The generosity of individual supporters, churches and community groups enables Boaz Trust to provide accommodation and support for people seeking sanctuary, and to challenge and change the unjust systems that cause destitution, both locally and nationally. We are looking for a Fundraising Officer who will help us give supporters an excellent experience, maintain accurate fundraising records and develop opportunities for people and communities to get involved in our work. This is an exciting role which will give the right person the opportunity to work across a variety of fundraising activities and disciplines.
The relationships built and fundraising activity enabled through this role will support Boaz’s work with people who are facing or experiencing homelessness because of their insecure, changing or uncertain immigration status. Our work includes providing safe accommodation and person-centred support, while working towards our mission of ending destitution among people seeking sanctuary.
Day to day, you will provide excellent care for supporters as you process and acknowledge donations, respond to supporter enquiries and ensure that our fundraising database is functioning well and information is recorded accurately in it. You will build positive relationships with supporters, churches and community groups, arrange and deliver speaking engagements, promote sponsored events and help people find meaningful ways to raise funds for Boaz. You will work also closely with colleagues to deliver fundraising projects across the breadth of Boaz’s fundraising activity as and when these arise.
We are looking for someone who is warm, organised and attentive to detail, and who enjoys building relationships with a wide range of people. You will be confident communicating by email, telephone and in person, comfortable working with databases and financial information, and able to manage a varied workload. Day to day, you will research prospective funders, prepare persuasive applications and cases for support, and produce accurate, engaging reports showing what funders’ support has achieved. You will manage a pipeline of applications and reporting deadlines, keep our fundraising database up to date, and work closely with colleagues across Boaz to best communicate the stories, outcomes, and impact from our work. You will communicate directly with existing and potential funders by email, telephone and, where appropriate, in meetings.
We are looking for someone who enjoys building interpersonal relationships with both funders and supporters and team-mates, is skilled at communicating through writing, can turn detailed information into a clear and compelling case for support, and is organised enough to manage several deadlines at once. You will already have experience of trusts fundraising or bid writing. Background
The Lily Foundation is the UK's leading charity dedicated to advancing research, raising awareness, and providing support for individuals and families affected by mitochondrial disease ('mito'). Our vision is for a world in which every mitochondrial disease patient has a voice and access to treatment, support to improve their life and, ultimately, a cure.
Community fundraising is at the heart of Lily's success. Every year, hundreds of families, friends and local communities come together to raise funds in support of loved ones affected by mitochondrial disease. About the role
This is a varied and rewarding role supporting the delivery of Lily's community fundraising and individual giving programme. You'll be the main point of contact for many of our amazing supporters, helping individuals, families and community groups make the most of their fundraising. You'll also play a key role in developing Lily's Teams initiative, which brings together families and friends fundraising in honour or memory of someone affected by mitochondrial disease.
Alongside community fundraising, you'll support the delivery of Lily's emerging Individual Giving, Regular Giving and Legacy fundraising activity, helping to develop and deliver supporter journeys, campaigns and communications that encourage long-term engagement.

· Maintain accurate records on the CRM system (Donorfy), ensuring supporter information is up to date and using data to monitor activity and improve performance.
· Prepare regular reports and updates for the Senior Public Fundraising Manager, identifying trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues across fundraising, marketing and operations to deliver joined-up campaigns, communications and supporter experiences.
· Represent The Lily Foundation professionally and enthusiastically, acting as an ambassador for the charity and building positive relationships with supporters and partners.

Nightstop provides safe, emergency accommodation for young people facing homelessness through a network of trained volunteer hosts.
As Nightstop Volunteer Coordinator, you will help grow and strengthen this vital network. You will attract new volunteers, guide them through safer recruitment and onboarding, and ensure existing hosts feel supported, informed and valued.
Key responsibilities include:

The Southmead Project is seeking an experienced and motivated Fundraiser to support the charity’s long-term financial sustainability.
The postholder will identify, research and secure funding from trusts, foundations, charitable bodies, statutory funders and other appropriate sources. Job Purpose
Sequence ME & Long Covid is one of the most ambitious whole-genome sequencing studies ever undertaken into ME and Long Covid, co-led by Action for ME. Building on the success of DecodeME, this proposed £20 million study will use large-scale, long-read whole-genome sequencing to analyse the entire genetic code of 9,000 people with ME and 9,000 people with Long Covid - making it the world's largest 'long-read' whole-genome sequencing study of any disease.
Current funding supports project mobilisation, partnership development, and the development of the Long Covid arm of the study, including agreeing case definitions and gathering expressions of interest from people with Long Covid. Phase 2 has recently been confirmed, backed by £4.75m from the UK government and a further £174,414 from the WE&ME Foundation, and will focus on sequencing 6,000 ME/CFS samples previously collected through DecodeME using Oxford Nanopore's long-read sequencing technology, running alongside Phase 1.
You will play a pivotal role supporting the Sequence ME & Long Covid project in several different ways. Working closely with the project's management team and other team members, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of this landmark study, providing administrative support to the various people and partners involved in delivering it.
As a self-starter, you will manage a range of tasks including meeting scheduling, taking meeting minutes, preparing governance documents, event administration, and broader project support - no two days will be the same.
You will need to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times, particularly when supporting governance meetings and handling sensitive project documentation.
As a team player, you will provide comprehensive, confidential and organised administrative support, developing a deep understanding of the project and building strong, effective working relationships with colleagues, researchers and external partners.
