About the Role

As Chief Executive, you will combine inspirational leadership with a strong, hands-on approach to fundraising and commercial direction. Acting as a visible ambassador for the Youth Zone, you will build trust with partners across the city, influence at a regional and national level, and lead with integrity, creativity and purpose to ensure lasting impact for young people and the communities we serve.

Alongside fundraising leadership, you will provide strategic direction, financial clarity and cultural leadership to a values-driven organisation focused relentlessly on young people. About You

We are looking for a proven leader with significant fundraising experience who can demonstrate success in building long-term relationships with major donors (£25k+), corporate partners, trusts and statutory funders, and who can confidently translate ambition into a diverse, resilient income pipeline that secures the future of the organisation.

You will have experience of:

• Successful senior leadership experience within a charity or similar complex organisation.
• Experience of hands-on fundraising, such as securing and stewarding major donors (£25k+), corporates, trusts and statutory funding.
• Developing and delivering organisational strategies and business plans.
• Leading financially sustainable organisations with strong governance and controls.
• Developing and overseeing high-quality youth-focused services or programmes.
• Working within multi-agency environments, particularly around safeguarding.

We are SIFA Fireside, the support service for any adult in Birmingham that faces homelessness. For 40 years we have supported Birmingham’s most vulnerable people through Homelessness Intervention, Prevention and Recovery services.

The purpose of the role is to support the development of SIFA Fireside through effective communications and campaigns. This role reports directly to the Head of Fundraising and Communications and is critical in raising our profile, raising funds and communicating the difference that SIFA Fireside and our supporters make to people experiencing homelessness in Birmingham. 1. Overview

Cerebral Palsy Sport (CP Sport) is recruiting three Regional Programme Delivery Officers to support the delivery of the “Together We Can” Young Ambassador Programme across England.

This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with young people with cerebral palsy (CP), supporting them to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and lead social action within their communities.

These roles will be central to delivering a national programme across eight regional hubs, working closely with young people, partners, and communities to create meaningful and lasting impact.

2. Contract Details

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Youth Outreach Practitioner – South Yorkshire

Wherever they may be in the world, they face violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation. 

Founded in 1996, Railway Children has dedicated over a quarter of a century to developing outstanding practice and services for street connected children. With projects in the UK, India and Tanzania, we aim to reach these children as soon as they are in danger and intervene before an abuser can.  As we embark on our new strategy to 2030, we have ambitious plans to ensure no child is left behind, wherever we work. 

The role 
We are looking for a Youth Outreach Practitioner for our South Yorkshire team and are keen to receive applications from those living in and around Sheffield or Doncaster.  You’ll be part of a dynamic team delivering Railway Children’s programme in the UK, in partnership with British Transport Police (BTP).  

As a Youth Outreach Practitioner, you’ll play a key role in keeping children safe from harm by engaging in patrols to identify and safeguard young people (aged 10-17) at risk of criminal and sexual exploitation, county lines, missing from home, homelessness or family breakdown.  

You will also work closely with our Youth Practitioner, supporting a number of young people who have been identified or referred for 1-1 direct support.

Both aspects of the role will involve working directly with young people and their families to reduce risks, as well as building strong relationships other social care, Police, third sector agencies and local services in the area.  

Your base would be at Sheffield or Doncaster Railway Station with regular travel between these stations plus Barnsley and Rotherham stations and working across these boroughs. This role does involve working regular unsociable hours including evenings and weekends.   

 About you 

You will have experience of successfully engaging and supporting young people and families as well as working in an outreach or similar setting, in a creative and engaging way with young people with a range of needs and vulnerabilities.    

A relevant qualification in an appropriate discipline in working with children and families, community or youth work or equivalent experience is desirable. Alongside this relevant training in safeguarding and/or issues relevant to vulnerable young people and families is essential.    

You will need to have experience of providing front line support to safeguard some of the most vulnerable young people in the UK.   

Experience of developing productive relationships/partnerships with a variety of organisations such as 3rd sector group, local services and statutory services such a social care to support the needs of vulnerable young people and families is a must.

About the role
This is a specialist role within income management, focused on accounts that have progressed to legal stages. You will manage cases from court preparation through to enforcement, including eviction where necessary, balancing firm action with a fair and supportive approach.

We are seeking an Access to Justice (A2J) Coordinator to coordinate the provision of vital diagnostic immigration advice for vulnerable migrants. The role will coordinate the diagnostic advice appointment pathway from start to finish. This includes:

• Receiving, processing and triaging new enquiries for support

An internationally recognised cultural organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Chief Financial Officer to provide clear financial leadership during a critical period of organisational transition and transformation.

This is a high-profile opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader who can bring strategic insight across the charity's multiple income streams. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the Interim CFO will act as a key strategic adviser to the executive leadership team and Board. Working on our Health Charity Partnership (HCP) with counterparts at the British Heart Foundation, and Cancer Research UK, this award winning, UK-wide partnership aims to improve the health of the nation using the retailer’s reach and influence.

You will be responsible for leading and delivering income generation, project managing strategic activities, and delivering against shared and charity specific goals. You will also contribute to the development and success of the Account Management Team, and support cross team-projects and take on additional tasks as required.

This role will also see you line manage a Partnership Officer (Account Management) who supports on the delivery of the Tesco Partnership.

Role description:

This role works very closely with colleagues across multiple internal teams including our Clinical Team (working with a Health Lead), our Marketing team (including Social Media Manager, Senior Marketing Manager, and Brand and Creative colleagues) and our Policy Team. This role will need to be well networked across teams including Nations and Regions teams and Strategy and Planning.

Externally, this role will work closely with peers at the British Heart Foundation, and Cancer Research UK. The role will also work with colleagues at Tesco, which will also include their PR and communications agencies.

You will also play an active role in driving and supporting best practice across the team and charity and will also contribute to cross-team projects and other tasks as required.

The ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate will have account management experience with a track record of delivering six and seven-figure strategic partnerships either within a charity or corporate setting. Good time management and organisational skills are required to manage a busy and diverse workload. You’ll need strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and negotiate effectively with a range of stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Using your excellent communication skills, you will be able to convey ideas succinctly and persuasively to create impactful proposals and other communications.

You’ll have good understanding of commercial principles, understand what drives businesses, and how to lead and deliver multi-stream income generation that are mutually beneficial through partnership.  You’ll have a passion for identifying new financial and non-financial opportunities and be proactive in your approach to seeking these out. Having a collaborative approach to work is vital in this role, so you’ll build excellent relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders, operating with trust, respect, and transparency.

About the role

SWWFL, a wholly-owned trading subsidiary of 8 regional Wildlife Trusts, is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to take on the role of Non-Executive Chair of the Board. This is a pivotal leadership position, providing direction to the Board of Directors, supporting the Chief Executive Officer, and strengthening relationships with our owning Wildlife Trusts and partnerships with client Trusts.

You will also serve as a Company Director of SWWFL, sharing responsibility for the oversight, stewardship, and long-term success of the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a purpose-driven organisation supporting the work of The Wildlife Trusts across the extended South West.

Key responsibilities

As Chair, you will:

· Lead the Board of Directors, ensuring effective governance, decision-making and accountability

· Work closely with the CEO, providing both support and constructive challenge

· Ensure strong strategic alignment between SWWFL and its owning Wildlife Trusts and client Wildlife Trusts

· Oversee financial performance, risk management and regulatory compliance

· Chair Board meetings and ensure effective participation from all Directors

· Act as an ambassador for SWWFL with external stakeholders and partner Wildlife Trusts

· Lead the annual appraisal and development of the CEO

Governance and Director responsibilities

In addition to Chair duties, the postholder will fulfil the responsibilities of a SWWFL Company Director, including:

· Acting in accordance with the SWWFL Memorandum & Articles of Association and Members’ Agreement

· Exercising independent judgement, care and diligence

· Ensuring robust governance, financial oversight and risk management

· Supporting long-term sustainable success of the business

Terms of appointment

· The Chair is appointed by majority vote of the Board

· Term: normally 3 years, may be renewed, with annual performance review by the Board and owning Trusts

· The Chair role is remunerated, via a contracting agreement, in recognition of additional responsibilities

· The person appointed must, therefore, have appropriate and genuine self-employed status (or equivalent) to receive payment

· Where a Trustee of an owning Wildlife Trust is appointed, they cannot receive remuneration in line with SWWFL governance arrangements

· All Directors (including the Chair in their Director capacity) are subject to SWWFL governance requirements

Time commitment

The Chair is expected to commit around 4 days per month, including:

· Regular meetings with the CEO and Finance Manager

· 6 Board and Stakeholder meetings annually

· 4 Finance & Remuneration Committee meetings

· Meetings with auditors and owning Trust CEOs

Some travel across the South West will be required, although many meetings are held remotely.

Eligibility

The Chair does not need to be an employee of an owning Wildlife Trust. However, they do need to be a member of their local Wildlife Trust, and they will operate within a Board that includes Directors who are drawn from the owning Trusts:

Avon, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire & Isle of Wight, Somerset, Wiltshire, and Worcestershire Wildlife Trusts.
