Stella Maris is the official maritime charity of the Catholic Church. We are looking for a Regional Port Chaplain for the West Coast of Scotland to support seafarers, fishers and their families.
In this unique and rewarding role, you'll be the welcoming face of Stella Maris in your region, visiting ships, listening to crew members, and offering practical, pastoral and spiritual support to anyone in need, regardless of faith or background.
About the role
No two days are the same. You might spend the morning visiting ships and listening to crew members' stories, help someone contact their family back home, support a seafarer in crisis, or offer a quiet moment of prayer on deck.
You'll also recruit and support a team of volunteers, work closely with other maritime charities and local partners, and build strong relationships with parishes, dioceses, and port authorities. You'll be part of a nationwide network of Stella Maris chaplains, supported through regular meetings, retreats and professional development opportunities.

The successful candidate will bring experience of expeditions or fieldwork together with strong communication, organisational and digital skills. Working as part of a small, collaborative team, they will help ensure the Society's support for modern geographical exploration remains rigorous, accessible and impactful as the community continues to grow.
Salary and Benefits:
This is a permanent, full-time post subject to successful completion of a probationary period of three months. The salary range for this post is £30,295 to £32,930 per annum depending on experience and qualifications. The post is based in Kensington, London.

The region’s leading charity in tackling violence against women and girls, BSWA offers a helpline, webchat, drop in and and community support as well as emergency accommodation in six refuges across the area.

The Crisis & Resilience Fund Team Leader will lead the delivery of the Exeter Crisis & Resilience Service, providing operational leadership to a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, person-centred support to residents experiencing financial hardship, crisis and multiple disadvantage. The postholder will line manage Navigate's Client Liaison Officers and the Money Advice Caseworkers employed by partners Churches Housing Action Team (CHAT) and Encompass Southwest to ensure a seamless, coordinated service that supports individuals from immediate financial crisis through to long term resilience.
