Inflammatory Neuropathies UK is growing, developing, and reaching more people. We have big ambitions for what comes next, and we are looking for an Operations Manager who can help us turn those ambitions into reality.

A little bit about us

We are the only UK charity completely dedicated to people impacted by Guillain Barré Syndrome (GBS), CIDP, MMN, and other Inflammatory Neuropathies.

These are rare, life altering conditions, and we are here to make sure nobody has to face them alone.

We provide information and support, personal grants, local groups, online communities, and much more. We bring people with lived experience together, fund research, carry out social research, and make sure our community has a voice.

We are a small charity, working right across the UK, with big ambitions.

And we do things a little differently.

We are professional, but we are not very corporate. We are prepared to try things, ask questions, and change things when they are not working. We trust our people, value lived experience, and believe the people we support should help shape what we do.

Above all, we put people first.

So, what is the job?

You will be at the heart of how Inflammatory Neuropathies UK works.

You will oversee and develop our services, support our staff and volunteers, improve our systems and processes, help manage our finances and resources, support good governance, and help turn ideas into action.

It is a broad role, because we are a small charity. You might be looking at budgets or governance one day, developing a service or supporting a volunteer the next.

We need someone who can see the bigger picture, but who is also happy getting into the detail when it matters. Someone organised, practical, curious, and good with people. Someone who takes responsibility, solves problems, and looks for better ways of doing things.

But just as importantly, we want someone who listens.

Someone who understands that good operations are not just about systems, spreadsheets, and processes. They are about supporting people to do great work, and making sure our community gets the support it needs.

The role is remote, with occasional travel across the UK, including to our office in Lincolnshire, as well as meetings and events across the Country.
