Job description

The For Baby’s Sake Trust is seeking to appoint a Deputy Director of Operations to work closely with the Chief Operating Officer in leading programme development and delivery across the Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced social work professional with experience of managing teams and who shares our passion for breaking cycles of domestic abuse, giving babies the best start in life, and supporting care-experienced young people.

In this role, you will manage Regional Team Managers and help ensure the consistent, robust and high-quality delivery of the For Baby’s Sake programme and other services across all sites. You will work collaboratively with delivery partners, provide Deputy Designated Safeguarding support, and contribute to the development and delivery of internal and external training.

You will also play an important role in promoting the Trust’s work, strengthening relationships with existing partners, and identifying opportunities for new partnerships and delivery sites.

This is a full-time, permanent role reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. The role offers the flexibility of working from home, with occasional travel across the UK as required.

We are committed to supporting our staff through a benefits package that promotes wellbeing, flexibility and professional development, including:

  • 26 days’ annual leave plus 8 public holidays, rising to 28 days after 2 years’ service and 30 days after 5 years’ service.
  • 2 additional Rest and Reflect days each year.
  • Employer pension contributions of up to 5%, matched to the employee’s own contribution.
  • Maternity and paternity leave provision.
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme, including confidential counselling and mental health support.
  • Flexible and remote working arrangements, with occasional travel as required.
  • A strong commitment to staff wellbeing, reflective practice, supervision, learning and professional development.

To apply, please submit your completed application form and an up-to-date CV via the 'Apply' button by 11.59pm on 21 October 2026.

After submitting your application, you will receive an Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form. Completion of this form is voluntary, confidential, and separate from the selection process.

Shortlisted candidates will be notified by close of business on 26 October 2026, and interviews will be held on 2 November 2026.
