We are seeking a Governance and EDI Officer, on an 12-month Fixed Term Contract, to support the Governance and EDI team. Please note that governance meetings are usually held between Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, so applicants should be available to attend meetings on these days as required.
The Governance and EDI Officer will work closely with Trustees, the Senior Leadership Team, and other key stakeholders (both internal and external) to help deliver the calendar of governance committee, board and panel meetings ensuring adherence to pre-defined service standards and ensuring that all discussions, decisions and follow-on actions are recorded, communicated and actioned as appropriate, alongside supporting team members with EDI initiatives, including the Society’s EDI Community, the 2026 online EDI Symposium, Society involvement in the 2027 Minoritised Life Scientists Future Forum and organisational mentoring schemes.
The post-holder will support with administration and management for various Committees by compiling and preparing agendas and associated papers before each meeting, preparing Chair Notes and producing accurate minutes of meeting within the agreed timelines. You will also act as a liaison between the Society/PPL and Committee members on practical and logistical matters, such as supporting with expenses, as required.
The role will provide administrative support for the Nominations process and success planning, including Committee Chair, Trustee and Director inductions, along with drafting and reviewing policy documents and terms of reference. In addition, providing support on EDI initiatives with the wider team on the EDI Toolkit management.
Suitable candidates will have experience in Committee work, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders. The successful candidate will also be able to present information in a concise report format, with strong attention to detail, while being able to work flexibly to manage competing demands as required.

Part of a team of Outreach and Project Workers pivotal to the delivery of an exciting new project focused on reaching women identified as at risk of homelessness and exploitation. The Luna Project supports women at risk of rough sleeping, homelessness and exploitation. The focus of this legal work is on non-legal aid funded matters, supporting people to preserve immigration status and for some become British Citizens. While the majority of the immigration advice and representation at RMJ is free for clients, this service we charge an affordable fee to help those who cannot find affordable and professional representation.

We are creating a new Research & Insight Consultant role to strengthen this capability. The role will provide the research and insight spine for Consultancy, while operating as aconsultant in its own right.
The successful candidate will bring significant experience of strategy, consultancy or senior strategic leadership within the charity sector, alongside deep expertise in at least one area of fundraising. They will be confident working with senior stakeholders, leading complex projects, developing strategic recommendations and contributing to the growth of a consultancy business.
Research and insight will be a significant part of the role. The postholder will advise project teams on research methodology, lead research-led assignments where appropriate, ensure research is appropriately scoped and costed, and build a strong associate research capability.
The postholder will be expected to lead consultancy projects, develop strategic recommendations, build senior client relationships, contribute to proposals and pitches,identify opportunities for further work and help generate new consultancy business through their expertise and network.
To qualify for this post, candidates must be able to demonstrate:
Comprehensive senior-level experience within charity fundraising, consultancy, strategy or a closely related field
Comprehensive expertise in at least one fundraising income stream or specialist area
Demonstrable research, analytical and insight skills, with the ability to determine what evidence is needed to answer a strategic question

The Role:
Manage the Director's diary, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel and logistics for senior staff as required.
Provide comprehensive administrative and business support across the Directorate.
Prepare agendas, papers, and accurate minutes for internal and external meetings.
Assist with meeting co-ordination, including scheduling, preparing papers, taking actions.
Process invoices, raise purchase orders, track spending against credit card spend and support financial reporting.
Support financial processes, including processing invoices, beacon (CRM) updating and credit card reconciliation etc.
Provide support to cross-directorate projects, tracking actions and deadlines, and preparing materials.
Support the collation of information and data for reports to senior leadership, trustees, and funders
Support reporting processes across the Directorate
Assist with planning and delivery of internal and external events, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
Project manage events across the Directorate (e.g. external events, Directorate wide meetings etc), including booking travel for Co-Production Partner's participation.
