Job description

Overview

At Change Grow Live, we believe that every person has the ability to change. Through compassion, respect and evidence-based support, we help people take positive steps towards recovery and build healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Guided by our values of Be Open, Be Compassionate and Be Bold, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Programmes Facilitator to join our team at HMP Erlestoke.

Are you passionate about group work and helping people achieve lasting recovery?

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on delivering impactful psychosocial interventions and believes in the power of groups to inspire reflection, build resilience and support meaningful behaviour change. As a Programmes Facilitator, you will empower people affected by drug and alcohol use to build brighter futures through recovery-focused programmes.

Where: HMP Erlestoke

Hours: 37.5 per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and evidence-based psychosocial group interventions.
  • Facilitate the Atlas Programme and other structured groupwork.
  • Encourage participation, challenge thinking patterns and support behaviour change.
  • Conduct assessments and determine suitability for interventions.
  • Provide motivational one-to-one support to enhance engagement in recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with prison staff, healthcare professionals and partner agencies.
  • Support reduced harm, improved wellbeing and successful reintegration into the community.

About you:

  • Experience delivering or supporting group-based psychosocial interventions.
  • Strong understanding of recovery principles and behaviour change.
  • Ability to create safe, inclusive and engaging group environments.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Commitment to person-centred care and positive outcomes.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, confidentiality and information governance.

What we will give to you:

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days.
  • Paid weekly Wellness Hour and Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Contributory pension scheme.
  • Discounts on shopping, cinema, holidays and more.
  • Friendly, supportive and values-driven team.
  • Excellent training and career progression opportunities.

Please ensure that when completing your application form and supporting statement, you reflect on the details outlined in the job description. This will help us understand how your skills and experiences align with the requirements of the role.

As we want to get to know you, not an AI tool. Please make sure your application is written in your own words and genuinely reflects your skills, experience and motivation for this role.

Direct applications only — we will not be engaging agencies for this vacancy.

Please note: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK at the time of application. For applicants with time-limited visas, unfortunately, we are unable to support new visa applications or extensions.

We reserve the right to close the vacancy early if we receive a high number of applications, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
