Head and neck cancer is one of the fastest-rising cancers in the UK, now affecting around 14,000 people every year — the 5th most common cancer among men, 7th overall, and the fastest growing among young people. Too often, symptoms are missed or misunderstood, and more than half of cases are diagnosed at a late stage. That means compromised survival rates, more invasive treatment, and a recovery that can mean a new way of eating, speaking and living.

The Role
We're looking for a Trusts, Foundations and Corporate Fundraiser to join our small, ambitious team. You'll bring specialist experience securing income from trusts, foundations and corporate partners, and you'll be confident building a robust funding pipeline and reporting on project delivery to funders.
We are looking for someone adaptable and hands-on, willing to engage fully with the breadth of activity a small charity requires. The Communications Manager provides operational leadership for CLAPA's communications delivery, ensuring communications and marketing activity is effectively planned, prioritised and delivered in support of the charity's strategic objectives.
Reporting to the Head of Communications and Marketing, the postholder is responsible for translating the communications strategy into coordinated day-to-day delivery. They will oversee the planning, scheduling and operational management of communications activity across the organisation, ensuring work is appropriately prioritised, resources are allocated effectively and projects are delivered to a consistently high standard.
The role directly manages CLAPA's Communications Officers, embedding effective planning, briefing and workflow processes that enable the team to deliver proactive, creative and high-quality communications.
Acting as the primary operational lead for communications delivery, the postholder will ensure colleagues across CLAPA receive responsive, well-planned communications support while maintaining clear priorities and protecting the team's capacity to deliver its best work.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Associate Solicitor will conduct civil litigation in Britain and oversee cases in England and Wales. The role requires a qualified solicitor with experience of running litigious cases. We are seeking to expand our work in Britain to include civil discrimination claims, actions against the state, and media law work. The post-holder will have particular expertise in one or more of these areas. Our cases also involve data rights, freedom of information, charity law, education law, international humanitarian law, and defamation issues. The post holder will join a growing team that consists of a Senior Legal Officer, Legal Officer and a Junior Legal Officer. In addition, our British work team has an Advocacy and Communication Manager and two researchers who monitor anti-Palestinian repression. We are seeking a strategic, proactive and relationship-focused Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to lead the growth and delivery of our corporate partnerships’ portfolio. This role sits at the heart of our ambition to expand and diversify corporate income, building high-value, long-term relationships across a range of industries and cementing corporate fundraising as a core income stream for PCR.

As PCR embarks on its new five-year strategy, this role offers an exciting opportunity to build on existing foundations and lead across the full breadth of corporate engagement – from new business strategy, prospecting and pitching, to developing employee fundraising and awareness activities, managing high-value partnerships, and shaping strategic, multi‑year opportunities.

Benefits
As part of our annual leave policy, all employees receive three additional days of annual leave on top of their standard allocation of 25 days. These days are designated to cover the period when our UK office closes at the end of the calendar year, allowing all UK WaterAiders to take a well-deserved break.
These days are automatically scheduled and cannot be changed or moved. Annual leave is accrued based on your start date. If sufficient leave has not been accrued by the time of the closure, the 3 days will be taken as unpaid leave or pro-rated, depending on your circumstances.
