Finance isn't just about numbers. It's about making change possible.
At Bond, we believe a more just and equitable world is possible.
As the UK network for organisations working in international development, we bring together more than 300 civil society organisations united by a shared ambition: to tackle poverty, inequality and injustice around the world. We champion the sector, influence policy, strengthen organisations and create the connections that enable our members to achieve greater impact together.
International development is changing.
Funding is becoming more complex. Expectations are growing. Organisations are navigating increasing uncertainty while responding to global crises that demand collaboration, innovation and resilience.
That is why we're looking for an exceptional Director of Finance & Resources.
This is a rare opportunity to join our Senior Management Team and help shape the future of Bond at a pivotal moment in our journey.
A leadership role with purpose
As our Director of Finance & Resources, you'll do far more than lead finance.
You'll help ensure Bond remains financially resilient, operationally strong and strategically focused so that we can continue supporting the organisations working to create lasting global change.
Working closely with our CEO, Trustees and senior colleagues, you'll provide the financial leadership, organisational insight and strategic challenge that enables confident decision-making across the organisation.
You'll oversee Finance, Planning, Operations, HR and IT, ensuring the systems, people and financial governance behind our work are as strong as the mission we exist to serve.
What you'll be doing
You'll lead:
This is a role for someone equally comfortable presenting to Trustees, supporting colleagues with complex funding proposals, reviewing organisational risk, or rolling up their sleeves to solve operational challenges.
Who we're looking for
You're an experienced finance leader who understands that great organisations need both strong financial stewardship and ambitious thinking.
You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with senior leadership experience and an ability to balance strategic oversight with practical delivery.
You'll bring:
Most importantly, you'll share our commitment to equity, inclusion and creating positive change. We're looking for someone who sees finance not as a control function, but as a catalyst for organisational impact.
Why Bond?
Everything we do is rooted in collaboration.
You'll join an organisation that believes lasting change happens when people come together, share expertise and challenge one another to do better.
Alongside meaningful work, we offer:
Join us
This is more than a finance leadership role. It's an opportunity to help strengthen the organisations working to build a fairer, more sustainable world.
If you're looking for a role where your financial expertise can support meaningful change on a national and global scale, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply with your CV and a supporting statement explaining why you'd like to join Bond and what you'll bring to the role.
We are partnering exclusively with Bryony Thomas at Allen Lane. For an informal conversation about the role, get in touch via the agency website.

Start date: After October half term 2026, with training in advance.
What we’re looking for:
We're looking for people who are passionate about maths and want to help bring positive change to the young people we support. You should have a strong conceptual understanding of mathematics and the enthusiasm to inspire others with it. You should also be highly organised and self-motivated, with the drive to make a real difference.
We exist to serve pupils from backgrounds that are under-represented in university mathematics, and believe that we do this better when our team includes people who are from these backgrounds themselves. If you consider yourself to be from a background where progressing to university mathematics is not the norm then we strongly encourage you to apply.
About Axiom Maths
Axiom Maths is a maths education charity on a mission to help every child with the heart and head for maths realise the potential of their power - especially those whose potential is too often held back by disadvantage. Every year 30,000 children who were top performers at the end of primary school don’t go on to get top GCSE grades in maths. We aim to change that by partnering with schools across England and Wales to run fully-funded in-school or online maths circles. Pupils tackle challenging and rewarding maths problems in a supportive social group where the subject is valued.
About the role
This is an exciting chance to share your passion for maths, challenge young minds and nurture mathematical talent in your local community.
As a Maths Excellence Tutor, you will lead weekly extracurricular maths circles sessions with small groups of carefully selected high-attaining pupils at local schools. These aren't ordinary lessons. Axiom Maths is a taught enrichment programme that takes pupils beyond the school curriculum. Pupils tackle challenging and rewarding problems together, lose themselves in mathematical thinking, and leave each session a little more confident in who they are as mathematicians.
You will typically lead a minimum of 3 maths circles per week, where available. You will be working with our regional School Partnerships team who will support with the schools you are working in and keep you connected with what is happening across the region. Your schools will have a designated contact who will offer insights and guidance to help your maths circles thrive. You will be provided with training, introductory videos, and curriculum materials for every session, so you can focus on what matters: sparking curiosity and building the next generation of mathematicians.
There are no mandatory set hours, but the role is best suited to candidates available between 3:00pm-5pm on at least 3 weekdays. You can indicate any regular unavailability in your application.
Applications: Please note, your application must include the video submission to be considered.
The duties of this role include
Prepare for each session: Watch the introductory video, work through the problems yourself, read the guidance notes and think about how you'll draw the maths out of your pupils.
Lead the Axiom Maths curriculum: Lead sessions that spark curiosity, stretch thinking, and challenge and inspire.
Build a community of mathematicians: Help pupils see themselves as mathematicians and feel part of a larger network of like-minded peers supporting each other
Develop in-school connections: Work closely with in-school staff to tailor your maths circle to their school context and to meet pupil needs
Reporting and feedback:
• Report weekly on pupils' attendance and share feedback on curriculum resources so we can keep improving them together
• Report to schools how your pupils are progressing as mathematicians
• Complete mentor surveys to help shape the programme
General:
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils at all times
• Adhere to data protection, confidentiality and IT policies
• Attend initial and ongoing training and take an active part in our quality assurance process
You should apply if you

we are one team.
Are passionate about maths and have a strong conceptual understanding of it

You must have

We would encourage you to apply, even if you don’t believe you meet every one of our criteria.
