We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Support Services Manager to lead BBS UK’s support services for children, adults and families living with Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS). 

BBS UK is a national charity supporting people affected by this rare genetic condition. We work closely with NHS specialist clinics and other services to help individuals and families access the support they need and navigate health, education, social care and welfare systems. 

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small, dedicated team providing practical support, advocacy and guidance to people living with BBS and their families. 

The role includes team leadership, safeguarding responsibility and service development. You will help ensure people receive safe, responsive and person-centred support while continuing to improve and strengthen our services. 

About the Role 

As Support Services Manager, you will oversee BBS UK’s clinics support and advice services. Working closely with the CEO, NHS clinics and partner organisations, you will: 

• Lead and support a small remote-working team

• Provide supervision and safeguarding leadership to Patient Liaison Officers and Advice Workers

• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the organisation

• Oversee caseloads, service quality and risk management

• Support staff wellbeing, learning and development

• Build positive relationships with NHS and external partners

• Help develop and improve BBS UK’s support services

This is a home-based role with travel to specialist clinics in London and Birmingham, plus occasional meetings and events. Travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with BBS UK policies.

The Sir Martin Gilbert Learning Centre is an educational charity whose mission is to educate young people about who Jews are and the contributions they have made to society. Our free workshops are integrated with the National Curriculum and rooted in academic research. The role

This is far more than a management job. As our first School Partnerships Manager, you'll lead our outreach to schools and play a central role in shaping how the Centre develops and grows. Working closely with the Director, you'll drive the number of schools accessing our programmes, deepen relationships with existing partners, and help design our Focus School programme from the ground up.

Volunteer Centre Hackney is a thriving charity (annual income circa £1.1m, with 29 paid staff) providing volunteering infrastructure to the voluntary sector across the City of London and the London borough of Hackney. We support over 1500 residents a year to realise their skills and passions through volunteering and social action, and to share these for the benefit of others. This is a hands-on and strategic role for an experienced fundraiser who thrives in a small to medium sized charity environment. You will have autonomy to develop a whole new fundraising strategy, utilise diverse fundraising methods, and build and develop new project ideas and partnerships. You will lead on income generation primarily through sourcing and applying to trusts and foundations, and with the potential to build new corporate partnerships, community campaigns and individual giving. You will build authentic relationships with funders and supporters, and together with VCH colleagues, will identify new programme models as ways to generate income. You will contribute to the development and production of compelling stories, evidence and marketing and build and maintain the infrastructure needed to track and achieve progress against annual income targets.

Post holders need to have excellent communication skills, to represent the charity in writing and in person. You must be enthusiastic, self-motivating and confident to work primarily alone, but also able to engage and collaborate with staff from across the organisation to share information and impact evidence to support your role. Purpose of the Job  

Deliver excellent supporter services function to support growth in public fundraising.  Ensure excellence in supporter experience and care. Support the efficient and compliant delivery and financial reconciliation of our fundraising campaigns and activities. Work across the Fundraising, Finance, Info Centre, and Marketing teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage supporter complaints processes, acting as first point of resolution, ensuring complaints are actioned and responded to in line with FareShare complaints policy.
• Support the Supporter Services and Compliance Manager to develop and deliver management information related to supporter complaints.
• Work with the Finance team to deliver processes to support donor refunds and cancellations.
• Support the Supporter Services and Compliance Manager to manage relationships with external fulfilment houses, payment providers (Stripe, GoCardless), and fundraising platforms (Enthuse, Just Giving, CAF, CAF America) on behalf of FareShare to ensure compliance and optimal supporter experience.

About the Youth Endowment Fund

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.

In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children becoming involved in violence. Our mission is to find what works and build a movement to put it into practice.

A big part of the movement that we need to build is in the world of education. We need to inspire and connect with education leaders across England and Wales to spread what works and make our country safer for some of our most vulnerable children. We are looking for someone to lead on making this happen.

Key Responsibilities

We have made good progress building the evidence of what works within and around education to reduce violence, including publishing our Education, Children and Violence Guidance which provides school, college and alternative provision leaders with five evidence-based recommendations to help prevent children’s involvement in violence. We have also published Education Policy, Children and Violence which provides eight recommendations for policy makers and system leaders. In 2025, we also launched the Education Practice Insight Creator (a self-assessment tool for education leaders) and a number of collaborations with leading sector organisations. But the big risk is that despite all of these efforts change is not made or sustained within the sector.

This is where you come in. We are recruiting for two Senior Change Manager roles within our Education Change Team. Both roles will support education leaders to put in place and sustain evidence-informed practice to prevent children’s involvement in violence.

Senior Change Manager – Education Network

You will design, lead and grow a national network of education leaders, supporting them to put in place and sustain evidence-informed practice.

This includes delivering a programme of network activity (online sessions, in-person events, collaborative projects and a national conference), building a strong professional community, and generating insight to inform our wider work. Initially, this will focus on a new programme - the Safety in and Around Schools Partnership – which will involve supporting a network of up to 250 schools.

Focus: Working at scale – developing the offer, convening leaders, and building a national network.

Best suited to: Those with experience of building and facilitating communities of practice, communicating at scale, and convening groups of leaders.

Senior Change Manager – Practice Change

You will be working directly with education leaders and local partners to support the implementation and sustaining of evidence-informed practice. This includes facilitating training, providing 1-2-1 support, developing resources, and working with clusters of schools and multi-agency partners in local areas.

Focus: Working directly with leaders to build their capacity to lead, implement and sustain evidence-informed practice change.

Best suited to: Those with experience of leading in education and working closely with school leaders to support evidence-informed implementation.

The 999 Club is a small charity doing big things with local people facing homelessness. For over 30 years we’ve been in the heart of Deptford providing warm welcomes and wraparound services ensuring those who need us are given the best chance of leaving homelessness behind for good.  

Our Gateway Drop-In Centre offers nutritious meals, laundry and medical facilities, showers, IT access, phone charging , a safe space to rest and a dedicated Women’s Sanctuary.  

When members feel ready, our team of expert staff are on hand to support them into suitable accommodation where possible, secure income via paid work or benefits, and provide immigration signposting for those who need it. Once housed, our Move+ programme continues to work with them to ensure they settle into new accommodation with the knowledge, skills, community and hope required to thrive in their new life.  

We also run The Bridge, a free six-week evening mental health course open to anyone in the community experiencing mental distress. The programme provides a practical toolkit to support long-term mental wellbeing.  

JOB OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES 

This role will play a vital role in advancing 999 Club’s ambitious plans to enhance its status, reputation, and support among both existing and wider audiences. At this pivotal moment in the charity’s history, the postholder will work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications and the Members’ Committee to co-develop and implement a bold new communications and marketing strategy. 

Building on a recent organisational rebrand, this role will ensure that the voices of those with lived experience remain central to the organisation’s messaging and identity. A key focus will be strengthening internal and external communication, uniting our diverse membership—which includes staff, clients, volunteers, trustees, and supporters—while also reaching new audiences through social media, direct marketing, PR, and media outreach. 

A major priority will be the relaunch and expansion of the 999 Club’s Membership Scheme and Champions Programme, designed to deepen awareness and support for 999 Club across Southeast London and beyond. Underpinning these efforts, the postholder will manage the Donorfy CRM database and ensure the ongoing maintenance and development of our WordPress website.

Coram’s Research Impact and Evaluation Team includes 12 researchers and a network of research associates, pro bono analysts and peer researchers. We carry out qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods research with children and young people which often includes their parents/carers and the professionals who support them. This includes a wide range of evaluations from feasibility studies and process evaluations through to large-scale, multi-site experimental and quasi-experimental impact evaluations. We work in-house to support colleagues in the Coram group of children’s charities to evaluate their effectiveness and include the voice of children and young people. We are also commissioned to carry out evaluations for the What Works Centres, the public sector including local authorities, central government, and the NHS, as well as other third sector organisations.

As a team we aspire to be child-centred, rigorous, grounded in experience, embedded in practice, collaborative and impactful. This is a brilliant opportunity to turn housing options into real, lasting move-on opportunities for people who are ready to take their next step away from homelessness. As PRS Access and Resettlement Officer, you will be out there opening doors: building relationships with landlords and letting agents, identifying suitable private rented sector options, and helping clients move into homes where they can build stability, independence and confidence.

Day to day, you will work closely with Single Homeless Project (SHP) caseworkers and frontline teams to identify clients who are ready to explore PRS move-on, assess affordability and tenancy readiness, support property searches, arrange viewings, liaise with landlords, and help clients navigate the practical steps needed to secure a tenancy. You will provide clear advice around housing options, welfare benefits, tenancy expectations and sustainment, while supporting colleagues to feel confident using PRS pathways as part of their move-on planning.

You will need to be creative, persistent and confident in your communication, especially when negotiating with landlords, unblocking barriers or advocating for clients who may have been let down by systems before. About you:

Our team of Maia Mentor Advocates deliver consistent, holistic support to a small caseload of YWG, working to build relationships of trust, empower YWG to explore their identities, sense of safety, aspirations, and providing practical help and advocacy where needed. As a CJS Advocate for Maia, the postholder will work closely with the Maia Team to provide gender and age specific support to young women and girls at risk of gang involvement, exploitation or in contact with the criminal justice system, to safeguard YWG, capture and record outcomes and enhance the knowledge of other professionals working with this cohort.

About You: 

To be successful as the Mentor Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:

You will bring your experience and ability to work intensively with a selected cohort of YWG (aged 13-25), providing centre-based and outreach services and adopting a YWG-centred, strengths-based approach to deliver a range of support and interventions designed to: increase awareness and understanding of healthy relationships; reduce risk and increase feelings of safety; build self-confidence and confidence in professionals and support services; and empower YWG to assert their rights and make choices about future goals. Confidently and sensitively bring the ability to proactively assess risks and safety concerns, raising concerns with the Maia Service Manager, ensuring that, where possible, concerns are discussed openly with YWG, working within local safeguarding frameworks and taking appropriate action to safeguard YWG whilst working within a model of empowerment.

You will have a strong understanding of the challenges facing vulnerable YWG including issues related to violence against women and girls and/or the criminal justice system, and experience of community engagement, advocacy and support work with young people and experience of using motivational interviewing and coaching techniques, with the ability to demonstrate a YWG-centred approach to building trust and rapport.

The successful candidate will be confident working with relational databases and CRM systems, with strong SQL and Excel skills and a keen eye for detail.
