We are looking for a Falls Prevention Service Coordinator to increasing falls prevention awareness ensuring people aged 50+ in Barking and Dagenham are aware of and connected to local and national resources to stay active and healthy
As part of the programme, you will be developing and coordinating our programme of falls prevention exercise opportunities for older people in Barking & Dagenham including Otago, Chair Based Exercises, Tai Chi classes, Nordic Walking, etc.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support the extension of our existing Redbridge Falls Prevention Service in Barking & Dagenham.
As the Falls Prevention Service Coordinator you will be responsible for delivering falls awareness sessions, recruitment of Exercise Instructors, service promotion and recruitment of beneficiaries. You will also be responsible for sourcing suitable venues across Barking & Dagenham to deliver the exercise classes, ensure accurate data collection and monitoring for the service and facilitate access to services available in the community.
As part of the project you will be line managing the Trusted Assessor working on the programme to support people aged 50+ access small aids and adaptations to reduce the risk of falls and liaising with other key staff working on the project including Voices of Experience Coordinator and Nail Cutting Technician to ensure successful delivery of the project.
We require experience and understanding of proactive community approaches to support older people to keep active and experience of working in either health, social care or voluntary sector liaising with relevant professionals. You will need knowledge and interest in management of falls, good interpersonal skills, project management and data collection skills. You will also need good computer skills and abilities to use databases. An appropriate DBS Disclosure will be carried out for this post.

Single Homeless Project's (SHP’s) Camden Housing First service is expanding, and we’re looking for a passionate and skilled worker to join an innovative team supporting people with long histories of rough sleeping, multiple exclusion and co-occurring needs. This includes a new and important focus on supporting couples who have been rough sleeping and will be accommodated separately in their own self-contained flats, while receiving intensive, relational and trauma-informed support.
Based from King’s Cross, you’ll work across the community and in people’s homes, carrying a small caseload so you can offer flexible, persistent and person-centred support that is shaped around each person’s strengths, safety, needs and goals. You’ll build trust with people who may have had difficult experiences of services, working at their pace while keeping a strong focus on housing sustainment, wellbeing, risk, choice and recovery.
You won’t be doing this work alone. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team and will work closely with statutory services, housing partners and specialist colleagues including health, psychology, Solace, occupational therapy and perpetrator support. With safety at the heart of the work, you’ll play a key role in supporting people where relationships, trauma, exploitation, abuse or external risk may be part of their lives. The Development Team secures vital funding to support core programming and public engagement, exhibitions, collections care and major capital projects at Royal Museums Greenwich. We work with philanthropists, companies and trusts & foundations, building a community of generous and loyal supporters from our Patrons Circle and legacies to major grants and corporate partners. Our current focus is to secure a team target of £2M revenue income in this financial year, and deliver the funding needed to deliver First Light, a landmark capital transformation of the Royal Observatory Greenwich.
First Light is an £85M project to deliver an ambitious schedule of much needed repair to the unique built heritage, vital capital improvements to the site plus an embedded programme of activities to build the nation’s science capital. A focus on physical, cultural, intellectual and financial access will ensure that everyone can enjoy, and benefit from, all the Observatory has to offer.
Aiming to break ground winter 2025 and reopen in spring 2028, First Light will affirm the Royal Observatory as THE centre for the public understanding and enjoyment of astronomy - a place of awe and wonder.
This is an exciting time to join the Development Team as we begin to plan a high-profile public campaign, seek to secure a principal gift to close the campaign and liaise with our ambassadors to build our reach and reputation.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager: Development Business Operations, the Campaign Manager, First Light will deliver vital fundraising activity in support of this capital campaign - working with colleagues to maximise fundraising opportunities, engage supporters and ensure the successful delivery of campaign events, communications and donor engagement activity.
Key responsibilities include to lead delivery of the First Light fundraising campaign to agreed objectives and timescales through the creation of fundraising materials and webpages and the delivery of a successful public fundraising campaign. The role will manage regular campaign communications for all stakeholders, co-lead on the organisation and delivery of a gala fundraising dinner in 2027 and coordinate major donor meetings and events for the campaign. There is also the opportunity to travel through the management of a fundraising visit to the USA in 2027.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of planning and delivering events. They will have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks. They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong teamworking skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships.
This is a full-time, fixed term role until 30 June 2028 in Band 5 - Management and Proficient Specialists. Core hours of work will be 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 9am - 5pm, with an additional hour to be agreed upon with management. Occasional evening and weekend working will be required to ensure the successful delivery of First Light campaign events.
Salary: £38,568 per annum.

The Philanthropy Team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. The team consists of 15 staff. Impetus has an annual income of c.£11 million which we are looking to grow significantly within the next few years. The team is led by two Directors of Philanthropy and Partnerships.

The Head of Engagement will shape the strategic direction and lead the delivery of a high-quality programme of volunteering and skilled pro bono support, creating meaningful outcomes for portfolio partners while delivering engaging and rewarding experiences for supporters. The postholder will ensure that engagement opportunities align with Impetus’ investment priorities and organisational objectives, respond to donor interests, and maximise impact for the young people and charities we serve.
The role combines strategic leadership, relationship management, programme innovation and operational oversight. Working closely with colleagues across Philanthropy and Investment, and engaging regularly with Public Affairs and senior leaders, the Head of Engagement will build, steward and deepen relationships with a wide network of corporate partners, major donors, and highly skilled volunteers.
The postholder will also lead and develop the Engagement team, comprising the Engagement Manager and Engagement Officer, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing culture that enables exceptional delivery, continuous improvement and professional growth.
As a key member of the Philanthropy leadership team, the Head of Engagement will play a central role in expanding and strengthening Impetus' supporter network, developing innovative opportunities for supporters to contribute their time and expertise, and ensuring our volunteering and pro bono programmes continue to evolve in response to the changing needs of young people, charities and partners.

The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is an independent charitable foundation established in Portugal in 1956. It is one of the largest European foundations, with headquarters in Lisbon and offices in London (the UK Branch) and Paris. The Foundation's mission is to promote the development of individuals and organisations, through art, science, education, and charity, for a more equitable and sustainable society.
The Communications and Programmes Officer will work with colleagues to support the delivery of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation UK Branch's strategy. This post will help deliver the UK Branch's communications activity and support the UK programme's grant-making and projects.
The UK Branch aims to strengthen arts and civil society ecosystems and emphasises transnational collaboration between Portugal (where the Foundation is headquartered) and the UK. Our grantmaking programme has three focus areas: arts opportunities, NGO capacity-building and climate-health. We fund and support partner organisations working in these areas and directly deliver projects in-line with our programme goals. The UK Branch also collaborates on flagship international initiatives of the Foundation, including the Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity and the Alliance for Socially Engaged Arts.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• To assist the Project Team Leader/senior worker in ensuring holistic (mental, physical, emotional, spiritual) support is provided to people in accordance with the ethos and values of Oasis Community Housing.
• Work with Housing First individuals to help them articulate their goals and aspirations offering personal, therapeutic, and emotional support. The work will be informed by core Housing First principles.
• Undertake comprehensive needs and risk assessments with each allocated resident.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Housing First individuals to enable person centred support, promoting personal choice and wellbeing. This will be done through regular contact, including visits to individuals’ homes and appropriate community settings.
• Be adaptive and flexible, resilient to challenges and rejections, to support the stability and progression of Housing First individuals to achieve personalised outcomes.
• Liaise with accommodation providers and actively encourage Housing First individuals to move into appropriate Housing First accommodation of their choice.
• Identify barriers to acquiring and maintaining accommodation and provide support, including practical help with furniture, benefits advice, budgeting, neighbour relations and liaising with landlords.
• Offer advice, guidance, and support on ways in which substance misuse and other harmful activities can be practiced more safely. This includes anticipating and supporting the reduction of harmful challenges while maximising opportunities.
• Support individuals in attending AA/NA and taking first steps to address their substance misuse issues.
• Be empowered and persistent in advocating for individuals to access all services, including reconciliation work with agencies, if required.
• Develop, maintain and coordinate effective working relationships with external agencies, promoting effective communication for and about individuals ensuring the Housing First project is widely known and promoted.
• Identify cases requiring further help (specialist advice, alternative support) referring and supporting engagement as appropriate.
• Support individuals to access community resources to develop positive peer networks and meaningful leisure opportunities, including social, recreational, sport, faith, learning and arts.
• Regularly review individuals support plans to update, maintain accurate monitoring and evaluation records using InForm, including detailed information on people worked with.
• Actively participate in achieving targets as set by the Housing First senior/Manager.
• Actively engage with supervision with line manager, including review of training needs.
