing services in Haringey borough.
- Take the lead on promotion and marketing of BIAS’s services, including by representing the charity to partner organisations and at external events.
- Contribute to the organisation and running of regular community and fundraising events.
- Deputise for the Advice Services Manager where needed, supporting the welfare and housing advisers with complex casework, forward planning and client management.
- Support the Active Ageing Coordinators and volunteer teams wherever needed with the day-to-day running of the active ageing clubs.
Quality and service delivery
- Oversee quality-assurance procedures in line with the Advice Quality Standard (AQS), and spearhead biannual renewal of BIAS’s AQS accreditation.
- Oversee running of BIAS’s volunteer project in line with the Investing in Volunteers quality accreditation standards.
- Serve as internal data protection officer, monitoring GDPR compliance, managing risk and responding to any potential data breaches.
- Serve as BIAS safeguarding lead, ensuring that safeguarding policies and training are kept up to date, and that all safeguarding concerns are appropriately addressed.
- Work with the Fundraising and Communications Manager to administer the BIAS website and implement BIAS’s social media strategy.
- Administer BIAS’s IT and client management systems (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, BrightHR, Lamplight CRM), coordinating training, updates and troubleshooting.
Operational leadership
- Advise the CEO on all staffing and service-delivery issues.
- Monitor and report on service delivery, including through monthly advice and volunteer-project reports, quarterly Board reports and regular funder reports.
- Carry out regular reviews of BIAS’s annual business plan, risk register, five-year strategy and internal policies and procedures, providing recommendations to the CEO and Board of Trustees on strategic direction.
- Research and secure funding from grant-making organisations, ensuring BIAS’s future financial sustainability.
- Work closely with the Finance Manager and CEO on budgeting, grant monitoring, cashflow and financial authorisation.
These are the basic duties required of the Head of Operations. However, it is necessary for all staff to be flexible and you may be required from time to time to perform other reasonable duties which are required for the efficient running of the organisation. We will also offer training opportunities to support your career development.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. This role will be based in our advice offices and club venues in Willesden and Haringey but there may be some options for flexible working (e.g. one day per week from home). Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.

BIAS is a local charity which has supported England’s largest Irish community in Brent for almost fifty years. We deliver our support through our welfare and housing advice service, our active ageing clubs, our volunteer project and our befriending scheme. We raise over £2 million in extra income for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged every year and have over 7000 attendances at our club services. BIAS has recently expanded into Haringey borough and has exciting plans to further develop its project scope and geographical reach, supported by sustainable and diversified grant funding, including from Ireland’s Emigrant Support Programme.

The Volunteer Coordinator (Nag’s Head Farm) will lead the recruitment, administration and support of volunteers for Camp Jojo’s Cumbria camps. As the main point of contact throughout the volunteer journey, they will manage applications, maintain databases, coordinate communications and ensure volunteers are successfully placed at camp.
Working closely with the Operations Manager and supported by the experienced team at Ivy Farm, Essex, the role also includes providing administrative support and attending volunteer-related meetings.
