The role at a glance
We’re looking for a hands‑on Digital Communications Associate to join Ufi’s small, ambitious communications team.
This role is suited to someone with a few years’ experience in communications or digital content, who is ready to take the initiative, shape ideas and play an active role in how Ufi communicates its work and impact. You’ll have more autonomy than a typical entry‑level role, using your judgement to shape content and priorities, with support from a small senior communications team.
A core part of the role is leading our day‑to‑day social media activity – managing our channels, creating engaging content (copy, graphics, video), and helping shape how Ufi tells its story online. You’ll also contribute to wider communications activity across Ufi, from promoting grant funds and ventures activity to supporting major campaigns and our online community.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the work, thinking strategically about digital comms, and working collaboratively in a small team where your judgement and ideas genuinely shape what we do. The successful applicants will be appointed at the July Board meeting however their term of office will commence in October 2026. The Board typically meets online however there are approximately three in-person meetings a year, of which one also includes an overnight stay.
As a full Board Member, the remuneration is £6,280 p.a. plus reasonable expenses.

We are excited to recruit a Community Organiser for our Bedford Parent Power project, funded by the Harpur Trust. The Brilliant Club will work in partnership with the Harpur Trust, local schools and university partners to engage with parents in Bedford. This role offers a meaningful, paid opportunity to empower parents and carers to address barriers their children face.
Bedford Parent Power utilises the community organising-based model first created by King’s College London and Citizens UK with South London Parent Power, which has now grown into a movement of 16 Parent Power chapters across the UK. Parent Power supports parents and carers to develop skills in community organising and advice and guidance on accessing higher education, empowering them to make change to support their children’s future and ensure that they have a fair chance in education and their future careers.

This is a vital role for the Bikeability Trust in leading the management of over £78 million of Active Travel England grant funding to 2029 for the provisiion of Bikeability training and management of the grants programme. We are also launching a new fundraising and income generation strategy for the next three years. You will have significant experience of charity finance and reporting. An established leader with excellent financial acumen, you will have used these abilities to establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, external stakeholders and networks.
