As a Public Fundraising Assistant, you’ll help deliver engaging face-to-face and telephone fundraising campaigns to grow Dogs Trust’s supporter base. Working in our Public Fundraising team, you’ll play a key role in helping us care for thousands of dogs across the UK.

What does this role do?
As a Public Fundraising Assistant, you will: 

• respond to public enquiries, complaints, and donation updates related to face-to-face fundraising, ensuring all communications reflect the Dogs Trust brand, tone, and procedures.
• liaise with fundraising agencies to monitor campaign performance, resolve incidents or complaints, and ensure all campaign requirements are met.
• support quality assurance by reviewing mystery shop reports, visiting fundraising sites or agencies, and providing feedback to improve performance.
• assist with administrative and campaign support tasks, including managing fundraising materials, handling database queries, and helping with copy and proofing when required.

This role is being offered as a fixed term, family leave cover contract until December 2026. Interviews are provisionally scheduled for 22nd May 2026, and will take place on Teams.

About the role 

As Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will lead our flagship partnership with Nationwide Building Society, delivering exceptional stewardship, strategic planning and measurable impact. You will work closely with colleagues across the Charity and The Royal Marsden to deliver our multi‑faceted partnership, that funds world-leading cancer research, and inspires support from across the business through a wide range of activities including sponsorship, virtual challenges, volunteering and training.

About you

You will be an experienced and driven partnerships specialist, with a strong track record of managing multi-faceted, high‑value relationships in the charity sector. Confident, creative, highly proactive and a natural leader, you will bring a blend of strategic thinking and hands‑on delivery.
 

You will bring:

• Proven success in corporate/charity partnerships or business development within the charity sector, with demonstrable experience in managing seven-figure, complex, multi-faceted partnerships, with a strong track-record of delivering income against ambitious targets 

• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders 

• Strong negotiation and influencing ability, with experience of delivering high‑impact presentations

JOB PURPOSE

The role of the Policy and Public Affairs Manager is a high-impact role, central to designing and delivering Magic Breakfast’s national policy and public affairs strategy in England. The role holder will lead the development of evidence-based policy positions and work collaboratively to drive forward strategic, integrated and impactful advocacy campaigns to successfully influence decision-makers, policy change, and funding frameworks aligned with our key objectives. Specifically, you will also lead the design and implementation of our new workstream to expand school breakfast provision to secondary schools and early years settings, alongside our work to ensure the effective implementation of the Free Breakfast Club Programme.

More broadly, you will keep abreast of political developments relevant to Magic Breakfast - proactively identifying opportunities to respond, influence and shape the debate across the school food system and provide strategic, analytical and timely advice to the Senior Leadership Team.

Using your excellent communication skills, you will be able to translate complex policy into tailored and effective communications, policy briefings, positions and submissions, and will play a lead role in confidently engaging external stakeholders including UK Government Ministers, Parliamentarians, special advisers, officials and sector partners.

Social Prescribing Link Worker

The Role

Social prescribing link workers will work as a key part of the primary care network (PCN) multi-disciplinary team. Social prescribing can help PCNs to strengthen community and personal resilience and reduces health and wellbeing inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, such as debt, poor housing and physical inactivity, by increasing people’s active involvement with their local communities. It particularly works for people with long term conditions (including support for mental health), for people who are lonely or isolated, or have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with direct supervision from the Programme Lead/Senior Link Worker and input from the PCN’s Clinical Lead GP, take referrals from staff in GP practices within the local PCN.
• Provide personalised support to individuals, their families and carers to take control of their health and wellbeing, live independently and improve their health outcomes, as a key member of the PCN multi-disciplinary team.
• Developing trusting relationships and taking a holistic approach, based on the person’s priorities and co-produce a simple personalised care and support plan to improve health and wellbeing, introducing or reconnecting people to community groups and statutory services.
• Work collaboratively with all local partners to contribute towards supporting local community groups and organisations, making themselves aware of local resources and “assets” through mapping and then building a relationship with these organisations.  Also sharing intelligence regarding any gaps or problems identified in local provision with commissioners and local authorities. 
• Social prescribing link workers will work collaboratively with GP’s and have a role in promoting social prescribing and educating non-clinical and clinical staff within their PCN multi-disciplinary teams on the benefits of social prescribing
• Raise awareness of other services available within the community and how and when patients can access them. Linking into the work of Neighbourhood Network Schemes, locality Adult Social Care & Community Mental Health Teams.

About You

As a Social Prescribing Link Worker, you will have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (Health & Social Care, Health Trainer, Health Improvement, Community Family Worker, Psychology) or be working towards/willing to work towards.

You will have:

• Demonstrable commitment to professional and personal development
• Experience of working directly in a community based context (including unpaid work)
• Experience of supporting people with a mental health need and or complexities/vulnerabilities
• Experience of delivering one to one support
• Experience of partnership/collaborative working and of building relationships across a variety of organisations
• Knowledge of VCSE and community services in the locality
• Understanding of the wider determinants of health, including social, economic and environmental factors and their impact on communities, individuals, their families and carers
• Understanding of the barriers faced by those living in isolation
• Knowledge of IT systems including ability to use word processing skills, emails, the internet and able to create simple plans and reports
• Ability to complete paperwork, keep records and carry out own administration

Therapeutic Management

• To manage and support a staff team, including the Head of Active Recovery, a Counselling Lead, Nexus Counselling Manager, a Family Support Group Facilitator, and administrators.

• To oversee all of the charity’s therapeutic services and ensure that efficient and high-quality services are delivered.

Client Work

Person Specification

ESSENTIAL:

• Diploma in Counselling (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited course or equivalent); and to have BACP accreditation or be working towards BACP accreditation or equivalent.

• To be a registered member of BACP, UKCP, NCS or equivalent professional body, with over 5 years of supervised counselling experience.

About the role
 
This role builds on work that we have been doing for decades to support and empower LGBT people who have experienced domestic abuse. Your work will enable LGBT people to feel supported, heard and empowered in the face of abuse and violence, and pave the way to a safer future for our community.
 
You will sit alongside our other advocates supporting LGBT people facing abuse or violence. You will work directly with LGBT victims/survivors of domestic abuse, offering them a space to talk and think through options, helping them plan what they want to do, and offering assistance in getting what they need from services. Your work will focus on needs specifically related experiences of abuse or violence, including issues such as wellbeing, support with the criminal and civil justice process, safety and access to other services to enable survivors to cope and recover. You will be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach to understanding your clients’ needs, while remaining boundaried and mindful of self-care.
 
You will work with mainstream services to ensure the voices and experiences of LGBT survivors are represented in order to make change for our community at a local and national level. You will also work closely with key partner organisations by attending meetings and have the opportunity to take part in external work to ensure a joined-up approach among services working with LGBT people facing abuse and violence.
