Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Business Development Officer to join our national Business Development Team. This is an ideal next step for you if you’re an experienced bid writer looking to grow your career in business development, make social impact, and develop your leadership skills. We’d particularly like to hear from people that have experience of writing high-scoring drug and alcohol service bids.

Location: London, Brighton, Manchester or Leeds.

Salary: £43,384.62 − £47,792.23 per year. If you’re based in London, you’ll receive an additional £4,133.14 per year for Inner London Weighting.

Change Grow Live is a health and social care charity. Across the country, we support people to make positive changes in their lives, including around drug and alcohol use, smoking, homelessness and criminal justice.

As a Senior Business Development Officer, you’ll play a lead role in the development and writing of tenders and proposals for a variety of health and social care services. This role offers a great opportunity to learn and develop while using your established skills, and you’ll be encouraged to take on more responsibility as you progress.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Writing and editing complex and highly weighted bid responses, working to short timeframes
• Project managing the writing of key tenders with support from a Business Development Manager
• Supporting the development of Assistant Business Development Officers and Business Development Officers, with the potential of providing line management
• Working with staff across the organisation and our partners to develop bids that reflect best practice respond to local needs
• Producing and coordinating detailed research for upcoming opportunities, including meeting with subject matter experts, analysing data and collating evidence
• Creating presentations, diagrams and reports
• Participating in and leading reviews of our bid and proposal processes.

About you         

We’re looking for candidates with proven experience of writing tenders, proposals or grant applications in health and social care.

• A highly competent communicator with a successful track record in bid writing, ideally for drug and alcohol treatment or related services

We’re looking for an Out of Hours Activity Coordinator to be responsible for the development and delivery of our out-of-hours services. 

You will be creative and motivated, and will inspire the people we support through a range of activities and new opportunities, building upon our current offer. 

This role reduces social isolation and loneliness for disabled adults and children by creating new evenings and weekend opportunities. We’ll also look to you to create a brand for these new, standalone services which are designed with people who use our services and our co-production team.

Key tasks

Casework provision 

• Provide support for our weekly sessions and programs.

• Contribute to the initial planning and development of regular and seasonal community events.

• Manage logistical aspects of sessions, including preparing materials, setting up and tidying event spaces, and ensuring all essential items are available (refreshments, first aid supplies, registration and feedback forms, and fidget toys).

Job Title: Fundraiser - Third Party Events

Directorate: Engagement and Fundraising

Context and Background

The NSPCC's mission is to end cruelty to children. In order to carry out its charitable work, we rely on the fundraising support of people across the UK for 90% of its annual income. Within Income Generation, our aim is to provide maximum resources for the NSPCC and children by working together to create the best possible donor experience by building long -term relationships to create a supporter experience which is different, better and more rewarding than that of supporting any other charity.

The Mass Participation Team (MPT) is an important part of the Philanthropy and Partnerships department within the Engagement and Fundraising directorate. MPT is responsible for attracting new supporters through our mass participation events and products to maximise fundraised income, and to optimise onward journeys to retain supporters within the NSPCC family.

The Mass Participation Team focuses on three areas of fundraising;

• Third party events – sporting and challenge events organised by third party suppliers, where we market spaces, recruit participants and support them in raising money in aid of the NSPCC. For example, the TCS London Marathon, Cardiff Half Marathon, Ultra Challenge series, skydives, bespoke treks.
• Schools Fundraising – a suite of fundraising products tailored to schools across all educational settings, including Number Day, the Kindness Challenge and Classmaster.
• DIY fundraising – supporters who choose to organise their own fundraising event or activity. Whether they take part with family or friends, at work or at school, we support them through stewardship and fundraising materials to help them reach their fundraising goals.

Job purpose

The role of the Fundraiser is to manage a number of events in the third party events portfolio. The Fundraiser will be responsible for working as a proactive member of the team to ensure that the participation levels and net income from each event/activity are maximised. The key aspects of the role are:

• To project manage specific event activities, co -ordinate cross fundraising activity, develop materials, keep track of budgets and evaluate as appropriate
• To develop specific activities and build existing activities to increase participation and income.
• Work closely with the team manager to identify and implement new opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work as part of the Mass Participation Team to deliver the overall department objectives.

The wïsh centre is a Registered Charity in London Borough of Harrow that helps young people to stop self harming so that they can live a life free from the risk of serious harm. Every year we support over 150 children and young people ages 12-25 years through long term psychotherapy and peer support groups. The role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Database and Insights Officer to take ownership of myaware’s CRM system (Raiser’s Edge) and ensure our database is accurate, compliant, and fully utilised across the organisation.

This is a pivotal role, acting as the main point of contact for all internal CRM users and our external CRM system provider. As a database super user, you will manage system settings, user access, data integrity and development, while providing expert support, guidance and training to colleagues.

Working closely with the CEO, the myaware management team and colleagues across the organisation, you will ensure the CRM system supports fundraising, communications, campaigns and wider organisational insight. You will also play a key role in identifying opportunities for system improvement, upgrades and best practice. The role will require occasional working at Derby HQ and travel for meetings.

We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition.

Stella Maris is the official maritime charity of the Catholic Church.  We are looking for a Regional Port Chaplain for the East Englia Ports to support seafarers, fishers and their families.

In this unique and rewarding role, you'll be the welcoming face of Stella Maris in your region, visiting ships, listening to crew members, and offering practical, pastoral and spiritual support to anyone in need, regardless of faith or background.

About the role

No two days are the same.  You might spend the morning visiting ships and listening to crew members' stories, help someone contact their family back home, support a seafarer in crisis, or offer a quiet moment of prayer on deck.

You'll also recruit and support a team of volunteers, work closely with other maritime charities and local partners, and build strong relationships with parishes, dioceses, and port authorities.  You'll be part of a nationwide network of Stella Maris chaplains, supported through regular meetings, retreats and professional development opportunities.

• Visit ships regularly to meet seafarers and fishers, responding to their pastoral, practical and spiritual needs.
• Provide practical help such as transport, communication access, and emergency or crisis support.
