This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraising or communications professional who wants to make a genuine difference in a values-led organisation.

Reporting to the Chief Delivery Officer and working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will lead fundraising, public sector contracting and communications activity. About You

You will be an experienced leader with a strong understanding of fundraising and relationship management. You may already be working at Head of level or be ready to take the next step in your career.

Cranstoun are proud to work with the West Midlands Police Crime and Commissioner to deliver the Cranstoun Arrest Referral Service within the custody suites of West Midlands Police, and West Midlands Courts, offering drug and alcohol using offenders the opportunity to break the cycle of substance related crime.

Are you currently working as a substance use worker, probation officer, or could you bring transferable skills and experience to our team? Are you a good listener? You will work between police custody and criminal courts. You will assess, advise and refer offenders, providing them the opportunity to access treatment to address their substance use. Working with courts you will promote the use of Community Sentence Treatment Requirements (Drug Rehabilitations Requirements and Alcohol Treatment Requirements) amongst all court professionals and the judiciary, contributing to Pre Sentence Reports and advocate for our service users.

You will be responsible for delivering all elements of substance use work including assertive engagement, harm reduction support (including naloxone provision), as well as other associated duties. You need to have an understanding of the issues faced by people who use drugs and alcohol, and who commit crime, and be dedicated to delivering a service that supports these individuals to make positive changes to their behaviour, health and well-being.

All roles within this service are subject to enhanced DBS checks and West Midlands Police vetting.

An exciting role has arisen to join Westway Trust as a Teacher working part-time at an after-school club on a Traveller site in North Kensington. You will be an energetic and enthusiastic qualified teacher with experience of working with children from Early Years Foundation Stage through to Key Stage 2. You will play a key role in raising the children’s attainment and achievement at school, and will be committed to enhancing the lives of children in the local Traveller community.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• To contribute to the raising of attainment and achievement of children from the Traveller community. With particular focus on reading, writing & spelling.
• To provide out of hours teaching at the mini-club across the Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, up to age 8.
• Help children access learning activities through a range of support strategies including ICT.
• Mostly one to one teaching but occasional teaching in groups
• To liaise closely with the Traveller Teacher/mentor at Oxford Gardens to share information about the children’s attainment levels, planning and the support that is needed for individual children.
• Provide objective and accurate feedback and reports if necessary on the children’s achievements and progress.
• To work in partnership with the Travellers’ families encouraging them to be involved in their children’s learning.
• Help set-up the classroom and clear down once lesson has finished.

Experience, knowledge and skills:

• Experience of teaching in one or more of the following key stages: Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 is desirable, but not essential.
• Experience working with children and their families from the Traveller community is desirable but not essential.

About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Finance and Income Operations to lead NFFN’s finance function and help strengthen the systems, controls and reporting that will support the organisation’s next stage of growth.

This is a senior leadership role at the heart of a small, ambitious and mission-led organisation. You will oversee day-to-day financial management, budgeting, management accounts, restricted funds, funder reporting and income operations. You will also help improve how finance works across NFFN, giving budget holders clearer information and helping the organisation make confident, well-informed decisions.

The role is about more than keeping the numbers moving. We are looking for someone who can help build a stronger finance function, improve internal systems, support funder confidence, and help NFFN manage a more complex mix of grants, donations, restricted funding and revenue-based delivery work.

Depending on your background, this may suit someone with strong charity finance experience, or someone from a finance, grants, funding operations or mission-led commercial background who wants to use their skills in a values-led organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

• leading day-to-day financial management, controls and reporting

• preparing budgets, forecasts, management accounts and financial updates

• supporting budget holders with clear, practical financial information

• improving finance systems, processes, approvals and reporting tools

• overseeing restricted funds, grant conditions, funder reporting and income tracking

• supporting funding applications with budgets, financial information and reporting structures

• helping NFFN manage VAT, full cost recovery and different types of income as the organisation grows

• working with the CEO, CSO, Head of Fundraising, SLT, Board and external advisers

• providing line management to the Head of Fundraising and potential future roles within the finance and income operations function 

This role will suit someone who combines financial rigour with practical judgement. You will need to be comfortable working independently in a remote organisation, explaining finance clearly to non-finance colleagues, and improving systems in a way that is proportionate and realistic for a small non profit organisation.

We know this is a broad role, and we are not expecting one person to have done everything before. We are looking for someone with strong financial experience, good judgement, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in helping NFFN build the financial infrastructure it needs for the future.

This is a fully home-based role, with flexibility in how work is managed and occasional travel for team meetings and events. You will be joining a collaborative, values-led team working to support farmers, nature and a more resilient food system.

To successfully lead the Grants team and raise voluntary income from a range of Grantmakers including Trusts, Foundations and local Government grant funders contributing to an overall team target of £1-million +. Working effectively with a grants team of three, and across the organisation, you will meet team annual targets of circa £675,000 through finding new opportunities, building excellent relationships with funders and managing the team effectively. This will lead to more young people reached by Eikon’s services.

Responsibilities

Income generation

· Lead responsibility for raising current annual team target of £675,000 for restricted and unrestricted income

· Work to agreed metrices including an annual target of £220,000 - £250,000/year with a pipeline including statutory, national & regional grant funders (some being invite only).

· Develop and lead networking plan (internal/external) to secure long-term grant and statutory funding opportunities to help increase financial income year on year.

Account Management

· Lead a stewardship framework, ensuring excellent account management of funders across the team (including own portfolio)

· Lead plans for the year, thinking creatively to develop new engagement opportunities such as panels, breakfast meetings and other events

· Collaborate with other leads and managers in the team to maximise opportunities through relationships, for example Major Donors, Corporate partnerships and Individual Givers.

Management

· Line management two staff members (Senior Grants Fundraiser and Trust Fundraiser), creating a positive and supportive working culture supporting them to meet their targets

· Lead on managing pipeline information on Donorfy, being able to pull reports for information and analysis including:

o Provision of data and narrative for monthly team meetings

o Contribution to Board reporting with narrative and pipeline information

o Analysis for annual planning sessions

Quality and standards

· Ensure all staff and volunteers understand and deliver within Eikon’s safeguarding policies and practices when taking part in fundraising activities.

· Ensure all activities follow the relevant Fundraising Codes of Practice and Eikon’s Ethical Fundraising Policy.

· Prepare relevant Grant Agreements and contractual information.

· Carry out risk assessments for all activities for which you are responsible.

· Carry out required basic due diligence on new funders.

Finance and resources

· Budget responsibility with authorisation up to agreed limits

· Operate within organisational approved budgets, policies and procedures.

Communications and relationships

· Work collaboratively with the Communications Lead to devise annual communications and marketing plans, ensuring Eikon is strategically positioned externally.

· Work collaboratively with service leads ensure new services developed meet funder needs and requirements

Strategy/transformation work

· Lead on developing and delivering annual grants plan

· Participating in a Leads network, contribute regularly to organisation matters including strategies, annual plans and budgeting.

Organisational requirements

· Working hybrid, with the New Haw office as the designated place of work. Expectation to be office based 1-2 days per week with availability to attend regular external meetings across Surrey. Some may fall outside working hours and on weekends

Senior Surveyor – Property Services

Location: Southgate, London
Salary: £58,000 – £65,000 + Benefits

We are looking for an experienced Senior Surveyor to join an established Property Services team, leading the delivery of high-quality responsive repairs across the housing portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong surveyor with experience in social housing to play a key role in supporting a team of Surveyors, driving service improvements, resolving complex repair issues and ensuring residents receive an outstanding customer experience.

The Role

Reporting to the Regional Property Manager, you will provide technical leadership and support to the Responsive Repairs team, ensuring repairs are accurately diagnosed, delivered within agreed timescales and completed to a high standard.

You will work closely with internal teams, contractors and stakeholders to manage complex repair cases, disrepair matters and building defects while ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing technical guidance to Surveyors on complex repairs, building defects and diagnostic solutions.

• Supporting and developing the Responsive Repairs team to deliver a consistent, customer-focused service.

• Managing contractor performance and building effective working relationships to improve service delivery and value for money.

• Monitoring Surveyor workloads, productivity and repair quality to ensure performance targets are achieved.

• Using the NHF Schedule of Rates (SOR), basket rates and technical knowledge to accurately scope and validate repairs.

• Assisting with complaint resolution, disrepair cases and complex building issues.

• Producing regular performance reports and identifying trends to drive continuous service improvement.

• Managing expenditure within agreed budgets and ensuring works are referred appropriately between responsive and planned maintenance teams.

• Promoting compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM Regulations and organisational policies.

• Participating in the Out of Hours rota when required.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines excellent technical knowledge with strong leadership and communication skills.

You will have:

• Proven experience managing or mentoring a surveying team within a responsive repairs or property maintenance environment.

• A strong background in diagnosing complex building defects and delivering responsive repairs within social housing.

• Experience using the NHF Schedule of Rates (SOR), basket rates and repair specifications.

• Sound knowledge of damp and mould diagnostics, building pathology and housing repairs.

• Experience managing contractors and driving high standards of quality, performance and customer service.

• Good understanding of HHSRS, CDM Regulations and Health & Safety legislation.

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and make informed decisions.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to residents and colleagues.

• RICS qualification (or working towards an equivalent professional qualification).

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use.

The Finance Director plays a critical role in ensuring HOST’s financial management is robust, compliant, transparent and scalable across both our internal operations and our project hosting services. The role in a nutshell 

The Finance Director leads the Finance Team and is responsible for HOST’s financial management, ensuring strong compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

The Finance Director is part of the HOST Leadership Team and would have line management responsibility for three Finance Managers within the Finance team. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Oversee HOST’s financial management, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and relevant regulatory requirements. 

• Develop and monitor budgets for both HOST operations and hosted projects. 

• Provide regular financial reporting to the Leadership Team and Board. 

• Lead efforts to improve financial systems, controls and workflows. 

• Ensure robust financial oversight of hosted projects and HOST’s internal systems. 

• Contribute as an integral member of the Leadership Team, bringing financial insight to strategic and operational decision-making. 

• Manage cashflow strategy, including multi-currency considerations. 

• Oversee delivery of monthly management accounts. 

• Develop and report on profitability across HOST’s range of services and offerings. 

• Support HOST’s strategic direction by working with the Leadership Team on KPIs and organisational dashboards.

• Restricted donor financial reports, ensuring alignment with accounting records and donor compliance requirements. 

• Payroll services for HOST and hosted projects.

• Records of income and expenditure are maintained: grants, donations, receivables, and consultancy receipts, invoices 

• Transparent and accurate financial data in Xero and other interconnected databases

• Month-end reporting process by preparing management reports and accounts, such as income/expenditure statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and KPIs

• Payroll service for HOST and hosted projects

• Managing VAT preparation and submission 

Knowledge and Experience 

• Proven experience as an SME finance leader 

• Qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA or CIMA. 

• Experience implementing financial controls and processes. 

• Multi-currency cashflow and treasury management experience. 

• Experience setting budgets and forecasts. 

• Internal audit experience. 

• Ability to work under pressure and deliver projects to tight deadlines. 

• Minimum 5 years’ people management experience.

The Role
